Escape from the daily stresses of life to this tranquil beach cottage.

This newly appointed two bedroom, two bathroom home is a 2 minute walk to the incredible breathtaking Tropic of Cancer Beach - two miles of pure white sand and turquoise glistening waters. A sight to behold! A wrap around deck offers comfortable seating at any time of day. The outside living space shares a panoramic view of the beach, incredible sunrises and unbelievable sunsets. Space for a rental car and outside shower are small amenities to add to the comfort of your stay.

Spacious and uncluttered, the house easily welcomes parties of 6. The kitchen readily accommodates the cooking of daily meals with a full sized fridge and purified water cooler . The living and dining areas are surrounded by patio doors so island breezes can cool the interior beautifully. Air conditioners are located in the living area and bedrooms. Both bedrooms are designed with 2 sets of patio doors, allowing for unique breezes and amazing views. An on site complimentary washer and dryer are available. Linens and towels are provided along with all cooking and dining necessities.

Television and WiFi service are offered.

Much care has been taken to create a pleasing "home away from home." All you need to relax and enjoy in this cozy island home on one of the most pristine beaches in the Caribbean.
Indoor smoking and pets are not allowed.

Everything went very smoothly, Lovely house and a great place to relax. Kitchen had lots of new equipment and we could keep cool and keep the bugs out. The kayaks were great and our stay went far too quickly. Very helpful host.

Cutest Cottage

This was the cutest little cottage in the most beautiful part of the island. I was clean and perfect for a family vacation to Exuma. Owners were so easy to communicate with and answered my message every time immediately. We would definitely book this place again

Awesome location!

Comfortable and cozy, with incredible views. Close to Tropic of Cancer Beach, kayaks available. Loved it, would come back again in a heartbeat. Plan to!

Perfect place for quick getaway.

Had a great trip to the Idland. House is a 2 br and the interior has been updated. Exterior needs some attention but was perfect foe the 4 days I was there.

Beautiful beach

Thank you for allowing us to use your home last week. We enjoyed our first trip to Exuma and it won’t be our last. Great response to any questions we may have had during are time of visit. Great space for the 4 of us

Great location and quiet place

The house proposed by Jacquie and Sandra is beautiful, equiped with everything's needed, confortable beds, etc... and perfectly located. Very near to the amazing Tropic of Cancer Beach with the great sound of the Nature. The owners were also very reactive and helpful. We thank them for everything and definitely recommend this rental.

The property is really nice with a lot of sliding doors and natural light….had great beach chairs and kayaks that were awesome!… would highly recommend staying and enjoying the best beach on planet Tropic of Cancer Beach!!

Peaceful & Clean Home

We loved our stay at Tranquility Hut and absolutely fell in love with Tropic of Cancer Beach, it truly is the best beach in the area. The home was spotless and larger than we expected. Based on the description we had assumed the house would be a little closer to the beach, but it was still a very short walk. Overall a wonderful, restful stay and we would recommend it to anyone.

Stay at tranquility

Our stay at tranquility was wonderful. The house was located very close to the beach. There were ample towels and bedding. It was was a short walk to a beautiful beach on the tropics of cancer. There Was no sponge.

Perfect get away

Tranquility is a perfect get away from the busy work life. My wife and I really loved the outdoor space around the house and the breeze in the evening. We used the kayaks to get out to the islands off the beach. This house has everything you need to escape from life for a few days!

Fantastic

We spent a week at the aptly named Tranquility beach house, and it was fantastic.Excellent access to a wonderful white sandy beach with turquoise water so pure and clear that you can't stay out of it!The beach house has everything you need. It's very clean and well stocked with kitchen necessities, which is important because this is not a Caribbean location that offers many restaurant options. There were kayaks and floaties which the kids enjoyed.It is an amazingly peaceful and relaxing place with a true Caribbean vibe.The host is a very good communicator and quite flexible. A very positive check-in & out experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

Nice home with most amenities

It’s close to the Tropic of Cancer Beach, but from what I can tell you have to drive aways to find snorkelling, if that’s of interest. There are two restaurants nearby. We tried Santanna’s and it was quite good. Very quiet!

Tranqulity is stunning, beautifully designed and decorated. The view from each side of the wrap around deck is unique and breathtaking. We felt cosy and safe but also immersed in nature. But please bring bug spray. Do your research on no-see-ums. Lovely 3 minute walk to the Tropic of Cancer Beach access.

Wonderful house off the beaten path

A lovely two minute walk from Tropic of Cancer beach, this house is perfect for anyone who wants a quieter vacation away from some of the more bustling parts of Great Exuma. While it's a bit far to get to some amenities (probably a 30 minute drive to get to some of the convenience stores/groceries), the trade off is that you get to walk to one of the best and quietest beaches on the island. Jacquie and Sandra were super communicative and helpful when we needed them as well. Would highly recommend!

Great stay over Memorial Day weekend

Our group of 3 stayed at the Tranquility house for 5 nights. Overall, a great house close to Tropic of Cancer beach. There’s a little beach bar shack at the beach (Brea’s) that’s open starting around 11 am. We packed lunches and brought our bags to the beach each day with little trouble. The beach and water is incredible. Very quiet and a great place to relax. The house fit us perfectly. I would say 6 ppl max if you want to be comfy. Has the basics for cooking. Plenty of beach towels. Two good beach chairs. Could really benefit from a beach umbrella. The location is a good 35-45 mins from town and not a lot nearby so you’ll need to provision in town. Def will need a rental car. The host was very responsive to our questions. Check-in was easy. We lost electricity one night for 4-5 hrs which was a bummer but we were fine. Would def stay again!

House close to the best beach in Exuma

The house was located just a couple of minutes walk away from the most beautiful beach in Exuma. We really enjoyed all of the balconies and close proximity to the beach. The owners were very responsive with any issue we encountered. The house has pretty much everything you need. It is located on a quiet side of the island so expect to drive 30 minutes each way to get to the closest grocery store and gas station. The road going to the house isn't the best (pretty bumpy) but you're only on it for a few minutes before reaching the main road. Outside of this, everything was great!

Cute house, amazing location, but needs deep cleaned

This house was in an amazing location. Just a couple minutes walk from the entrance to Tropic of Cancer beach and Brea's snack shack (try the conch fritters and get some frozen drinks!). The bedding was great, and there were plentiful good quality beach towels. The layout and floor to ceiling windows made it feel amazing! Being able to do laundry was awesome. However, the most important thing to me is cleanliness and based on prior reviews I thought it would be clean. Unfortunately, I think attention to detail has been neglected and it is in need of a good deep clean, so that made it hard to relax. There were lots of cobwebs with spiders and there were roaches in the kitchen cabinets. No dishwasher and with the roaches you'll want to wash all your dishes before you use them anyway. The cabinets need a scrub both inside and out. You also can't open the sliding doors and windows for the breeze because noseeums can get through the screens, so that was a bummer, but the AC was great. With a good deep clean and some pest control I would absolutely stay here again, but until those two things are addressed I wouldn't recommend it.

I have received many compliments on the cleanliness of the cottage and wish you had called so that I could have addressed the issue with my cleaning lady and sent her in to do more cleaning. Great house and great beach, but big biting bugs problem.

We wish the house listing or the communication with the owner/ manager would at least mention that this is an issue, so we can be aware and protect against it. Instead, the information sheet indicated that "if you open the sliding glass doors and leave the screens closed there is a great cross breeze". Which is what we did after we arrived, and great breeze indeed, but "almost invisible" bugs (no-see ums) got in the house through the screen mesh and ate us alive, daytime and nighttime. We didn't even know what's happening to us until on a fourth day we met a neighbor and heard for the first time of the existence of these bugs. Needless to say, the first night was the only one of good sleep, the others were marred by constant itching and biting, and we all returned home with arms and legs full of little red bites. Other than that, the owner is very prompt, the house is beautifully decorated and spacious, and the Tropic of Cancer beach is great. The road from Georgetown to Little Exuma is not perfect, but it's manageable. The portion from the Queen's Highway to the house though is in really bad shape, and it's not even paved. The good part is that it is short, maybe 2 minutes. You can make it with a sedan, but an SUV would make it easier. All in all, we had a good time, but the no-see ums really took the shine out of our joy.
