Gorgeous Large stone villa, sea views

Nestled up in the hills just 5mins’ drive from medieval Tourrettes sur Loup, this wonderful homely villa offers breath-taking views of the sea and plenty of space for relaxation.
Comfortably accommodating 10 people (5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms), the south-facing property is in an idyllic spot. All of the bedrooms are spacious with their own ensuite bathrooms and large comfortable beds. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor so easily accessible, and the three upstairs bedrooms have beautiful sea views. All bedrooms have A/C.

Downstairs, living room and landing area are air conditioned and open onto the terraces allowing the indoors and outdoors to effortless combine. The well-equipped traditional kitchen opens onto the dining room, creating a wonderful entertaining space for dinner parties and large groups. The sitting room is spacious and comfortable with a large fireplace, flat screen TV & Hi-Fi , the beautiful conservatory has trailing vines, pizza oven and an indoor barbecue.

Outside, expansive terraces and garden furniture surround the pool so there is plenty of space to soak up the sun or enjoy a chilled glass of wine on the terraces. The large garden has a boules pitch and plenty of mature Mediterranean shrubs, flowers, and olive & palm trees.

Lovely Villa

4 adults and 1 toddler stayed in the villa the first week of September 2024. Overall it was a lovely stay! Communication with Sophie, the host, was fantastic and she was there to answer any questions we had. The house looks EXACTLY like the listing photos; we were a little worried when booking because there hadn’t been any reviews for 6 years. But it worked out great. The house could have been cleaner (the floors left our feet black and there were dirty dishes in the cabinets with food still on them), but it was clean where it mattered like the beds and that bathrooms. It’s an extremely large house with plenty of space and would be great for large groups. The view from the house is stunning. The pool was dirty when we arrived but there were storms prior to us arriving. It would have been nice to have it cleaned every 2 days during our stay. We cleaned it ourselves and used it though; so not a big deal (I’m sure if we had mentioned it to Sophie it would have been taken care of, but we didn’t so that’s on us). The town is very close by, easy to drive to. If you don’t like driving steep roads with blind curves, this whole area might not be for you, but it really isn’t that bad. I would absolutely stay here again, the house had so much charm!!

This villa is not as described and the photos are many years out of date. It has been neglected and not maintained adequately, causing several health and safety and hygiene issues. For example, some furniture was broken or missing (chairs, curtains, etc.), there were vermin seen running around inside, some kitchen items and cooking equipment were old and needed replacing. Outside, the pool alarm was not working and tiles were loose or broken, and most of the loungers were ripped or broken. Poor cleaning on arrival, dirty floors and bathrooms that we had to clean ourselves, and the oven, bbq and conservatory were completely missed, so the cleaner had to come back the next day to do these areas. Poor maintenance throughout, e.g. door handles missing or loose, causing health and safety issues. One curtain pole fell out of the wall completely, crashing to the floor. The air conditioning leaked badly, we had to use buckets to catch water and keep emptying, before this was fixed 5 days later. Also be aware this property is set on a steep hill and roads to access this are not ideal for bigger cars or inexperienced drivers.The views however were amazing, the best part.With proper care and maintenance, this would have been a lovely property to stay in.Pure Azure did not respond to all of our requests in a timely manner, or in some cases not at all, as they were not able to speak to the owners.Sadly, this was very disappointing, avoid until appropriate action has been taken.

belles vacances en famille dans un environnement calme et reposant

Maison vaste et agréable, très bien aménagée avec ce qu'il faut dans la cuisine pour 10 personnes. Grand frigo très pratique. Environnement très calme. La grande piscine à l'eau légèrement salée est un vrai plus et nous y avons passé beaucoup de temps. Il manque des parasols (plusieurs étaient en mauvais état) pour protéger efficacement la terrasse et la piscine du soleil. Magnifique vue du balcon du 1er étage... pas de depuis la terrasse, dommage ! Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances reposantes et le village de Tourette est très accueillant.

Beautiful view, comfortable house, very responsive staff

A group of 7 adult friends stayed at this beautiful location in April 2017. The bedrooms were very nicely furnished, each with their own bath, and the common areas in the house were also quite comfortable. A spectacular view towards the coast. It was too cool to use the pool, but the terrace area offered nice seating space. Pure Azur staff responded very quickly to any questions we had and took care of requests without a problem. We thoroughly enjoyed the house and the service. As mentioned by other reviewers, however, some of the outside furniture has seen better days. There were a few malfunctions, such as a non-working refrigerator and a gate remote control which didn't work properly, later taken care of by staff.

Excellent location with fantastic views.

Positives - spacious villa, large pool with stunning views. Well equipped. Tourettes is a beautiful town, quite a steep walk back though ! Would recommend Clovis restaurant and La Cave. Gourdon is another stunning village to visit. Negatives - some of outdoor furniture broken and shabby as is crockery. The shower in main bathroom leaked badly, BBQ not cleaned and no proper pool towels as listed in house inventory. There is a table tennis table but no bats and balls. Pur Azur staff were very helpful and welcoming .

Great house

The house was amazing. All the bathrooms were fresh. The surroundings is beautiful. The only thing that was a little bit disturbing was that almost every parasol was broken. The contact and service from Pure Azur was great. The village was very nice and pittoresk. It was a great stay. /Malin with family from Sweden

A stunning location with a large comfortable house

This property has breath-taking views down to Nice and the sea from the large terrace and around the pool. The house is large and for the most part well equipped. It was ideal for 10 adults as all the bedrooms have their own en suites and I am sure it would be great for two families as well. The house was generally clean and tidy but some parts felt a little tired and could have done with some attention. Outside the very large (and very deep) salt water pool is perfect for those wanting to cool off and walk in the shallows or those of a more athletic nature wanting to get some lengths in before breakfast. As 10 adults we were slightly disappointed by there being only 6 sun loungers but we were the first group of this size to visit and I understand the Owner has taken this on advisement for the future. Overall we can't fault the week; it was a great place to unwind and relax, we just felt that some of the finer details had been overlooked.
