The charm of Moonglade Cottage has been welcoming families and summer guests for the past 50 years. Location, amenities and the natural beauty of the surrounding area are what keeps these guests returning year after year.

Situated on the eastern shore of Suttons Bay, Moonglade boasts of spectacular sunsets framed by the twin birch trees from the deck off the master bedroom. The screened in porch with wicker furniture awaits you at days end to relax or simply hear the pristine blue water of Suttons Bay. The porch is a great place to take a nap or just read a great book while the midday sun hovers ahead. The cottage is equipped with engineered wood floors (no carpeting), granite/tile bath, compact yet efficient kitchen with all full size appliances with gas range, fridge and dishwasher, 2 bedrooms. both with queen beds, 2 TV's and all of the amenities of home.

The ambiance of the village of Suttons Bay lies just 2 miles away. Playing host to award winning restaurants, art galleries, and boutique shopping, Suttons Bay is another constant reminder of why guests travel to Leelanau County.

The heartbeat of Northwest Michigan is Traverse City located just 15 minutes away with world class restaurants, shopping and entertainment at nearby Interlochen Center for the Arts or Dennos Center. Be sure to take advantage of it all!

Nice cozy spot to relax after a day of wine tasting. Great location. Steep drop off to the waters edge. On a 2 lane road. Not much traffic but when there is it's faster than expected. Beautiful overall. Easy access & prompt host response.

The cottage was perfect. Our favorite activity was enjoying wine in the screened porch overlooking the bay. The location to downtown Suttonā€™s Bay and Traverse City were a plus. Our host was excellent in communicating with us from time of booking until our departure. The only regret was not being able to extend our stay for one more day.

We spent 3 nights at Moonglade cottage and had a wonderful stay. The cottage is equipped with everything we needed. Very clean and comfy. The back screened porch facing the water was a perfect place for relaxing. Evenings were spent around the bonfire. Tom, the host, was friendly and quick to respond. We will be back next year!

Stunning views, nice screened in porch. We used the kayaks. The house was about 2 miles from the TART trail and HopLots. The property is very small but clean. No washer/dryer. Bring coffee, tea, basic toiletries etc.

Scenic and peaceful

This cottage and area surrounding were lovely. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed. We spent so much time on that screened porch overlooking the water. What a treat. This place is my new favorite. I appreciate that I could bring my dog. All communication was very timely and every question was answered quickly. Wonderful, restful week.

We could not ask for a better experience at Moon Glade. It was so relaxing but also close to everything in town. We saw bald eagles and kayaked the glass waters. Highly recommend!

Beauty on the Bay

Our stay was great..we lucked out had good weather for April! Moonglade Cottage was very nice..clean..I didnā€™t cook much while there but could tell kitchen equipped very good for about anything! Located very close to Suttons Bay which is an amazing town..lots of good shopping & eating! Beds were very comfortable..places to store ā€œstuffā€! All in all very nice place ..we hope to return sometime during the summer!!!

Spring break

My daughter and I stayed in March for her spring break. We had our two four legged companions with us. We did a lot of hiking, shopping and eating. Enjoyed having coffee in the morning with the expansive view of the partially frozen bay. It was very cozy and relaxing on the days we stayed in. Really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely want to stay again. Very clean and cozy.
