I’m a premier host here and super host on another platform. I understand this system. This is to help others avoid a terrible experience.We arrived to find the home wasn’t in livable condition: no running water at check-in, no hot water, and an ongoing pest problem (spiders and ants throughout the bathroom and bedroom areas, including near the shower/toilet and around the bed). The hot tub was also not usable—dirty (sand/debris), surrounded by spiders, and only about 70F.The biggest issue was the host. We messaged repeatedly through the platform and received zero responses. Not “slow” or “poor” communication—no communication at all. With basic utilities out and pests inside the home, we had no workable path to get anything fixed.Location was also misrepresented by the overall impression of the listing. This is not beachfront. It’s in a strange area, tucked behind a large shed and next to a mosquito-infested lake, which made the setting feel uncomfortable and not as expected.We left after 1 night of a 7-night stay because the conditions were not what was promised and there was no host support.Then came the worst part: after we left, the host misrepresented the situation to support, implying the problems weren’t real and shifting blame onto us. We documented the issues and reached out repeatedly. There was simply no way to stay seven nights like this.
