The place was excellent. Very clean and comfortable. The host was very good at checking in to make sure everything was good and responded very quickly when we needed something.

Wonderful stay

This location was close to wonderful restaurants, grocery stores and shopping and a quick trip from the airport. The balcony and the views were my favorite and would happily stay at this location again!

Great locations, on the beach, and central to any spot on Maui. Description matched the condo, however, more beach amenities (beach chairs, towels, umbrella, cooler), than in description, which was great, but needs to be noted. We will definitely stay here again.

Amazing ocean view

This is a very cute place, located right on the beach, watching the sunset every night was wonderful. The grounds very well kept and clean. The place was nicely updated.

Nice stay

The balcony view spectacular! The beach is super close and not crowded at all. I enjoyed walking along the beach every morning and night. The neighborhood very quiet, close to the shopping center and other sites. The location perfect!

Amazing view and a great location

This property was exactly as described. We loved the amazing ocean view and the calm serenity of the condo. It was an easy walking distance to several great restaurants or grocery stores. Truly a wonderful place and we hope to book again soon!

Finally got our honeymoon of a lifetime!

This condo is adorable, had all the amenities we needed! The sunsets are gorgeous and the turtles that come up on the beach were absolutely unbelievable! One night we saw 41 of them! The owners were very helpful and made sure we were enjoying our stay! We extended our trip because we were having so much fun! We canā€™t wait to come back again!!!

Stayed here for work. Cant beat the incredible view of the ocean and palm trees, third floor elevation was nice. Heads up this isnt a swimming beach, water is dirty, but nice for walking. The condo itself is kind of a funny studio layout, you wont want to be in the "bedroom", its stuffy with no windows and parking lot noise. Ended up sleeping on the couch most of the stay to enjoy the beach side of the condo and catch a breeze. Kitchen was ok, the rest of the place could use a bit of an upgrade. The AC barely works and is only in the living room so plan to not be in the condo in the afternoon, the heat was almost unbearable.The property management company was super quick to respond when the kitchen sink was leaking and when I needed more towels after mopping it all up. Unfortunately they would only credit me a tiny amount for the day I couldnt use the kitchen and then had the plumber in the space. Understood its out of their hands but didnt really seem fair given the circumstances.Overall the great things were the view and the walks on the beach.

Thoughtfully designed vacation property.

My husband and I have stayed at HKOK before and love this property. It is close to restaurants and groceries, but secluded enough to forget your proximity. The views and convenience to the ocean is unmatched. As an interior designer, I am always looking for thoughtfully designed vacation property (which is hard to find in Hawaii!) and this one was really great. Amazing selections on the art! The vitamix was an extra surprise to have our morning smoothies (and great for our margaritas too!) Thank you for letting us share a piece of paradise with you.

great view!

We rented this condo because of that beautiful view from the balcony shown on the website. It did not disappoint! So close to the beach. We saw saw whales and turtles from the balcony! Good location, friendly people in the complex. My only complaint would be that some shades or blinds are needed as there is no protection from the afternoon sunlight and it was blinding! (Not complaining about the sun though!)

What a view

We started off a little rocky by attempting to get into our neighbors condo as he stood beside us giggling. Once inside our unit we were greeted by a blast of heat. After we got settled in and got our ac and fans figured out,(had to run down to get batteries for remotes) things cooled down and our wonderful vacation began. The view will take your breath away. Waking up and sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee is something We could do forever.

Pictures are accurate and fair. The property is quite old in style but the unit is just fine. Key asset: staring at the ocean right out the window. Was a bit dismayed to have to drag my bags up 3 floors. Did NOT like being not only responsible for damage (of course) but also being forced to pay $75 to buy $1k insurance for same (is there really even a policy in place? .. . I wonder if this is just a profit 'rake'). One guy there for 4 nights, no parties, no cooking and I need to pay $75 for what?

Awesome stay in Kihei

My wife, daughter and I stayed here over spring break. Had a great stay. The condo was clean and inviting. The beds and bedding were comfortable. The kitchen is modern and well-stocked with dishes and utensils. The third floor location for this unit is great. Beautiful views of the beach and ocean anytime. The cool breeze in the evenings was refreshing; did not need to use AC during our stay. As the pictures show, the beach is literally just outside the condo complex- so convenient! The beach itself is so pleasant- not busy and great for walks and strolls. Regularly saw sea turtles sunning themselves or swimming. The surf at this beach is relatively calm so ideal for younger families or just wading or splashing around. We loved the location of the condo complex for more than just the beach- Times Supermarket was excellent and half a block away. Akamai coffee and Peace Love Shave Ice also both excellent. Additional restaurants and lunch spots are within a short walk at Azeka Shopping center. We had an awesome time and we would definitely love to stay here again.

The best honeymoon spot!

We came for our week long honeymoon trip! It was our first trip to Hawaii and we really wanted to splurge on a place with a killer view. 314 has it! Any meal we cooked at the condo, we enjoyed out on the lanai. Watching the sunsets from the condo or down on the beach is unbeatable! The beach has a more ā€œlocal vibeā€ itā€™s excellent for swimming and lounging, you really donā€™t need to go to any other ones! (Although you still should check them out) The condo supplied anything you would need in the kitchen, beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, even a Boogie board! There is AC which kept the place feeling comfortable. The location is perfect! Just minutes from all the other beaches, 15ish minutes from Target, and everywhere else felt like just a short drive away. We had the most wonderful trip and hope to make it back someday, and to stay in 314 again! Our only complaint or suggestion would be to get a better bed. Itā€™s not the comfiest, and could be larger. Also a larger couch that 2 people could comfortably veg out on.

Hale Kai O' Kihei 314

The property is just as we remembered it the last 3 times we stayed there. This was first time in 314. Not as nice as the other units we stayed in, but the view was just as good. The location is the best of anything we've seen in Kihei, so we return to HKOK. Luckily I brought my own pillow. Theirs were horrible. The unit wasn't as clean as others we've stayed in and the sofa smelled awful- like old plastic.

March trip

We stayed in March 2022. The property was exactly as advertised and had an incredible view of the beach. We watched whales breaching several times. Also saw turtles on the beach. We would absolutely stay here again. Our only reservation was the bed, it needs to be replaced. Otherwise the condo had everything we needed.

Affordable, great location and amazing view

We werenā€™t in the actual condo for much so we didnā€™t get to experience the private beach or pool since we were out and about exploring the island but it was an affordable option for the last leg of our honeymoon! The location was great as it was close to a supermarket, really good restaurants and the airport. We loved Naluā€™s and Maui Brewing Co. The view from the lanai is amazing and we got to hop on the beach one night for the sunset and that was great. We would have preferred central air or if the AC unit was closer to the bedroom but also understand the desire to keep electric costs down :)
