Easy check-in process and property was clean with all the kitchen items needed. Always great to have a washer and dryer available when on a vacation. Great place to stay.

Excellent for family

We had a wonderful stay. This cottage is in a quiet section of the compound and right around the corner from the pool. We were super close to the beach as well. The cottage was comfortable and spacious for my family of 5. The owner was super communicative and helpful throughout the booking, stay and check out process.

Our family loved this property and the area. The home was perfect and we loved the thoughtfulness of having beach chairs and an umbrella along with floats there for our use. We would definitely want to stay here again !!

We loved this house! Such a great set up, very clean, and super responsive host. The only thing we missed was a place to rinse off sand outside. There is a small hose, but it doesn’t reach the decking so our kids had a hard time staying clean. That was such a minor issue though, we really loved it!!

Our sixth visit to the Rookery, first at Comfort Cove. David was great to work with! Communication was good, house is clean and comfortable. This is our favorite getaway place. Highly recommend!

The host of this property was very responsive during the booking process and during our stay. They addressed anything that came up in a satisfactory manner. The house was in great shape and was a great fit for my family. Parking was very close to the house we rented. The house was large enough to accomodate my family of 6. The on-site pool was also great. My family and I really enjoyed our stay there.

Great stay

Overall the place was nicely decorated, clean, and welcoming. They even provided beach chairs, inflatables, and buckets for the sand. They also had games that we played on rainy days. The community grills and pool location was very handy. We enjoyed walking down to the beach every morning before it got too busy. We also loved sitting in the screened in porch while it rained. Great stay overall.

Quiet and Cozy

We absolutely loved this cottage! We've stayed at the Rookery before, but the location of this cottage felt very private and was unbelievably quiet and relaxing. Check-in was very easy and the owners reached out to us the evening of our stay and again the next day to make sure we were comfortable. Owners also gave some very useful info prior to our arrival that made our first night that much easier. We can't wait to go back b/c it honestly felt like home for my family...we will absolutely book this cottage again in the future!

Almost too hard to leave

Great cottage within a short 1/2 mile walk to the beach. We have a family of 6 and made the walk easily every day, sometimes twice. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out, especially the dual bunk beds were a great touch. The cottage is toward the back of the Rookery so there wasn’t any traffic passing, it was very quiet.

Enjoyable getaway

The cottage was as advertised. Stayed in the same community last year. Enjoyed the stay more this year in this property than the other one last year. Clean, comfortable and affordable. Perfect quiet stay. Good sized pool. Close to anything you would want to do while visiting. Well worth the money. Places like "Comfort Cove" make vacations possible again in today's time. Great host.

Fall break family trip

My family of six traveled to Fort Morgan with my in-laws (total of 8) over fall break. The property was well-maintained and had everything we needed. David was kind and easy to work with. The unit has everything you need, but the appliances are a bit dated. Still, everything worked and we had a great trip.

Nice quiet location, easy to get to the beach by mile walk or easy drive. Hot tub/pool were nice for the evening. House was fine and bigger than it looked from the pictures. Could use some updating here and there as a few things are getting worn. Could also use a deep cleaning. Overall it was good and I’d go back.

Good for what we needed

The property is cute and in a quiet area. It meet our needs. The pool was open but under pretty significant renovation so we didn't use it. The unit is worn in several areas and could use some updating. The cleaners weren't at their best during our stay as there were crumbs on the kitchen floor and something sticky all over the garbage can lid. There was also something crawling around above the main bathroom vent every night. Not sure what it was, but it kept my daughter up and frightened her. The check out instructions ask you to start the dishwasher and run the laundry, but there isn't any cleaner provided. This worried us and made us wonder how many people who weren't aware and stayed a short time like us, just ran it without detergent. The checkout instructions need to be provided sooner so we aren't running out last minute or cleaner needs to be provided. As I said, it was a place to sleep at night after sightseeing and the neighborhood was cute. It could use some improvement.

Adorable Ft. Walton cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed this property. Great layout, privacy and convenient location. Loved the quiet, peaceful surroundings. Close enough to town(20 minutes) and so very close to the beautiful beach. Owner was amazing.

Great Location. Perfect for families with small children. Very peaceful.

Everything was great except that we were unaware that we would be staying in a duplex. No problem since no one was staying in the other half. Also there were pool rules posted but no one was following them. Lots of alcohol and smoking around our young kids. Great location and host was fantastic !

Fun weekend getaway

We had a great time staying at Comfort Cove! It was cute and it was the perfect space for our 2 families staying there. The boys especially loved the bunk room! The pool was nearby, plus we rented a golf cart to drive to the beach. There were some issues with the AC, but the owner sent someone to check it out right away and offered to deliver us popsicles and ice cream to cool us off! We enjoyed ourselves!
