One of the best houseboats in Central Amsterdam; luxurous, fantastic terrace on the waterand great view on a very good location, near the center.

Quiet, safe neighbourhood with many shops and restaurants right on the corner. Next to the beautifull Vondelpark and Musea aerea.

If you want a real comfortable stay, on a not common object, this is the place for you! Watch the boats and the swans passing by. Walk through the Vondelpark to the center and musea.

This is a beautifull well modern designed houseboat with large windows that let in a lot of light. It is an open space were you can interact easily You have a well and beautifull designed shower and seperate toilet.

The walls are white to make the space even more specious.

-One big bedroom with a double bed (kingsize) and a semi open room with a queensize bed;
-Open Kitchen, dishwasher, espresso machine etc.;
-Big living room with big launchsofa, LCD TV, dining table;
-fast wifi internet connection
-Soundsystem (connection bluetooth so you can play your own music;
-Seperate room with washer and dryer (MIELE);

Dutch charm on the canal

Wonderful place to stay - quiet neighbourhood, close to transport and sites, great local restaurants and cafes. Host was exceptional. Just can’t say enough great things about this property. Highly recommend.

Prefect Houseboat for your trip to Amsterdam

The houseboat provided a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay after touring Amsterdam and the surrounding countryside. It is very convenient to public transport, grocery stores and restaurants. Our host met us on site and property all the information we needed and the property and was very responsive to any questions. A great place to stay!!

Uniquely Amsterdam!

This was a great experience! We were able to enjoy all that Amsterdam has to offer, without actually living amongst the tourists. It's a wonderful neighborhood vibe, with cafes, plenty of places to eat, and buy groceries just blocks away. Popular Vondelpark is also an easy walk away. There's a metrorail nearby that brings you to the core of Amsterdam, but we walked to the museums and most other sites. The houseboat has a very comfortable living space with views from every window of the canal. There is an awesome deck to enjoy watching the boats go by. A wonderful neighborhood vibe that was quiet at night and always felt safe. It was, well, gezellig!

Houseboat in Amsterdam

We really enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam. It was a last-minute booking and we found Klaas for be a terrific host. The accommodations were in a terrific location and were exactly as we expected. Klaas had amazing recommendations for restaurants, bike rentals and canal boat tours. We highly recommend staying with klaas.

Absolutely perfect!

The houseboat was a unique and beautiful treat to our vacation. Equipped with everything you need. Klaas was welcoming and helpful, even with questions throughout the stay. Loved watching the ducks and boats go by and the gentle rocking at times. Very soothing. Easy walk to several tram stops, many places to eat in the area, and close to a supermarket. Felt very safe, even walking home at night. Would 100% stay there again!

Perfect stay

The houseboat is amazing ! We really loved it, especially in the morning with coffee on the terrace and in the evening with a glass of wine. The neighbourhood is great with excellent cafes and restaurants. And it is quiet which is enjoyable after a day walking around a crowed city. Many thanks to Klaas and his warm welcome. He provided us with so many useful tips. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to do everything. For our next stay in Amsterdam we will definitely choose the Houseboat again!

Away from the hustle and bustle

FANTASTIC! SUPERB! DELIGHTFUL! Lovely accommodation in hip, yet quiet, residential neighborhood. Within short walking distance to cafés, grocery store, and trams. A great place to relax after seeing all the de rigueur Amsterdam sights. Awesome patio for relaxing, listening to the birds, and waving at the passing boaters. Owner, Klaas is a thoughtful host and excellent communicator. I highly recommend and hope to return one day.

Better Than We Hoped For

The owner greeted us so we would know how things worked and to give us the key which was great. The houseboat was better than expected, with several furnishing updates since photos were posted. We only used the master bedroom and not the 2nd bed which is in sort of a nook in the hallway and it was fine. The deck was my favorite part for a snack and to raise a glass at the end of the day. The neighborhood is "residential peaceful" but within a 10-15 minute walk to the #1 & #17 trams which made things convenient.It was one of the nicest places we have stayed, with ducks swimming by besides. We'd definately choose it again.

Amsterdam get away

Klaas, was a fantastic host. Quick to respond, and very accommodating. The flat is as described. It was surprisingly spacious. It was in a nice neighborhood. Not quite central. But just outside. Easy enough to get around. And lots in the neighborhood. We came in late and he met us no problem. Even picked up a couple things from market. Foodhallen was a must. 5 min walk. And starting at Jacob was a phenomenal brunch and made great coffee. You are a close walk to museums as well. Amsterdam is easy to walk or jump on and off trains. The flat had everything including an outdoor space. Which we used everyday. The kitchen is large. You could easily cook. Or bring in and have everything you need. The refrigerator is small. And has no freezer which was only an issue because I got some ice cream from supermarket which was very close btw. Bathroom was large. Shower was comfortable something I was nervous about booking a house boat. But it was not an issue. The bathroom is a little dark fyi bring a lighted mirror for make up like my daughter did. Couch was great and there’s a nice tv with all apps hooked in so we even watched a movie one night. Also WiFi worked very nicely. An issue we have had in other vrbos. I highly recommend this location and this flat. If, I come back or my kids come I would love to stay here again. Thank you! For hosting us.

Sehr gut ausgestattet

Das Hausboot liegt in ruhiger Lage, ohne Verkehrslärm. In unmittelbarer Nähe befinden sich Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants/Cafés. Die Innenstadt ist in 20-25 Minuten mit der Straßenbahn erreichbar. Die Ausstattung ist hervorragend, z.B. elektrische Saftpresse, Smoothie Maker, Eiswürfel Maschine, Noise Box zum Einschlafen, um nur Einiges zu nennen. Ein- und Auschecken völlig problemlos und entspannt. Absolute Empfehlung!

Séjour sur l'eau

Un bon moment passé dans la maison sur l'eau de Klaas. A l'écart de l'effervescence d'Amsterdam, tout en étant à 10 mn du centre. La péniche est très bien équipée, rien ne manque, Klaas est très disponible, et de bon conseil pour se restaurer. Il nous tarde d'y revenir...

Awesome place!

Well located in a quiet residential area. Sat on the deck several times and waved at the many (not a bad thing) boats idling by. Pretty well equipped home. Highly recommend this place. Near every5ing we wanted to do/see or use the metro system.

Fabulous Houseboat!

Beautiful property - extremely well appointed with attention to detail. This is a special property and an amazing experience. The home is well decorated and beautifully designed - super comfortable beds and a lovely deck from which you can watch the swans swim by down the canal. Klaas provides everything needed for a great stay and was extremely helpful. Great location with many cafes and restaurants nearby. Will definitely return and highly recommend !

Short & sweet stay on the water.

Our stay at Klaas's houseboat was absolutely lovely. My parents and I stayed for 3 days during their visit and it was a nice, calm home for us during our short stay. We were able to use the kitchen to make breakfast and dinner during our stay. Everything that we needed was available to us and Klaas was available to answer any questions that we did have, which was greatly appreciated.

Besser geht's kaum

Sehr gut ausgestattetes Hausboot in bester Lage. Alles vorhanden für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt am Wasser. Das beste: die Terrasse direkt am Kanal mit vielen netten Begegnungen mit Wassersportlern. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Der in der Beschreibung angegebene Parkplatz ist kostenpflichtig (56.- Euro pro Tag).

Perfect in Every Way!

Stepping into this houseboat was like stepping into a dream. Absolutely everything about it was perfect - the decor and ambiance, the furnishings, the spaciousness, the floor plan, the cleanliness, the amenities, the fabulous kitchen, the outside deck - everything! Klaas met us at the door, gave us a tour with directions on the operation iof the ‘techy’ window blinds, a description of the art on the wall, and information about eveything else we could possible need to know about both the boat and the surrounding area. He returned shortly to drop off a package of Nespresso coffee pods into the mail slot because there were just a couple in the kitchen. Actually living on the houseboat was so much fun with watching boats, as well as friendly swans and ducks go by, and just seeing the water right at the windows. Even though it was chilly, we spent some time on the deck just enjoying the experience. The kitchen was fabulous, open to the living area and wonderful dining table, and well-stocked with pots and pans and utensils. Cleaning up was even fun! We shall always try to book the nouseboat when in Amsterdam. The location is accessible to the rest of the city by both tram and on foot. It is a lovely safe area with good marketsnearby. We have stayed in many Vacation rentals. This is our definite favorite!

Quiet neighborhood away from the crowds but still close enough to easily travel within the city

I like the property because it is away from the busy city center but easy to reach all points of interest within a 15 minute walk or from the local tram station Rhijnvis Feithstratt. The tram station is a 4 minute walk away and the #1 takes you directly to Central Station. The property was clean inside and had plenty of space. I thought there were 2 full bathrooms but the toilet is in one room and the sink and shower is in another. Don't be confused thinking there are 2 full bathrooms. It is really a one bedroom with the second bed in what would traditionally be an open office space. None the less it was comfortable and spacious and still cheaper than a hotel. We were able to cook our meals in the evening and watch the boats and ducks swim by as we sat on the patio and enjoyed a cocktail. Overall a great place and I would stay there again.
