Great family rental - Roof top deck- Close to beach and close to town!

Traditional fire island home in the perfect location. Located just south of Midway, quick walk to the beach and a quick walk to shops and restaurants along Main st. 4 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom downstairs and 1 master bedroom with full bathroom upstairs. Beautiful furnished roof top deck with incredible views for a relaxing experience. There is an enclosed front porch complete with porch swing. Huge wrap around deck with grill, outdoor chairs, tables and outdoor shower. Perfect for relaxing with a cocktail after the beach. There are 8 bicycles, washer- dryer, air conditioners and enough towels for everyone. Email us for more pics. Families only please.
Ocean Beach is a sophisticated town and besides the most beautiful ocean beaches in the world it is home to at least 10 fine restaurants and night clubs featuring highly talented chefs and entertainment. You will not see any cars because they are forbidden on the island. Strolling, biking and (when there's much to carry home) wagons are the means of transportation. A wagon will be provided when you get off the ferry. You can box or bag necessities to the freight ferry at the end of Maple Ave before 9 am. Freight will arrive in OB about 1230PM. There will be a small charge for either method. If you have a great deal to carry, there is hand truck and/or shopping cart available

25 and older accompanying children under 18 please. No house parties, No sweet 16 parties, no prom parties without adequate adult supervision. (PLEASE INQUIRE BEFORE BRINGING PETS)

Great location between town and beach. Beach access at end of block was very convenient. 7 adults stayed and never felt cramped. Host was very easy to communicate with and gave helpful suggestions.

Perfect for our family of 8Cottage walk was a very Convenient location. Close to the beach and ferry.Enjoy bicycling around. The sunsets were amazing Especially love the sailboat The restaurants were superb and even ran in the 5k, the last morning of our stay. Looking forward to returning next summer.Highly recommend!

Typical beach house. Wrap around deck was great. The rooftop deck we felt was not safe with little kids. Loft bedroom is great! Close to the beach and town.

Terrific house in Ocean Beach conveniently located one block to town or the beach. The house has a wonderful screened in front porch and a large outside deck with ample seating. The house is well equipped with kitchen ware, beach towels & chairs, bicycles, etc.

Great Communication and Location

This house has a great location. It’s only a few minute walk to town and the beach. The owner was excellent with communication and helped us rent a pack and play for our toddler so we didn’t have to bring one. There are some things in the house that need upgrading, but overall a great stay.

The property is great. Amazing location, and amazing hosts. They were responsive to our needs, and when the washer/dryer wasn't working properly, offered me a small refund to make up for the inconvenience. If it is very hot it takes about 24 hrs for the house to get fully cooled down because only 2 window AC units, the outdoor spaces could use some TLC (particularly the roof deck), and the kitchen is older/smaller (but connected dining and living rooms have plenty of space), and yet everything works well and the house itself has everything you could need/want, including all the extras (a great grill, bikes, wagon, beach chairs/umbrella, coolers, etc). I highly suggest this property for these reasons, and more. Perfect for families, and again, amazing and responsive hosts, location, and amenities.

A perfect beach vacation

Our family had an amazing stay in this lovely old school Fire Island cottage. Just a block from the beach and a block from the shops, the location was perfect. Beach in the morning, relax mid day and back for a late afternoon swim - it never got old! The house had most every think you would need - fairly well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels (beach too) and bicycles and the owners were super responsive. The roof deck was great in the evenings but the screened in front porch was a true slice of heaven. We all miss it! Thanks Bonnie and Don!

Great location

This house was in a perfectly balanced location between the ocean and town. Great for a family that needs space - no one was crammed, everyone had their own bedroom, the dining room was large, the family room was comfy and the porch was a nice bonus. There was a lot of outdoor space, beach chairs, and lounge chairs. My boys loved the outdoor shower. The rooftop deck was a good space and offered nice sunrise and sunset views of course for anyone with young children you would need to watch them. The owners were so super responsive and helpful.

Great location and owners!

We had a great time. The cottage is in a perfect location for the beach and the town. Don and Bonnie were great to communicate with. We loved the wraparound deck space and the outside shower. Several items at the property are in need of maintenance - most significantly the roof deck/stairs need considerable work and are not safe for use, but would be fantastic once repaired. Beach chairs and bikes were great to have but half of them were broken. With a little maintenance the cottage would be 5 stars for sure.

Perfect location

Perfect location with short walk to town and the beach! Owner was very responsive to questions or needs. The front porch was lovely and was used often.

Great Beach House

The property was immaculate. Homeowners left clear instructions for all of our needs while we were there. The roof top has great views! The kids loved the outdoor shower! The back deck was amazing for our family celebration of my daughter's sweet 16. It's private-- The house is centrally located in Ocean Beach-- close to town and down the block from the beach! My youngest loved the bikes and bike riding!! Great home!! Can't wait to go back!!

Great beach house!

My family and I stayed here for a week in the middle of summer. It was exactly what we were looking for in a vacation getaway. A short walk to town for dinner or ice cream and a short walk to the beach for tanning and swimming. The house offers all the amenities from home PLUS a great rooftop hangout that we enjoyed with our morning coffee and evening wine/beer. The house was clean, well cared for, and nicely appointed. All in all a perfect week spending time with the family.

True Beach Experience

Stayed in the middle of the summer. House was located in a great spot close to both restaurants and the beach. Plenty of room for the family. Kids felt like they were on there own private island. Sad when the week was over. Bring a camera because the sunrise and sunsets were unbelievable from the roof top deck.. We will be back again.

Great getaway

Stayed here for a week in August. Great getaway. Bikes are available if you want to adventure out further. House is perfectly situated between the beach and the town area. Roof top deck is a rare rental treat considering not too many homes have one. Great price for an unforgettable beach week. Can't wait to go again!!

Awesome House

Stayed here in September and had a blast! Owner was very available and house was clean and well stocked with towels and linens! Rooftop deck is amazing and so is the wrap around deck and enclosed porch! Perfectly situated between beach and town and we had a great time!!!
