Favoriten, Vienna’s 10th district, is located in the southern part of the city and takes its name from the former Favorita hunting castle. Vienna’s central station and business district “Hauptbahnhof” is located in this district. It hosts a variety of Vienna’s largest companies and provides the city's best transportation infrastructure (within Vienna as well as quick direct airport access and best international train connections). The lovely Favoritenstraße, lined with cafes, restaurants, and shops, is one of Vienna's pedestrian zones and serves as the district's main artery. Another neighborhood highlight is the open air Viktor-Adler Markt, which has an abundance of fresh produce as well as stalls selling a variety of clothing, housewares, and specialty items.
