In the Nantahala National Forrest a 1700 sq/ft, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath. Central heat and air conditioning. Sleeps 6 plus a queen futon in the family room. Screened in porch as well as an outside wrap around porch. Directly on the Nottely River which is approx. 150' wide. Complete kitchen, and all linens. Large family room and a secondary living room area. Stone, wood burning fireplace in the living room and a propane stove/heater in the family room. Large outside fire pit. Located in Murphy North Carolina . Valley River Cherokee Indian Casino is in Murphy, 12 miles away! Wireless internet, DVD players, ROKU, and tvs in every room. Over 700 hundred DVDs. Also satellite TV in the main Family Room! NOTE: There are 4 outside Blink security cameras. Each camera is above an exterior doorway, and aim away from the residence. These cameras are used for security purposes only when there is no one renting the house. They are turned off during the time of rentals. There are NO interior cameras!!!!

Amazing back porch overlooking the river! Every detail of the home was well thought out. Lots of cozy blankets for sitting in front of the fire. Loved the “Let’s get toasted” basket. Great touch! And only needed to step out the front door for a beautiful walk in nature. A truly exceptional home.

Always a Great Getaway

Our favorite place to stay when we visit Murphy, NC! Bob always takes excellent care of us, making sure the house is perfect! We were here over Christmas, and the house was beautifully decorated and added to our Christmas spirit!

Love this place!

This is one of our favorite places to stay when we vacation! The house & location are perfect. Close enough to shops, restaurants & things to do but secluded & quiet enough to get away from everything and unwind by the river. We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to get back!

Awesome stay on the river.

Second year in a row in this rental. Enjoyed our stay and just love sitting out next to the river and relaxing. Murphy N C is an awesome town with everything you may need.

Awesome Cabin and Location

The cabin was spacious and spotless. The location was perfect. The only downside was having to leave and come home. I would like to stay here again next year but longer.

Sooo great.

The place was absolutely great. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen made it super easy for all of us to hang out and prepare dinner. The patio was super relaxing and having the river right in the back yard was beautiful. We will definitely be coming back with friends, family, and just as a couple to enjoy this beautiful place.

Annual Sister Trip

Murphy holds a special place in mine and my sisters' hearts...this is our mother's birthplace and where we spent decades of summer vacations. This was our 3rd fall at this property...very clean and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Sitting by the river affords much peace and reflection. Highly recommend this property; good Lord willing, hope to return next year🙏

Wonderful stay - beautiful scenery

We really had a wonderful visit - hated to leave. We appreciate the owners sharing their residence with us. Not one thing was overlooked. They had every possible item to make your visit a memorable one. So comfortable and relaxing. Hopefully we’ll get back! Wonderful vacation!

Peaceful

This was our 2nd time here. Sitting on the back porch in the morning with coffee is wonderful. House has everything you need. Host is always prompt to respond. We came hoping to catch a few trout but didn't have any luck. The weather wasnt the best this time. The river gets up pretty high in the evening. The only cons were grass and weeds needed to be cut and spider webs knocked down around back porches.

Sorry the grass was too long. We have a lawn service come every other week and they mowed the week before you and after.

Was absolutely perfect. The house had everything and more to make our stay like a home away from home. We went to fish along the River as we are new to fly fishing. It was the perfect environment to practice as the River was about 2-4 ft deep and easy to navigate with waders. The River is wide enough for begginers. We caught several fish just outside the cabin and several more wading the River. Bob was a great host and responded immediately for the few questions I had. We can’t wait to come back

Perfect Getaway

Very well stocked, comfortable, clean property with modern technology. An abundance of cut wood for evening bonfires. Melodic river enhanced with daily release of dam water each pm. Local Murphy with increasing entertainment and dining.

Wedding in Murphy

My niece picked the Hackney Warehouse in Murphy as her wedding venue. We had over 100 people coming, booking cabins all over Murphy. I stayed here before and totally enjoyed the river and surrounding area. When I saw that it was available, I picked it up quickly. The house is furnished extremely well, is very relaxing, close to town, and great for winding down in the evenings.

This is a cozy property that I would highly recommend for families wanting a mountain vacation. We had a group of 4, with the cabin would comfortably sleep 6. It was wonderful to have a fire and sit on the swing while listening to the creek. Also, this is the first rental we've had where the kitchen was stocked above and beyond anything you would need to cook a meal. Also nice gas and wood fireplaces. That's great! Clean and cozy, would return!

Cool weather

My husband, adult daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. So did our dog, Kelbi! Everything is as stated, if not better. Cozy house leaves nothing to be desired. Wonderful beds, tvs, cookware, fire pits and fishing right in the back yard. It truly has all the comforts of home and then some. Murphy is a cute town and we were close enough to drive to the Bavarian themed town of Helen, Ga. We hope to return in the summer. Thanks, Bob, for everything!

a getaway with family

there was an oder there all the time. by the washer and dryer, master bedroom and at times in l.r. even the air freshener that was there didnt help. the twin beds were like sleeping on rocks and the living room furniture was extremely uncomfortable check in and out was simple. we enjoyed the river and seeing otters. because it was so uncomfortable furniture wise we would not stay there again

I am so sorry you did not enjoy your stay. As far as addressing each issue, the twin beds were purchased earlier this year and are 14" memory foam mattress. We have had several people sleep on them, including my son, with no complaints. You mentioned the living room furniture and I assume you are referring to the room with the stone fireplace. That large pine log couch is a futon, and we are aware it is not extreme comfortable, but it is not the main seating area and it is a trade off for an additional sleeping area. The odor you mentioned in the area of the washer and dryer I am unaware of. I wish you would have told me when you were staying so that I could have my cleaning people try to find the source and take care of it for you! I have had two other groups stay there since you were there and received 5 star reviews with no mention of an odor. I am very sorry you did not enjoy your stay.

Best Quiet Fishing Retreat EVER!

Pictures are accurate… but do not provide all the information necessary to fully evaluate this vacation home. So let’s begin: - location is perfect for trout fishing and amateur fly fishing. I have always liked the idea of waking up with a good cup of coffee and casting from the deck. You can do that here. There are a couple of holes within easy reach with waders. Of course, experienced fly fishers have the entire area to explore. Fish everywhere. - every aspect of this home demonstrates the clear attention to detail and quality craftsmanship throughout. We felt like packing everything up and taking it home lol. A LOT of love went into this property. - the owner is responsive and attentive. - Top 5 things that caught our attention: 1. Master bathroom is the best I have ever seen. Like showering in a rain forrest. The mirrors are heated. Wow. 2. The great room provides easy access to the entire home, and there are ample places for privacy and relaxation throughout. 3. The three decks are divided… one for BBQ (three pitmaster quality grills), a superb screened in porch, and a deck for the master suite. 4. The kitchen is well appointed with everything that is needed to cook at a gourmet level. The coffee bar is supports your favorite percolated coffee or Keurig. 5. We did not see or hear another human being. But we did see fox, many deer, unbelievable bird life, and the fish we caught lol. Only minor issue: narrow gravel roads to get there.

Great time!

This is our 2nd visit and we will be back. It's relaxing, peaceful, plenty to do or just do nothing. Amenities are as listed. They have thought of everything.
