Bill and Kathyā€™s Maui Home

Our Maui home is located in beautiful sunny Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. The complex is 15 acres of lush gardens, water falls and fountains. It is located across the street from Kamaole Beach Park #3 which has a grassy play area with shade trees and play ground, white sand beach with great snorkeling (turtles and plenty of fish), boogie boarding and views of the islands of Molokini and Kahoolawe (target island) and West Maui.

Our 1 bedroom, 2 full bathrooms condo is fully equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. A king size bed and a fold out sofa make room to sleep four adults with two separate baths for your privacy. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen that is updated with new refrigerator, stove and microwave, washer and dryer en suite. We have cable TV in both the living room and bedroom. DVD, VCR, CD, mp3 and ipod player for your enjoyment. Bring your laptop and enjoy FREE high speed internet access.
NO PETS and NO SMOKING!

Our large second floor Lanai has a table and chairs for four as well as a chaise lounge. The large Lanai (deck) provides a great panoramic view of the fountains, lush central gardens, water falls and Haleakala. This is also a great place to have breakfast and enjoy the singing of the many birds that call Kamaole Sands home. It is also a great place to enjoy the beautiful Maui sunsets or to just read a book

Our condo is located in Building number 1. This building is one of the best locations in the complex. It is located between the beach and the pool. Close to everything in the complex and the beach, but far enough away not to hear the traffic. The reserved parking space is a short walk to the elevator.

The Kamaole Sands Resort has been voted 'Best Condominium on Maui' by the travel industry several times. This 15 acres complex offers a large pool (refinished in 2005), a childrenā€™s pool, two jetted hot tubs, (one is adult only), eight shaded BBQ areas with tables and gas BBQā€™s (These BBQā€™s can be reserved; BBQ tools are in the condo). Four regulation tennis courts that also can be reserved. It has a manned 24/7 front desk and two activity centers. It also offers a FREE weekly Mai Tai party poolside with live entertainment.

Stay here for the location! This VRBO is in an excellent location - across the street from Kamaole 3 beach! We enjoyed walking the beaches, both north and south, everyday. There is a little turtle cove just a 10 minute walk away, next to the harbor. South Kihei is the place to stay on Maui with easy access to beautiful beaches and restaurants and shops. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed to cook including oils for cooking. We enjoyed our morning coffee and meals at home on the large lanai. A little maintenance was needed (the kitchen is a bit dated) and we let the owner know so that they could fix a broken cabinet we found upon arrival. It is also worth knowing that there is an 80 resort fee payable upon arrival (the hostā€™s welcome email was a bit out of date with their fee estimate). Not the best way to be greeted when you first arrive; I wish they would include this in the vrbo payment. This VRBO has four old beach chairs and a beach umbrella. There is snorkeling gear available for rent. Overall, this VRBO was very nice. We never needed to use the AC; the trade winds were lovely! Sitting out on the lanai was delightful. Thank you for hosting us!

Kihei the place to stay

The place was great and it suited the needs of our family for our stay here. It is walking distance to the beach (pretty much just across the street) and walking distance or a short drive to many places to eat and shop. We would definitely rent from here again!

Great Stay!

We spent about a week here and had a great stay! The condo was clean and comfortable with a great location right across from the beach! The views are incredible and we could hear the whales from the lanai on the morning! We had everything we needed (kitchen, beach things, etc) to enjoy our vacation!

Beautiful spot!

We had such a lovely stay! The location is fabulous - Right across from one of our favorite beaches on Maui. The condo had everything we needed. It was spacious inside, and we really enjoyed the lanai! The gardens, tennis, pickle ball, and pool were also great. We would highly recommend this place and would stay here again!

Karaoke Sands great stay

Great location, we finally made it back to Maui after last year reroute to Kauai as a result of the Lahaina fires. Unit was clean and well stocked. Great amenities and a quick walk to Kam 3 beach and shopping. Pickle ball and the swimming pool was great!

Great family Condo complex

We had a great week just before Christmas. The pool with 2 jacuzzis is fantastic. I used the gym every morning.We walked across the road to the beach every day. Overall it's an awesome place for families. We would stay there again

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Into was well stocked. Made lots of good use of the beach chairs and umbrella. Grounds a clean and beautiful. Pool, hot tub, Pickleball court and grills all in good working order and we enjoyed all of them immensely. Weā€™ll be back again for sure!!!

Exceeded Our Expectations

We really enjoyed our stay at the condo. The kitchen was well stocked which we had read about in other reviews. One thing we really liked was the location of the condo within the complex. The fountains were not only nice to look at, they also wiped out the noise from the street. We have stayed at another complex for a number of years but chose this complex because we had our granddaughters with us. We will definitely choose Kamaole Sands for our next trip to Maui.

Perfect family condo

Canā€™t go wrong with this condo! Everything you need for beach fun and a fantastic location in Maui. Right across from Kameole beach park 3. BIG patio with a great inner courtyard/ocean view. We had one small issue with the fridge and William handled the issue promptly. Will be staying here again! Thanks for the great trip!

I would have rated my experience as 4 stars/good, but the bedding arrangements were inadequate. I expected the unit to have a working sofabed, but upon our arrival the sofabed was broken and un-usable for sleeping. We were forced to put the matress directly on the floor. The condo was was clean and conveniently located in Kihei - very close to the beach. It was nice having a new washer/dryer to do laundry. There were a few boogie boards and beach chairs in the condo which were a great addition to our time at the beach.

Pros:-Kind owners-Unbeatable proximity to the beach-Beautiful grounds-Lots of amenities on grounds like BBQs, pickleball, tennis, pool, good weights/cardio gym-pullout couch was very comfortable -AC worked well-Awesome lanai, mix of sun and shade-Clean unit, everything workedCons-Dated interior in general. Needs updating, especially when seeing inside the other 2 units our group had in this complex during this visit. Chipped walls here and there, some mildew in shower, older kitchen. But it was all 'fine'.-Fan in bedroom still a problem, not secured well enough. I see concerns about this date back over a year.--Next to elevator can be an issue if you are a light sleeper, but we didn't find that too much of an issue.-Charged a resort fee upon arrival that we had not been expecting during the booking. The other 2 units had it included in VRBO pricing.Overall:It was fine. We were safe, it was clean, great location, great complex. Unit itself is....fine, not 'wow'.Thanks for letting us stay in your unit.
