This spacious and comfortable apartment is situated in the beautiful Monte Dourado complex, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. With its excellent location and amenities, it provides the perfect base for exploring Carvoeiro and the surrounding area. The apartment is a 5 minute walk to crystal clear waters of Carvoeiro Beach, and array of shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars, offering a vibrant and lively atmosphere.

As a guest at Monte Dourado, you'll have access to various amenities. The complex boasts tennis courts, and several swimming pools, including a heated one for year-round enjoyment. Whether you want to cool off during the hot summer days or stay active with a game of tennis, you'll have everything you need within reach.

We absolutely loved this apartment, Carvoeiro is a great place to stay as a family and very close to the famous caves which is also well worth a visit. The apartment was great with a choice of pools and free parking too which is a great help.

This was a very convenient location, just up the hill from the core of the beachside town. The pool is a nice place to relax as well but we really enjoyed the beach! Overall we would visit and stay at this location again in a heartbeat.

A lovely spacious apartment that we felt very comfortable in. Clean and well equipped. The area was well maintained and felt very safe. A few minutes walk into the town albeit very steep and loads of quite tight steps to the apartments. I would gladly stay here again.

Perfect place to stay while in Carvoeiro!

The location of this place is the best! Very beautifully decorated, modern, comfortable, spacious place. Balcony is very nice to enjoy a meal or just relax on. Just up the hill from Carvoeiro Beach and the amazing boardwalk and cliffs/caves. Close to 3 grocery stores by car. Host Kate was great to communicate with & saw to our needs. Highly recommend!

The accommodation completely lived up to our expectations. All required facilities were available and all areas were clean and well-presented. We particularly liked the fact that we could access Netflix and the air-conditioning made it very comfortable. Also, the apartment is located just a few minutes walk from the centre of Carvoeiro with a great choice of shops and restaurants.

We stayed at Katharine`s place for nine days and had a wonderful time. The apartment was clean and tidy and had everything we required for our stay. The location is excellent. Quiet, but within walking distance of the beach and town centre with all its attractions. Katharine was a fantastic host, approachable and responsive but also discreet. Any queries are quickly answered and problems quickly resolved. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to visit Carvoeiro.

Great location, just a few steps away from the main strip of shops and restaurants and 10min from the beach. Easy to access with kids (there is a steep walk up to the apartment, but the region is hilly so this is the case everywhere). Katharine was responsive and accommodated all of our requests. Nice and comfortable apartment to explore Carvoeiro and neighboring beaches.

Lovely spacious apartment. Very close to Carvoeiro beach. Lots of bars, shops and restaurants within walking distance so it’s in a great location and it’s quiet at night. The flat has a nice balcony and there is a swimming pool. We received clear check in instructions with pictures which was very helpful. I would recommend this apartment if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Carvoeiro.

The apartment was great and looked just like the photos. Very spacious. The view from the patio was beautiful. It was close to everything (up a steep hill) and the pool was easy accessible. Be advised that the host doesn’t supply any kitchen basics (coffee, seasonings, olive oil, etc) so you must bring/buy your own and there are 3 flights of stairs (the last one very steep) up to the apartment.

New Year Break

The apartment was spacious enough for 2 couples. The location is great, as long as your ok with the hill and steps. Beds nice and comfy. I booked the apartment on the fact that it had a open fire/log burner, as we were going in Dec/Jan I knew it would be cold. However when we arrived there were no tools or log basket, I enquired at reception and after some deliberation and chats with other reception staff.... I was told that the fire was out of service. I feel that this should have been brought to my attention when booking. Disappointing.

I am so sorry about the fire, for safety reasons we do not allow the use which is why it is not listed on the amenities. I am leased to hear you enjoyed your stay and found the beds comfortable!

The property was not clean. There was long black hairs in the showers and the fridge was dirty. The property is really showing its age as the walls need new paint, the floors are worn and the shower tile has mold. 2 chairs in the dinning room were broken and the light in the kitchen did not work. Also, there was small bugs in the front bathroom area.

Höhen und Tiefen

Die Lage, in Carvoreio ist alles fußläufig gut erreichbar. Der organisierte Fahrservice war top. Die Sauberkeit im Außenbereich, gerade auch am Pool und auf dem Balkon sind ausbaufähig. Das Wasser im Pool machte an manchen Tagen einen schlechten Eindruck, so dass wir nicht schwimmen konnten. Die Wohnung ist ansonsten wie beschrieben, leider ist das Besteck kaum zu gebrauchen, das große Bett hat kein Lattenrost nur Holzplatten. In dem Raum war auch ein unangenehmer Geruch wahrzunehmen. Carvoeiro ist leider mittlerweile kein kleiner Fischerort mehr. Es ist laut und sehr voll, den Strand haben wir auch nicht mehr dort aufgesucht, zu voll. Am Pool wurden morgens alle Liegen reserviert, die Leute kamen dann gegen 13 Uhr oft nach dem Shoppen. Zum Glück schien sich das Problem aber nach Abreise einer Gruppe erledigt zu haben. Insgesamt war es okay, aber für uns nicht das passende. Wir fahren lieber wieder zu anderen Orten.
