The Chapel is a luxurious holiday home which forms part of a converted church and sleeps four guests across two beautifully decorated bedrooms. The Chapel is bursting with colourful interiors and fun artwork whilst offering a cosy and high end stay. On the ground floor is an open plan living/dining room which is flooded with natural light from the skylight, a well equipped modern kitchen and a fun and quirky cloakroom. Upstairs, are two uniquely decorated bedrooms with a family bathroom.

This two bedroom holiday accommodation in Stow-on-the-Wold is perfectly suited for those who may be visiting the Cotswolds without a car as everything is on your doorstep. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

Forming part of a converted church, and set over two floors, this property has a steep, winding staircase, which could pose difficulty to guests with limited mobility, or carrying babies, both in terms of their general movement and their ability to quickly exit the house in the event of an emergency
The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk

The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates

Well furnished apartment with interesting decor and artefacts. Warm and comfortable. Great location.

I stayed here with my adult daughter, central location and a very comfortable stay. We requested 2 keys but only got 1 key which was inconvenient due to a lot of rain and dull exterior lighting in the evening it was difficult to operate the Keybox to leave keys for each other. On our last day there was a leak from the skylight in the Dining area. We were told it would be fixed in a few days time and hope it is as would like to return to stay in the future. Appreciated the flexible check-in check out time. The code for rubbish disposal should be made clear in the Guidance Book. Stow is a great place to stay and quite a good bus service to Moreton, Bourton on the Water and Cheltenham. We went in January and found lots of places to eat and shop. Need to book to dine in Pubs and Cafes close at 3pm. Friendly atmosphere overall and helpful customer service. Disappointed with sub standard fish and chips from Greedy's at Stow.

A great little find and perfect Location

We had a fantastic stay in Stow on the Wold at the Chapel (2 couples). The decor was fabulous, very comfy and had everything we needed. The second room is very small with no storage but we were aware of this before booking so it was fine for us. We used the storage in the hallway to hang clothes etc. We had a slight issue with the boiler not working (fuse had gone) which meant no hot water. Unfortunately we struggled to get hold of the hosts initially, however, the guys managed to get us up and working until the host called back later that day. We popped to the shop around the corner where the host had pre-paid for new fuses and we were up and running again. I would highly recommend staying here. The food in the Indian restaurant was lovely. We also ate at the Sheep on sheep St, The Porch House (the quantity of the meat on the roast here was very small which was a real shame as everything else was lovely - we did provide feedback as it isn't a cheap roast and they took our wine off the bill) so great customer service. We had breakfast at the Hive which was also lovely. The Talbot was a great pub and you must buy flapjacks from flapjackery. All in all a great stay and we would happily return to this lovely little house and Stow on the Wold again *****

Lovely place to stay

We had a very pleasant stay, very clean, very well equipped, we appreciated the games, dvdā€™s and information book. Loved the decor and feel of the Chapel. Found free parking ,had to move the car once out of restricted area but so close it wasnā€™t an issue. Host was great at communicating and providing information. Overall we couldnā€™t fault anything, very pleased we had the chance to stay here. Stow on the wold is a great location to explore the area, and we had a lovely time.

Wonderful space and setting

We loved our stay at the Chapel in Stow on the Wold. The space was large enough for our family of four and was in an excellent location. The washer was super helpful. It did not have AC so we had to keep the windows open at night, but otherwise was perfect. Weā€™d stay again!

6 Day Stay at the Chapel to Explore Cotswolds

Lovely stay at the Chapel Stow on the Wold for 5 days during the late May Bank Holiday weekend . It was very central to explore all other areas of the Cotswolds Bourton on the Water, Bibury, Broadwell and Burford all which we were able to do. Lovely accomodation with lots of attention to detail eg. good location of plug sockets, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and owners thought of everything. Hard to park so we left the car in the High Street once we got a spot and used buses and a Taxi to get around. Would recommend.

Best location

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chapel. The apartment is clean and comfortable especially the beds. The location is bang in the centre of Stow. Parking is available on the main road but you have to be prepared to move your car a few times if you need to be close to the apartment. Can't fault the place in any way, the only surprise was the lack of recycling facilities. We'd love to return at Christmas.

We loved it!

My dream holiday couldnā€™t have been better! Great location and great apartment: the town is simply lovely, with a lot of restaurants, bars and shops near the apartment, and the house is cozy and welcoming. If you prefer to eat at home you will find all you need in the big kitchen, with a big Tesco at only 10 minutes walking distance. I am vegan and I have found some options both in the restaurants and in the supermarket. Last but not least, Stow-On-The-Wold is near to a lot of other villages, easily reachable by car, but you will also be able to have a nice walk around the countryside!

Spring break in the Cotswolds

The chapel in Stow was ideal for a short break in the Cotswolds for couples without a car. It is centrally located and a short walk to shops, bus stop and the oldest inn in England which serves good food. It's warm, comfortable and well equipped with lots of stylish, quirky features. There's no train station but the 801 bus from moreton-in-marsh runs every hour and passes through several pretty villages and on to Cheltenham.

Stow is an excellent location and The Chapel is a quirky property with great facilities and had everything you could want for a great stay. Great pubs, lovely shops tea rooms. Not a big place but perfectly formed

A very successful holiday - with fine weather - in the Cotswold.

An excellent apartment, centrally located for visiting various places in the Cotswold, with fine walking opportunities. Stow-on-the-Wold is a touristy but nice village. Parking options at the apartment are somewhat limited, mainly paid parking with a maximum of 2 hours. However, a nice resident of Stow pointed us to a free alternative 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment is recommended and is certainly suitable for us - visitors from the Netherlands - for a next holiday.

This apartment was in a fabulous location within seconds of cafes and shops.The apartment is as good as any you will find,we couldn't fault it.On a minor issue there is no outside space to sit for your morning coffee or tea.

Great break in Stow

We spent 5 days touring the Cotswolds from our base in Stow-on-the-Wold staying at The Chapel booked with Stay Cotswolds. We found the accommodation to be wonderful for our needs, centrally located in Stow within a few minutes walk of shops, pubs and restaurants and on street parking was easy and convenient. The Chapel is furnished to a very high standard and very clean. We toured around the area and used our car daily, it was very easy travelling around and to get in and out of the town at any time of day. We can definitely recommend this property and would return if staying in Stow again.

Girlie Weekend Away

Great little flat beautifully decorated and equipped . Very warm and comfortable on a sunny but cold weekend . Parking proved more of a challenge to find than indicated but clearly is much easier mid week than at weekends . Carrying heavy bags from a distance was not fun . It appears you could park outside and drop off stuff but no indication as to whether this is an option was given which would be helpful . Also not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or with young children . Second bedroom tight and only a normal double which was fine for one person. No where to put a case in second room but larger bedroom had enough space Overall we had a great time and Stow is a super place for eating out

Amazing little find in the heart of Stow

Such a lovely comfortable stay in the Chapel. The property was so clean and comfortable and we instantly felt at home. The location was absolutely perfect. We didnā€™t intend on exploring anywhere but Stow (been to the Cotswolds many times before) so this was perfect. Situated in the heart of stow we didnā€™t move our car once. I wouldnā€™t hesitate to recommend The Chapel to anyone. Thank you very much to the owners for providing such a wonderful home from home

Weekend away

We stayed for a long weekend in January and loved it. The Chapel was so cosy and warm. It was so inviting and had everything you needed and more. Decorated beautifully it was a delight to stay here. It Is in the perfect position to explore the Cotswolds.

Lovely place in the heart of Stow

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chapel - a quirky place in a fantastic location! Everything you need is provided. The only negative (which was unfortunately a big one for us) was the bed - the king size bed dipped so low in the middle that it was impossible for us both to sleep in, and we had to sleep in separate rooms all week! We also didnā€™t realise that the property is essentially one of a number of flats/conversions in the same building - we have a young baby, and wouldnā€™t have necessarily chosen a property with direct neighbours had we known. Aside from this we had a lovely time.

Fantastic apartment, centrally located so that you can enjoy everything that Stow has to offer

The apartment was exactly as advertised and furnished to an extremely high standard. Spotlessly clean, excellent beds and bedding which is always important. Despite being right in the centre of town very quiet at night. Parking a bit of a challenge but this is made clear so no surprises. Really couldnā€™t fault anything! My only suggestion would be regarding a welcome pack maybe? It would have been nice to have a dishcloth and maybe a few dishwasher tablets and coffee pods? A pint of milk in the fridge? But nothing that spoilt our enjoyment and will definitely be back again. Thank you

Amazing stay at The Chapel Stow on the Wold accommodation was five star beautifully decorated had everything we needed for our stay really comfortable beds, great location will definitely be returning . Lovely place, great location

Had a lovely few days in the chapel. Very cosy, fantastic location, perfect size for two of us, it would be a squeeze for four adults however. Loved the decor, very comfortable.
