Looking for high-end accommodations in West End? Look no furtherā€”our beachfront villa on Half Moon Bay offers the authentic RoatĆ”n experience, plus all the amenities youā€™d expect from an upscale resort.

Weā€™ve designed each room to be a retreat in itself. The villa boasts four spacious bedrooms, three of which have in-suite bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms have views of the Caribbean, and all four have their own flat-screen TVs. The master bedroom is especially luxurious, with vaulted hardwood ceilings and floors and a private balcony that looks out over both Half Moon Bay and the Caribbean. Each room is decorated in an eco-spa style, giving the villa a sense of tranquility and comfort.

Outside, youā€™ll find a private infinity-edge plunge pool, which overlooks the ocean. Coupled with the partially covered patio and resort-caliber furnishings, itā€™s the perfect place to kick back and relax.

In addition to all this, the villa features dual-zone AC, a brand new water filtration system, a high-end kitchen with granite and stainless steel accents, plush linens, an infrared BBQ, and high speed Wi-Fi. We also provide a full concierge service through our local property manager, and our private chef is available upon request.

For travelers who want an authentic RoatĆ”n experience, the villa couldnā€™t be better situated. West End is known as more of a neighborhood than a resort town, and youā€™ll find fewer tourists here than you would in West Bay. Even so, there are plenty of activities within a half hour of the villa, including dolphin encounters, ziplining, horseback riding, scuba diving, and golfing, to name a few. You can even visit an iguana farm!

You donā€™t have to go far to snorkelā€”hop in the water right off the villa, and youā€™ll be swimming in the worldā€™s second-largest barrier reef. Approximately 96% of all Caribbean marine life is found here, and youā€™re likely to encounter sea turtles, lionfish, lobsters, and more.

West end stay

Awesome property in west end, great location with walking distance to a bunch of food, drink, and beach. Snorkeling right of the front door, Marvin the house attendant was great as well. Only issue we had with water temperature was fixed within a few hours. The Roatan Vacation Rental crew onsite was very responsive and we saw them in the area almost every day. Thanks for an awesome stay!!!

Perfect location snorkeling just steps away

Couldnā€™t ask for a better place for my family. Kids loved being able to jump in the ocean and snorkel just steps from our door. We could even watch them from the back porch. Communication is great. Will stay here again.

The check in at Sandy Bay, Lawson Rock was smooth and quick. Staff answered questions well. The villa was great. We stayed in Coral Vista #1. We were there 12/6/26-12/15/25. We had a slight ā€œissueā€ with the dryer and maintenance was at the villa within 15 minutes. Incredible response time and issue was resolved. There are approximately 15 stairs into the villa. First floor has a bedroom with a double and single and bathroom off the kitchen. Large open concept room. Upstairs rooms were lovely each with their own bathroom. The view from the master bedroomā€™s balcony was beautiful. The caretaker, Marvin, was available each day and answered all questions or got answers when needed. The beach is literally steps from the entry to the villa. Snorkeling was lots of fun and we sawmore fish in the bay than when we went on our excursion. We did not use the kayaks but they were available. Lots of floats and life jackets in the cubby by the main door. We didnā€™t realize there were drawers under the master bed for several days. Thought it odd with no dresser, but the captains bed resolved that.Detour Roatan was also very helpful when we called them. Transportation from the airport was easy. Deiver had a sign and was at the airport timely. He took us to the grocery store so we could stock up. Dish soap, laundry soap, TP, hand soap and bar shampoo was provided. Kitchen was stocked with all the essentials and coffee filters. We will be going back!Enjoy, Vicki

Coral Vista, simply perfect

We had the best multi family vacation of all time. Two families totaling 10 people, very comfortable, with great access to everything Roatan has to offer. Bertha and Lizz were great, and we enjoyed Chef Susan on multiple occasions preparing meals. The area was safe and had so much to do and to enjoy, with the house so well appointed we were never wishing for more.

We returned to this property!!! Second year in a row!! We love it so much and appreciate the location!! Canā€™t beat it! Beautiful water, coral reef right at your door step! Wonderful Location!!!

We loved Coral Vista#1! The property was awesome perfectly located on the reef!! Clean and had everything we needed for our family if 6 adults! West End is great and quaint! Water taxi took us to West Bay and that is all we needed!!! Happy we stayed in West End!!! Property management was the best!! Very responsive and sweet!! We will be back!!!

Right in the heart of it all

Our stay was in the busy area of West End. Sitting on the deck was the best. You could scuba dive in the morning and be sitting on the deck in and out of the infinity pool all afternoon. My boys loved using the Kayaks. All the restaurants were within walking distance.

Fun time and BEST location for local Diving

The house was great and located 30 steps from the dive shop we used (Roatan Divers, a great group of folks). Air conditioning was refreshing in the hot weather, as was the pool. The only issue was the water pressure, which is a problem on the island. I'd suggest replacing the shower heads with low-volume heads.

Perfect location!

The house worked great for our family, 8 adults. The location is amazing, with beach at the bottom of the stairs. We did a large groceries buy at Eldon's on the way from the airport, anything else we needed was in walking distance from the house. No need to rent a car. The kitchen is well outfitted, except plastic wrap would have come in handy. Wish I could go back -30celcius, here today.

Best location EVER!!

This residence is centrally located in the vibrant West Endā€”a prime destination! With a party of 9 adults, the accommodations were cozy and met nearly all our needs. While suggesting the addition of extra beach towels, I must commend the well-stocked kitchen for those inclined to cook. West End itself is a treasure trove of delightful restaurants, charming shops, and a myriad of activities. Indulge in the pleasure of sitting by the ocean, sipping a cocktail, and witnessing the breathtaking sunset. My return to Roatan is definite! The laid-back island atmosphere and warm, hospitable locals provided the perfect backdrop for our Christmas vacation.

Amazing property/location

From booking to check out this property and the management were top notch! The communication was excellent which was a major concern for me bringing my kids out of the country. All questions were answered beforehand and the house was exactly how it was advertised. Very clean! The only thing I would mention is if you are traveling around Easter time, be aware of the major celebrations that occur. For the first 3 nights of our stay there was loud music until 3am. Other than that, everything was great.

Great location, lovely villa!

We loved our stay at Coral Vista 1. The property managers are top notch. When we arrived we had a few problems...the safe batteries went dead after we had locked our stuff inside it, and we had no Wi-Fi. The safe was an easy fix, but the Wi-Fi was a challenge. It actually got fixed on a Sunday, which was amazing! Marvin, the on site caretaker was friendly and wonderful, and a great source of information. Liz also was a great help. I highly recommend this property. The snorkeling was excellent, and easy access from the beach right next to the steps in front of Ginger's Restaurant (great food there also!). Our small group of 4 had a great stay here...close to restaurants, some small grocery stores, and water taxi's to West Bay.

Great place in a great location

Couldn't have gotten a better property. The location was perfect. The only downside was having to walk through the beach to get to the property (it's like having warm champagne). However, I expected this and have no problems with it. The property was beautiful and we were blessed with great breezes while we were there (although this is probably unusual for roatan). The big downside was the breezes were so nice there was no reason to get into the pool! No breeze, then get in the pool! Beautiful property in a great location right in West End. I would rent this property again no problem. I would actually love to buy it!

Amazing!

I use air b and b and Vrbo all over the world and mostly have to adjust my expectations bc the reality is never as ā€œpolishedā€ as the listing. Not this place! Super clean, modern and quality furniture and appliances, fully stocked kitchen, new bbq. The view off the balcony is to die for!!! 5 stars we will def be back.We also loved that everything in west end is walkable!! Itā€™s more of a chill town-vibe with lots of great restaurants, shops and scuba places vs. West bay that is more resort-ey. Great snorkeling right off shore. We took a water taxi to west bay for 1 day (5 pp). No need for car, and there are a couple larger grocery stores that are only a 15 min cab ride. We arranged airport pick up with the property managers and they offered to stop at a grocery store on the way to the property for small extra charge. We declined but should have done that. There are convenience stores in west end where you can buy very basics & booze and a couple fruit stands. If you want to make any kind of substantial meal, youā€™ll probably need the grocery store visit. A few tips for people who are thinking of visiting. Enjoy!!

Excellent experience!

We were a group of four friends, first time in Roatan. The location of Coral Vista 1 was perfect for us. Gingers restaurant/pub was steps away with fantastic food and great service. The Roatan Dive Shop was steps the other way and their staff was terrific! So knowledgable and friendly. We felt at home after a few days. Javier the night guard was wonderful to visit with. We always gave him a bottle of water when we returned to our vila and he was very appreciative. Marvin, the groundskeeper helped us with any questions we had, and was so helpful. We appreciated his friendly smile each morning when he cleaned the pool and tidied up around the yard. The location of Coral Vista 1 is wonderful. Right in Half Moon Bay with impressive snorkeling right off the doorstep. So many restaurants close by and the beach is right there too. Natalie was on the beach every day providing beach chairs for $5 . We loved West End and all the people there. By the end of our two weeks we felt like we belonged to a community. Thank you so much for making our holiday a memorable one.

The Perfect Location

Coral Vista #1 was perfect for our group of two families (8 people). The location was amazing. The management was spectacular. Marvin was so kind and attentive. We arranged an airport pickup and had great service from door to door. We bought groceries on the way to the place and did not rent a car because Half Moon Bay is the most perfect place on the island. There is snorkeling, shops, yoga and even a ship with a rope swing all within Half Moon Bay. We used the kayaks and went to Sandy Bay and snorkeled along the way. That was spectacular snorkeling. Our favorite parts about the location is that we could see the kids in the water and sit on our breezy back patio. The breeze kept the mosquitoes away. Sand fleas?? We didnā€™t get any bites on our beach but did on other beaches. Not sure whyā€¦ Gingers is right next door so we got drinks and food there and there is an ice cream store for the kids. We felt extremely safe at this location. The locals do sit below the patio at times, but were harmless and never spoke to us. Overall everyone involved with the rental of Coral Vista #1 was kind and helpful and the place was clean and cool. I would strongly recommend staying here!!

Absolute Perfection

Coral Vista #1 could not have been more perfect for our visit this past week. Maybe it was a bit big for four of us (my husband, sister-in-law and brother-in-law plus me) but we just loved it. The house had everything we needed - incredible snorkeling was right out the door as well as all of the fun and delicious West End restaurants. We hired Leonel at the Water Taxi stand for a half day trip to snorkel, see the dolphins and starfish and visit the Roatan Brewery in Palmetto Bay. It was so much fun that two of our party hired him again to go fishing two days later. They came home with delicious tuna which was used for grilling and ceviche. Marvin took great care of us at the property and Frankie was available for any car transportation we needed. The beds were super comfortable and the porch with the pool was an incredibly relaxing place to sit and read and enjoy the breeze and views. We did hear music from Sundowners in the evening but only until about 9pm. Yes there were a couple of local roosters, but I only ever heard them after I was up. We took a water taxi to West Bay for a day, and while the snorkeling there was incredible, we were so glad we stayed where we did. I can't wait to go back and will rent this house again.

West End Paradise

The location to all the activities is excellent: snorkeling, resturant and access to all island activities was near perfect! Just walk, land taxi or water taxi, can not bet! The Coral Vista, was as advertised and what you see in the pictures. It was great for 6 adults, each having a bedroom and a bathroom. The master bedroom, with the view of the bay, was spacious! The check in process was easy and quick. Also, when there was trouble with 1, of the 2 whole house AC systems, within 8 hours of reporting (overnight) to Mike with Customer Service, it was resolved. The owner Dennis was equally responsive to enquiries. Marvin, the house man keep the non heated pool and patio clean and neat. Upon arrival, he met us to transport our luggage to and from our unit. Which is a short walk across the beach. You can not pull up a car directly in front the unit. Also, Pedro, our night security guard, was extra bonus. While there is little to no crime against tourist, it was nice extra protection if needed. The only negative, which is systematic of the area, it was a little noisy at night. Also, other then the master bedroom having a magnificent view, the other bedrooms are in the rear of the unit with no view and itā€™s a little noisier. Thank you Dennis and the Customer Team of Liz, Mike, Jimmy, Brian and Kiana, for a awesome time!

Great location, poor property management

We travel globally extensively and our expectations were missed by this property PROS: *. The property is well located within West End and in walking distance to many restaurants and good snorkeling *. Marvin, the daily caretaker, is wonderful. He cleaned up the pool and deck everyday, checked on us, and was the only one that was consistently responsive. *. We used Detourroatan to arrange chefs and massages. they were great and on time, responsive, etcā€¦Marvin also recommended a private snorkel excursion that was also just what we wanted and terrific. CONS: *. The listing misrepresents water views. The master bedroom has the only true water view and itā€™s lovely. One of the other bedrooms has an extremely partial view of the water, but the key was lost to unlock the balcony, so itā€™s not accessible. Also, two of the bedrooms have locks on the outsides from the hallways, but not from the insides. *. We lost power twice during our stay. The backup generator did not operate either time. We reached out to the property management company and he was beyond rude and condescending. He told us the power would be back on in about 45 minutes and it was over 7 hour which means, no A/C, no water (incl toilets), no fridge, no flashlights or candles. The owner refunded about 15% of our fees though. *. Also many cockroaches we had to kill, no blinds or way to keep the light out of the bedroomsā€¦just sheers, roosters and cats, locals getting high right below the deck.

Coral Vista #1 is AWESOME! It's a great house with tons of storage, and all the amenities & extras you would expect. The property management team was incredible. Any issues were handled immediately. Marvin with maintenance, was so helpful, & kind, and kept the pool, deck & grounds immaculate! Liz from the office was fantastic as well. She was a plethora of knowledge & information. The snorkeling was beyond belief & right outside the front door. It was like you were in the worlds most amazing aquarium! The view & location was perfect as well. And then there is Ginger's, which is also right next door. Great food & service. Anita & Winston are amazing neighbors as well. Fishing, chair rentals, SUPs, water taxi, massage etc. They are kind, wonderful & so helpful! Thank you to ALL of West End. My husband had a medical emergency while we were there & the property management & the staff at UNIMED were there every step of the way. And the owner of the house was truly a blessing in our situation. He accommodated us so generously & we are extremely grateful! I would 100% recommend Coral Vista #1 to everyone, you will not be disappointed! Its even bigger & better than the pictures!

In the center of the photo you can see the orange, rectangular roofs of the five Coral Vista Villas. Ours is the one on the right, just steps from Half Moon Bay beach.

The cluster of buildings to the bottom and along the water is West End Village. Here you will find everything from restaurants to convenience stores to dive shops to souvenirs and night life.

Above the Villas is Half Moon Bay. As you can see, the water is so clear you can almost spot the fish on the reef! From our home you can walk out onto the beach and slip into the Bay for a swim, a snorkel, a shore dive or even take the two sea kayaks out for a leisurely paddle up or down the coast line.

We purchased Half Moon Bay House after staying in one of the sister villas with our four children in March of 2011. During that trip, we explored the island, did a bunch of diving, hit the zip lines and generally decompressed. It became apparent over the week that RoatƔn was an island on the cusp - in the process of being 'discovered' but far from over developed and commercialized - and West End was a truly unique and frankly, cool place from which to experience all that RoatƔn has to offer.

We had such a great time, we wanted to own a part of it and, hopefully, share that with you and guests from around the world.
