Villa Colima - Monterosa

We are terribly sorry that Brent and his group got sick during the norovirus outbreak of March, 2019. We are aware of a few wedding parties which got hit particularly hard, and have been a huge part of the effort to combat this in Sayulita. We are happy to report that this is no longer an issue around here. We do believe it is very unfair of the guest to give us a one star review, even after saying that the condo was fine, and the problem was that everyone at the wedding got sick. But we also understand the frustration of the experience for them. Anyway, we believe Villa Colima is more than fine, but you can just read the other reviews for yourself to see how other guests felt about our amazing home. Norovirus is a difficult enemy to combat. From December through February of 2017, 2018, and 2019, Sayulita had spikes in norovirus which corresponded perfectly with the same spikes in Oregon and California (where many of our guests come from), as well as Puerto Vallarta, Cabo, Cancun, and other tourist destinations. The large spike of this highly contagious virus in Sayulita in March, 2019 was unexpected and unprecedented. The good news was that it brought all the amazing people of this beautiful town together to fight it hard. The streets and beach were rigorously cleaned up. All restaurants and businesses went through health inspections. All of our maids stepped up cleaning efforts by constantly bleaching all commonly touched surfaces. And guests were made aware of the situation and asked to wash hands often and inform us immediately if someone felt ill. Within two weeks, the number of norovirus cases had dropped by over 90%, and it is now only a bad memory.
