Welcome to Las Dunas Fort Morgan!
Your ideal destination for a memorable vacation! Whether you are looking for a relaxing getaway or an adventurous escape, you will find everything you need at our cozy and spacious house. Our house is part of the Rookery complex, a natural and quiet resort surrounded by nature and near the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge.
This is a place where you can enjoy the beauty and diversity of the Alabama Gulf Coast, with its stunning beaches, bays, forts, and golf courses. You can swim in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, fish in the bay, explore the historic Fort Morgan, or play golf at the nearby Kiva Dunes or Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club.
You can also relax at our house, which has everything you need for a comfortable stay, such as a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a TV and DVD player, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a screened porch. You can also access the amenities of the Rookery complex, such as two outdoor pools, a hot tub, a tennis court, and a barbecue area. Our house is perfect for families who want to have fun, enjoy nature, and create lasting memories. Our condo has everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay:
• 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a screened-in porch, and a patio area outside.
• A king-size bed in the master bedroom and queen size bed in the second bedroom, 2 sets of bunk beds (one with a double-size bed) in the third bedroom.
• Wi-Fi and wired internet included!
• Pack and play available upon request
• Trailer and overflow parking available near the pool area
As our guests, you can also enjoy the amazing amenities of the Rookery complex:
• A beautiful and large resort-style zero-entry pool with a tiki bar and a hot tub
• Another pool near the entrance of the complex
• A tennis court and a picnic area with a couple of charcoal grills near the pool
• A bathroom and shower access near the main pool area
• A heated main pool from March 1 through October
The public beach access is just a short distance from the Rookery, about half a mile. Turn right leaving the Rookery, go half a block and turn left on Cortez. The beach is straight ahead. The total distance is about equivalent to three city blocks.
There are also many attractions nearby that you can visit:
• A marina, a boat dock, and restaurants
• Nature trails for walking and hiking, as well as a bike path
• The fort at Fort Morgan, a great tourist attraction that’s well worth a visit
• Two top-rated golf courses within a few miles: Kiva Dunes and The Peninsula, and several more within driving range

We had a wonderful time! Rental was clean, spacious, host was responsive. Kitchen fully stocked with what we needed to make meals! Location in the Rookery is ideal we loved being able to walk to hot tub every evening to relax!

5 STARS FOR THE CONDO. The condo was clean, spacious and had comfortable sleeping and lounge space. The patio sofa made sitting on the front porch nice and relaxing in the morning. The two sofas in the living room were great for lounging and watching movies after a long day at the beach. Once the rest of our group came, seating was tight. A loveseat/sofa in place of the two chairs would've been perfect. The bunk room for the kids was perfect and a deciding factor for choosing this particular property. The tennis courts and pool are right behind the property and a short walk which is another big plus. We really can't emphasize enough how nice the condo is.1 STAR FOR THE PARKING. The Rookery I & II DO NOT have designated parking. The Rookery III does. This would eliminate the parking issues. Guest from other condos parked right in front of our condo, blocking the walkway. They parked at angle, taking up two spots instead of one, forcing us to park in the guest area or do the same and park in another condo's area. We had to trek across the parking lot to load and unload luggage, ice chest and groceries. 2 STARS FOR THE BEACH. Parking at the beach is almost nonexistent. GOLF CARTS ARE A MUST or just walk from the Rookery. Good luck parking if you have a full size truck. We were all very disappointed with the beach. It was very crowded and hard to find a spot not on top of other people. The trash from PEOPLE was disgusting. I even saw a used tampon applicator!

We loved the house there was 9 of us in the house and it never felt like we were on top of eachother. The kids loved the bunk beds and the pool the most! Very clean!

Pretty house

This is our 2nd year in a row staying at this pretty home. We loved it. Such a relaxing place. The host are so helpful and fast to answer any questions you might have. Definitely will stay again.

Beautiful Beach Condo

This condo was perfect for our family! It was so nicely decorated and clean! Wonderful location with everything you could possibly need! We spent most of our time at the pool and hot tub! We really enjoyed every minute of our stay!

Great little get away

Great Family Vacation

The place was perfect for our family. There was plenty of room for four adults and four kids. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook most of our meals for 7 days. The property was great. The tennis courts and pool were close and we could walk. Additionally, the pool was never crowded when we were there. We rented the golf cart for the week and it was perfect. We went to the beach almost every day and thankful we had the golf cart. It was close, but would have been difficult carry all of our stuff. The beach access was perfect. We found a spot every day and it was never crowded. I enjoyed how we were away from the busyness of Gulf Shore and Orange Beach, but close enough to enjoy the attractions and restaurants.

Perfect Place for our Family

We had 5 adults and 2 teens and we fit very comfortably and could have brought a couple more people. The space is open and great for hanging out together! Super close to the pool, hot tub, and the beach access is only minutes away! We rented the owner’s golf cart and used it to travel back and forth to the beach! Less sand in our vehicles was a plus! We absolutely love Fort Morgan, it’s away from the hustle and bustle of Orange Beach but close enough to go in for some shopping, eating, or a dolphin tour! Love our trip! Owners went above and beyond! Kitchen was well stocked!

Nice place away from the crowds

The condo was in great condition and very clean when we arrived. It is about 15 miles from the strip in Gulf Shores, but there are several convenience stores nearby for anything you might need. The pools are nice and close by to spend the day, or the beach is just a short drive. We visited Fort Morgan and the Marina one day which are both a short drive away. The hosts were terrific and were very prompt in answering our messages. As others have stated, the Internet/wifi is slow, but it's good enough. Who goes on vacation to play on the internet anyway? Lol Highly recommended!

This was a last minute trip and it turned out perfect! Matt and Flavia were amazing and so accommodating. The location was perfect. This was our first time to use public beach access and it was so easy! Will definitely stay here again!

Great house!

This house was perfect!! Definitely will stay again. They have a golf cart you can rent. It's close to the pool. And an added bonus was the extra window units to keep the house nice and cool. The owners will respond quickly with any questions you have.

Nice Place

We enjoyed our stay at the Rookery. We are purchasing one of the units there and stayed here while we were looking at which one to make an offer on. The owners were very accommodating. We look forward to many years of memories at The Rookery.

Peace and quiet

We stayed at this property for the whole month of February 2022. Coming from Minnesota, warm weather was our number one objective. In short, for the four of us, this property was a perfect location. 5 minutes to the beach, the neighbors were friendly and quiet. The unit itself had everything we needed. Very clean and parking was right outside the building. The owners were very responsive and friendly. the Weather we had couldn't of been much better and the Fort Morgan site was only a 5 mile drive away. We were sad to leave.

My family and I came to Gulf Shores on vacation and fell in love with the area; a year later we bought our condo in the Fort Morgan area. After vacationing in the Fort Morgan area a couple of times a year, we decided to make it a permanent vacation.
We are currently living in Gulf Shores!! We have a house close to school and decided to share our little piece of paradise by the beach with other beach and nature lovers :)

This property offers plenty of entertainment for the family. We have 2 beautiful pools to swim and relax after spending the day at the beach, golfing, hiking or exploring the area. The complex located near the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, so its surrounded by nature.
We are located a short distance to the beach, about 2,5 blocks away. The bay is not far away either.
Within the complex you'll find a tennis court, which is right behind the house and right by the pool.
