Thank you so much for staying with us, please come back soon!

Thank you for the nice review. We have begun telling people to avoid using google. Waze seems to be much more reliable out here.

Thanks, Jeff! We’d love to have you back again. I know the parking is really tight.

Thank you for choosing our place! It was lovely to host you and we’d love to have you back anytime! Terrible sorry about the lackluster cleaning job that you arrived to. We can do better 💕

Jeff, I'm so sorry that the sun woke you up, thought we'd be thrilled to have you back anytime!

Thank you so much for staying with us, we hope to see you again next year! ♥️

Firstly, you absolutely left damage and you know it. Playing dumb about it and writing a negative review doesn't make that go away. We have blocked out the property for a few days so that we can have the massive door scratches from your dogs fixed before our next guests arrive. You're lucky that you selected insurance, good grief. Secondly, in spite of your message after the first night at the property, (which I will paste, verbatim) ... “Good morning. So far everything is great!“…you quickly turned into the same exhausting person that we experienced in your incessant messages leading up to the stay. Start to finish, you were absurd to deal with. I just counted my texts and emails from you and over the last 4 months, there were 216 of them, each of them responded to immediately. Two hundred and sixteen messages! Lord, how I wish that was an exaggeration. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Changing properties / cancelling / on again / off again / needing certain bakeware / insisting that you shouldn't have to deal with stairs (which are obviously in the pics) / demanding that we call VRBO on your behalf / insisting that we should have left an axe for you to chop your own wood / being upset about the weather / locking yourself out mid-stay and freaking out, thinking we’d locked you out and then discovering you were using the wrong code / having us call local stores to find you things that you forgot. Your demands were way over the top and frankly you could use some basic manners. In 9 years of hosting guests, we’ve never experienced anyone like you and with a little luck, we never will again. By the time you checked out, we were left questioning if it was worth it to continue hosting. I’m certain that no one has ever worked so hard to accommodate your nuttiness.

Thank you so much for staying with us! ♥️

Hello Terence! Thank you for all of your feedback. We would love to have you back. Please review the below response and then let us know when you'd like to return. Also please check your inbox. : ) The spa is up and running. The dog-hair has been removed in detail. The potholes have been filled. The hot-water tank has been tested and pushed to it's max and it's working well, now. Come back!

Hello “Gary and Peggy” who never even set foot in the property… You claim the listing didn’t show stairs, yet in over a decade of renting, this has never once come up because both photos and descriptions clearly show two sets of stairs. And the bedrooms are listed as being UPSTAIRS. The stairs only became an issue because you transferred the reservation to an elderly family member without authorization, after holding the property for a full year. The guests who arrived weren’t even on the reservation, which is a clear violation of the rental agreement. We tried to be accommodating, and that was clearly a mistake. Your reservation should have been cancelled for that. You also selected your own payment terms at booking, and VRBO — not the owner — processes all payments. Blaming us for your inability to navigate the app is nonsense.

Michael, you and the family were a joy to host! We can't wait to have you all back again.

I’ve thought about how to respond to this for over a month. Firstly, I absolutely blew it with your arrival and not having the place ready for you. Completely my bad and I was mortified that I dropped a ball so badly. Thank you for allowing me to make that right with you by allowing my to refund your cleaning deposit. As for the rest of your review... “The property description says that the house will sleep 15” Yep. And all the details of this breakdown are listed. In fact, we’ve even had 18 sleep here, comfortably. The couches that you cant imagine fitting people on actually only hold 6. They’re high end queen sleepers and there are another two spots on the air mattress. “The house wasn't stocked well, which was especially disappointing considering that the closest grocery store was not all that close.” The review of the guests before you as well as the review of the guests who stated directly after you both literally said “this is the best stocked rental we’ve ever seen”. “Dish soap?“ Yes, there was plenty of it. Perhaps you’re not familiar with pods. “Paper towels” True story. Due to the pandemic, we were unable to get them for you and we talked about this ahead of time. There were most assuredly plenty of napkins, which you used and had plenty left over. “Laundry detergent” Again, perhaps you aren’t familiar with pods but there were plenty there. “Salt but no pepper” False. And in addition, garlic powder, lemon pepper and 12 other spices. “There were empty containers of cooking spray and oil in the cupboards.” You we’re looking in the owners pantry which is off limits and was also discussed ahead of time. “There were so few dishes and glasses that we needed to run the dishwasher after every meal so that we would have enough to use at our next meal. We ended up having to go to to grocery store to get what we needed.” Sister, I don’t know what cupboards you we’re looking in but cabin has full dining service for 16. And I wish that you had reached out to me, I’d have been happy to help you find them. 🤦🏻‍♀️ “The barbecue was a Traeger which required pellets and only got up to about 275F at its hottest. We had to abandon our plans to barbecue the first night we arrived when, after 20 minutes on the grill, our burgers were still raw.” I tried to recreate this issue and could not. The Traeger is working perfectly. I wonder if you missed the instructions of how to use it, that was in the book, too.
