Sunswept Bay is a charming retreat located on the canal in Jamaica Beach, offering a perfect getaway for guests.
This property is designed for those who appreciate stunning views, a peaceful environment and the thrill of a good catch.
Each room in the house boasts a balcony, providing breathtaking views of the bay and the surrounding scenery. The canal's proximity ensures easy access to some of the best fishing spots, with abundant opportunities to catch a variety of fish. Whether you prefer casting a line from the deck or venturing out onto the water, the fishing experience here is exceptional.
Central AC & Heat, Charcoal Grill. Lounge furniture available on upper deck. Kayaks are not available for use. Playground and offers access to the swimming pool for a small fee. Pool is open Memorial Day-Labor Day. Tuesday -Sunday 12-7. STR25-000197

We loved every moment of our stay here. Beautiful deck that has the most amazing view of the canals. Lovely bay home, very spacious and had everything we needed. Can't wait for our next stay here!!!

Last Minute Family Getaway

We booked this house last minute not expecting too much, but was a real charmer. Very clean, great location and very friendly management. I will rent from them again. Really had a great time.

Relaxing Stay

We had an awesome stay at this beautiful property. I’ve read some reviews on the 3rd bedroom downstairs. It was very clean had a queen and a twin with ac and a tv. What more could you ask for? Love this property and will be back!!

Nice Bay House

Nice bay house with Great crabbing! Very good design for 2 couples. We did not need or use the downstairs bedroom, but access to a downstairs bathroom was convenient.

Exactly what my family was looking for!

For our first vacation to take with our 3 kids, this vacation rental was just what we wanted. Very peaceful, clean, and kept the kids entertained the whole time. We fished, caught crabs, and swam right off the deck of the home and made some great memories, plus the beach is just .4 miles away and it was beautiful! Overall this is a great vacation spot to enjoy some real peace and quiet and just enjoy life.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been staying here during the Lone Star Rally for the last 4 years. I absolutely love this property. Watching the sun rise on the water from the front patio, and then getting to see the sun set on the water from the back deck is simply amazing. I see that they have made some changes to the downstairs bedroom that really surprised me and it looks really good. The neighbors are very friendly also. Looking to make year number 5!!

Overall great experience

This place was smaller than I thought. But it fit us well. We loved fishing off the deck and easy access to the beach. Property management were very friendly. I will book directly with them next time. Cons for this place. No washer or dryer. Downstairs room was very hot. Had to purchase my own portable ac. It also smelled very moldy so had to get air freshener as well. Also if you use the water hose make sure to do so in grass as the concrete patio holds water. Overall we had an amazing time here and will definitely be back but in another house with more accommodations to make our stay easier.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in a great location. However it needs several updates and the bedroom on the ground floor isn’t usable space. Definitely mold there. The house was musty overall and we had to air it out for several hours. It rained and there was standing water downstairs which I am sure is the cause of the mold and musty smell. Finally there was no washer or dryer so we spent part of our time doing laundry at a laundry mat. This could be a great rental but lots of things need to be updated and fixed. Such a shame because the views are excellent not only in the front but the back as well.

Beautiful Location

Chose this location because it’s perfect for swimming and fishing and close to the beach. Check in was easy. Neighbors are great. The home needs updating. It did smell like pesticides and we opened the windows to air out. Especially downstairs. We took paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags. You’ll need them. My biggest issue, we checked out early and left the keys in the dropbox. I waited until the office was open and called to let them know that the garbage disposal was not working and when my son-in-law put his hand in there to see why it was stuck, he pulled a piece of glass. Later I received a call telling me that there was a lot of glass in the garbage disposal and asked me what I broke. I didn’t break anything. I was the one that reported it. I was accused of lying. Was told that he found it hard to believe that in 4 days, I didn’t use the sink. I am offended. We took paper plates, plastic cups and cutlery and we drank from either plastic or aluminum cans.We ate smoked brisket that we took, we grilled hamburgers and did not need the garbage disposal until the last day when we made spaghetti. Then he said that I should have reported to which I told him that I didn’t call the emergency number because it wasn’t an emergency and it was a holiday. It was back and forth and at the end he said he would have to talk to the “big boss” and let me know if I had to pay. I gave him permission to go to the house and go through my trash if he didn’t believe me. Ruined it.

Amazing views

The sunset views from the deck were amazing! We lucked out with great 80* plus weather! I will definitely be back! The only drawback was the water pressure was not strong!

The house is on the water, and we rented two kayaks for our family from this place: /It was nice to go for a walk in a kayak down to the waters of the State ark, where one can see many birds.There are three rooms, which is nice for a large family. One of the rooms is in the basement.One thing that could be better is if the kitchen cabinets' doors were not so sticky... These cabinet doors require a thorough cleaning, or even replacement. Otherwise, the house is well kept and nice.
