A stay in a Sea Loft is a one of a kind experience...... you will enjoy the peace and quiet of a nature preserve with gorgeous marsh views.
Our two bedroom, two bath villa is a nautical inspired, unique octagon shaped treehouse with floor to ceiling windows in every room. The brand new downstairs addition is the perfect spot for watching the game, curling up with a good book or rolling out a yoga mat! The patio deck is perfect for meals, cocktails or birdwatching while overlooking Calibogue Sound marsh. Keep your eyes open and you will likely see the island deer wondering by each day.

Deer Island is just a few minutes walk to Harbour Town, Sea Pines Racquet Club and Harbour Town Golf Links. Each morning you can play your favorite sport, drop by the Harbour Town Bakery (newly renovated!) or stroll the Yacht basin. During the day Harbour Town is the center for all your family water activities from parasailing to paddle boarding or heading out on the sound to dolphin watch. In the evenings, you can visit one of the many restaurants and shops or climb 114 steps of the famous Harbour Town Lighthouse before the evening entertainment begins under the Liberty Oak tree.
Our Treehouse is a 15 minute bike ride to the Sea Pines Beach Club area or the South Beach marina where you can access the beautiful beaches thru dozens of walking paths throughout the entire resort area. The Sea Pines Trolley also provides a wonderful way of accessing the Beach Club and the rest of the resort. The Sea Pines Beach Club is also a 5 minute drive.
Sea Pines will become your favorite vacation destination and we know you will love your time on Hilton Head as much as we do! Security cameras - This home is equipped with an exterior camera for your protection and the security of our guests and property.

Deer Island “Tree House”

Fascinating place. Unique accommodation well decorated, supplied and comfortable. Very quiet area on the far end of Sea Pines which, as we discovered, you could spend an entire week in and be perfectly pleased. We would definitely recommend staying here

Peaceful Getaway

Upon arriving we were greeted with a couple deer standing with our luggage, so cool! It was so quiet and peaceful. Walkable to many activities. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much.

Unique Treehouse on Deer Island

I want to start by saying we really enjoyed our stay here. This unit is nothing short of amazing and made us want to look at buying property in the area, it was really that good. The unit was clean, and more than equipped for rental guests with everything you’d need at the beach (chairs, umbrella, some sea toys) and everything else you could need (towels - shampoo - etc). Having two full baths was really nice after hot days outside and having laundry available was a big plus. We also were thankful for the many split AC systems to keep the unit cool on the very hot days. We had a bit of a hiccup with checking in due to an emergency with the cleaners but the owner was helpful with alleviating some of our stress with suggestions for local hangout spots. Having bikes and parking available was also a HUGE plus. Couldn’t say enough good things. We really enjoyed our stay here and we hope to stay again.

We had visitors every morning and evening and sometimes in the afternoon! We loved it!

Great Weekend!

We had a great weekend! The tree houses on Deer Island are one of our favorite places to stay. This was one of the cleaniest and niciest ones we have stayed in. Loved all of the amenties-especially having bicycles included!

2nd Honeymoon

We returned to the Sea Pines Resort for the first time since our honeymoon 44 years ago. We could not have chosen a better place to stay. The location and setting were ideal, everything was just as described in the listing and the entire process from reservation to modification of that reservation to check-in and check-out were flawless.

Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed our stay here that gave us the feel of being close to nature while just steps away from Harbour Town. We hoped to see a few deer in the distance from the deck but actually saw several each day that came around close to the house! The house was exactly as described and seen in pictures. It was very clean and well stocked for our stay. We had a great time & are thankful to have found such a unique location!

Secluded oasis on HHI

Wonderful property with close proximity to Harbor Town and all of Sea Pines. We were pleasantly surprised with how quiet the area is given the proximity to Harbor Town. We definitely enjoyed the daily visitors (deer) as the island is named for.

Perfect home in Harbour Town!

We had an amazing week in this cozy little home within walking distance to everything we needed. This was the absolute perfect spot for what we were looking for. Great for 4 people!

We absolutely loved the location. Easy walk to Harbor Town restaurants, shops and bars. Nicely renovated and equipped. Only sticking point is there is only parking for 2 so if your group has 3+ cars, might be an issue.

Family Favorite

This was our 6th year staying in this Deer Island Treehouse! We look forward to it each year. We enjoy everything from the lush surroundings to the gorgeous views and friendly deer. The Treehouse is always pristine and welcoming. We can't wait until our next trip to Deer Island.

Sea Pines Treehouse

We greatly enjoyed our stay here. The house has been newly renovated and shows beautifully. It’s comfortable and clean and truly maximizes all the space. We loved the living space in the lower level accessible by the spiral staircase. It’s small, but a very cute and cozy living space. There is also a desk which my husband used for a bit of work each day. The house is sunny and bright and is well equipped for cooking. We used the bikes everyday. The house looks to be very well equipped with beach supplies, although we didn’t get a chance to use since it was cooler our week. It’s very quiet and peaceful here with an easy and pretty walk to Harbortown. We loved this house and would love to stay again!

50th anniversary trip

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at Sea Pines. We went there on out honeymoon and 10th anniversary. We always stay on Deer Island. This property was just perfect for us.

Loved our stay this week. Beautiful escape to the marshlands of Deer Island where we felt far removed from the hustle and bustle of Habour Town despite being a short walk from the pier. Always a pleasure on Deer Island

We wanted to share HHI with our friends from New Zealand and could think of no better base of operations than the Lofts on Deer Island. Daily encounters with the deer, and our "carefully prepared" carrots were highlights of the visit. "Anchors Away" proved to be everything we have come to expect for a loft on Deer Island; Heather is responsive, friendly and helpful when questions arise. The property is spotless and well equipped, albeit kitchens in the loft are a challenge. This property has a partial view of the Sound over the marsh, giving enjoyable sunrise and sunset experiences. Access to the loft is quite close to the parking spot (unlike some lofts that require a long trek on a boardwalk to reach the stairs). For those interested, the lower level is finished and furnished with sofa and smart TV. The beds are very comfortable; showers are excellent with good water pressure. We all very much enjoyed our stay at "Anchors Away" and reccommend it to anyone looking for an iconic HHI experience within walking distance of Harbour Town.

Anchors Away has been a family favorite for years! We absolutely LOVE the location, cleanliness, wildlife, views, and especially the provided bikes. Every inch of the house is well-designed to accommodate all of our needs. The deck is one of our favorite places to sit and enjoy the views of the marsh. Perfect Getaway

We stayed here for a little over a week in mid-March and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The tree house was a wonderful and unique experience. The location was great. Just a short walk through tropical foliage to Harbour Town. The weather was less than ideal, but the Tree house made up for it. We would definitely return. A super experience!

Cute and well appointed.

Enjoyed the stay. Very quiet. Would definitely stay again. Kitchen table could be more substantial (a little wobbly) but otherwise a great place for couples or family with older children. Note that it has a spiral staircase that may be hard to navigate for some.

We have been vacationing in Sea Pines for over twenty years and have loved it! One day on a bike ride we just happened upon Deer Island and couldn't believe these unique Sea Lofts were tucked away like a secret. Every time we visited Sea Pines we made sure to make a stop on Deer Island and dream about the day when one could be ours. We fell in love with how secluded and private Deer Island is, yet, five minutes away is the fun atmosphere of Harbour Town with all of the family activities it has to offer.
This is really a dream come true and we are excited to share it with others!
