Huge Swiss Lane Ski Cabin 5 Bedrooms, Hot Tub, Steam Shower

Unfortunately, Lilli tried to write the paragraphs below in her posting above but by accident hit the send button too soon. So I am posting it for her below. It was so great to host their family group, and I look forward to renting to them again! I stayed here with my family ranging in ages and every single person had an amazing time. With the indoor games, ping pong, basketball, nature walks, hot tub and of course the movie room - we always had something to do. The house was very spacious and we loved the privacy of the master with a huge tub and steam shower. We were especially impressed with how equipped the kitchen was with everything we could possibly need. I was a little apprehensive because of a recent review but we didn’t experience any of the things mentioned. Dishwasher worked great, had plenty of hot water in all parts of the house and never noticed any issues with the sliding doors, screens, outdoor lights or holes in the wall. If any of those issues were there we certainly didn’t see it. Thankfully, sounds like the repairs were completed as stated prior to our stay. The bear box did seem a little tricky to latch properly but if you take your time and pay attention when latching you should be fine. Alex (the host) is great at communicating and being available. He was super friendly and even accommodated a last minute request. Bottom line is we loved the house and would absolutely come back for a future vacation. Thank you!

Hi Dallen, I'm so glad to read that you enjoyed the house! And thank's for your comments about the Granny Unit. This is a new development. It was completed late last year and with 6 inch walls and special denim sound proofing insulation I had not experienced any noise transmission up until now. I use the unit during Ski season sometimes as I am an avid skier, and to provide maintenance for the house. This is really only for the winter months during ski season. I am going to check into increasing the insulation and doing some testing. Thanks, Alex

Hello, First let me address the issues raised: 1. Dishwasher. Our contractor had made repairs before Joel's stay but they failed again. A new top of the line KitchenAide stainless steel dishwasher is installed and working for following tenants. 2. Water heater issues. We have two water heaters: a tanked one to serve the downstairs bathrooms / kitchen and one dedicated to the upper master bath. It was on demand to serve the large jacuzzi tub. It has been replaced with a new Rheem water heater specifically designed for High Altitude applications. 3. We have purchased and installed a new Bear Box container for safe storage of garbage cans. 4. We have replaced the hanging roller mechanism for all the sliding doors. 5. We fixed back patio light fixtures. 6. I will replace broken screens when back from abroad. You may wonder after so many positive reviews how this situation arose. My situation has been complicated because I left the country on March 14th for a trip to the Dominican Republic where my girl friend has a villa that she rents out for vacation rentals as well. The lockdowns worldwide started shortly after arrival and we had to make the choice and to stay and have air travel home not allowed. This lasted for 3 months during what became an unusually popular time for vacationer's to vacation in Tahoe. It has been hard to have my remote help (contractors and cleaning personnel) tend to things and catch all the problems and or the severity of them. Unfortunately my past renters did not report all the problems as they arose, and I only found out about them when family members visited. Thank you for listening..
