Perfect for a large multi-family vacation or just a quiet get-away for two. Come stay at the Ocean Breeze, a 5-bedroom (including 2 master bedroom suites), 4-full bathroom beach house. Our home sleeps 13. It is 2 short blocks to Cape May's beautiful beach and ocean. Park your car and forget it. Ideal central location, in close walking proximity to all of Cape May's splendorous offerings. The Ocean Breeze is a 3-story modern Victorian home, located within the renowned national historic landmark district of Cape May, NJ, a short 5–10-minute walk to the Washington Street Mall, the center-of-town with shops and restaurants.
Each of the 2 Master bedroom suites has a private bath and sitting area. There is 1 KING bed and 5 QUEEN beds within the 5 bedrooms. In addition, there is one TWIN SOFA BED in the first-floor office with pocket doors that close for privacy. There are 4 full bathrooms: one on the first floor, two on the second floor and one on the third floor. Every bedroom has an HDTV.
The Ocean Breeze has two zone central air/heat and two gas fireplaces, one in the family room and the other in the second-floor master suite. There are big screen HDTVs in the family room and in the 2nd floor master suite. The large dining room seats 14 very comfortably. The spacious gourmet kitchen contains a breakfast nook that seats 8 people. Enjoy a cookout on the outdoor gas grill within the furnished outdoor patio. For those times when work calls, we have whole-home high-speed WiFi and LAN internet access throughout the house and an office with a large desk, a monitor, and pocket doors to close for privacy.
There are lots of places for relaxation, conversation and reading on our furnished open front porch and two furnished rear screened-in porches. The family room has room for family gatherings with two large sectional sofas, a love seat, and a recliner/rocker chair. Enjoy our extensive library of fiction, non-fiction, art, food, travel, and children’s books, as well as many great movie DVDs.
The kitchen is a chef's delight. Efficiently laid out with lots of granite counter tops, drawer space and overhead 42-inch cabinets. It has a long center island with an extra mini-sink and generous counter space for food preparation and serving. The Viking stove top has a pot filler faucet to fill the lobster pot and an exhaust vent. The double main sink has a garbage disposal. We have a side-by-side refrigerator and a built-in mini beverage/wine cooler fridge. It also has a wall oven, microwave, warming drawer, Bosch dishwasher, toaster oven and 2 coffee makers (drip Mr. Coffee type w/ basket filters and Keurig type). We are fully stocked for all that you need for preparation and serving. Plus, there's a granite counter snack surface for two which is open into the kitchen from the dining room.
Our home has a dedicated laundry room with a large high-efficiency front loading washer and dryer, sink, laundry basket, and drying rack for drying your delicate clothes. We have plenty of closet space with multiple walk-in closets. We also have a large crawl space under the house for bikes, boogey-boards, kayaks, and surfboard storage.
We have an outside hot and cold-water shower for when you return from a day at the beach. Our long paver driveway provides off street parking for 4 cars. Park your car and forget about it for the rest of your trip because just about everything is within walking distance. A complimentary ChargePoint Home Flex Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger is located on the driveway.
Linens (sheets, bath towels, and beach towels) are brought by the guests. Linens are not provided by the owners. Guests not wishing to bring linens can arrange for linen rental through one of the local rental companies. Beach chairs and umbrellas can be rented from the linen service or rented on the beach. Beach tags may be purchased on the promenade.
Cleaning Fee Notice:
A $350 cleaning fee applies to each stay. This fee is automatically included in the total cost shown by VRBO before you confirm your booking.
The cleaning fee covers the cost of a full professional cleaning after your departure. The home is thoroughly and professionally cleaned prior to each guest’s arrival to ensure a comfortable and welcoming stay.
Security Damage Protection:
If damage to the property or its contents is reported after checkout and a claim is submitted through VRBO, VRBO may charge the guest’s payment method for the cost of repair or replacement, up to $2,000.
Flexible pandemic policy: In the event of a Pandemic or other catastrophic event such that a municipal, county, state or federal executive order, resolution, proclamation, statute, regulation or other directive prohibits the owner and/or owner's parties from giving possession of the property to the tenant at the time the rental term commences, the tenant may reschedule their vacation to another timeframe, mutually agreed to by tenant and owner, or receive a credit for the amount of funds paid to the owner, to-date. This credit may be applied to a future timeframe that is mutually agreed to by owner and tenant.
