I think because it was super hot in Paris when we stayed, it made our experience not as great since the apartment wasn’t equipped with AC like we are used to in the United States. The only a c was in the living room and the fan in the room was very small. The host was responsive which was good. The place is very small but in a great location so we tried to let the good outweigh the bad. The apartment building felt very safe so we liked that as well.

This is it! You can stop scrolling and searching for a place to stay in the Latin Quarter. This is the perfect place; which includes 2 layers of security required to enter and leave the front hallway. Everything is right outside your door for you to enjoy Paris.

We had a nice stay here. Location was great. Easy walk to Notre Dame, the Latin Quarter and across the bridges to the Marais. It was a bit noisy throughout the night with the doors being so loud. Also there were no paper towels, napkins or sponges to clean up with. Bathroom situation was tight sharing the space with our adult son. But friendly and helpful check in. Place was clean.

Very poor communication, apartment not ready at 16:00 as promised; had to check in around cleaning person; apartment layout very poor, with shower in the middle (no privacy); some appliances challenging; air-conditioning extremely weak, room temperature at above 30 degrees C in the evening (impossible to sleep well: no A/C in the bedroom); tiny hotel-room cooler as "refrigerator," giving off great heat; no dresser, no towel bars, no closets, no hangers; door lock often does not work

Great location, and that is all. The "air conditioning" is a joke: the hotel-sized mini-fridge generates more heat than the "A/C unit" above it could handle. The "A/C" creates a small amount of air movement, but no cooling. Even if the unit had been effective in the front room (it was not), it would have had no effect in the bedroom at the opposite end of the apartment. A decent night's sleep was impossible. Communication was always difficult, as this is not really a VRBO property. You will immediately have to go through Belvilla, and then through a third entity with another name, and their own internal communication is so poor that response is delayed. We were assured repeatedly that the apartment would be ready at the usual advertized time of 4pm, but the cleaning person had been misinformed that our arrival would be 9:30pm! We had to work around her when she finally was reached and sent to the apartment, but her cleaning had to be hasty (she was very sweet about it despite language problems). We had difficulties with appliances. Two fans were ultimately provided, but all they did was circulate very hot air. The shower is in the middle of the apartment and affords no privacy at all. The front room is a bit cramped and the couch is uncomfortable. Avoid this place!

The apartment and furnishings itself were good. The air conditioning? Was “on” but never worked. For the 2 nights we were there the temperature never dropped. Also there is only air in the front room so the bedroom was well over 80 degrees approaching 90. We couldn’t sleep. So I would say you could stay here with a good experience but not during anytime where the weather may be hot or even warm. Now to be clear we stayed in July during a very hot week but I think this happens more often than not in summer anymore. Also, my frustration really lies with the fact that I emailed the week before to confirm there a) was indeed a/c and b) that it was indeed working properly. When we arrived the unit wasn’t even on. So the place was stifling. One tiny a/c unit above the cabinets could apparently not cool down a crazy hot apartment. It was also too hot to open windows and our daughter is allergic to mosquitoes so we couldn’t have opened them anyways. Too bad but made out stay less than ideal as it was. As I said furnishings are fine and I could recommend in winter. One other thing to note- there is someone living in a tent on the sidewalk just outside the building. Not startling for us but may be for some.

We arrived in Paris from San Francisco, and during our taxi ride to the apt, I received a text stating we would need to pickup keys at another location. I tried calling the office but no answer, so I contacted the corporate office & told them my issue. I receved a call stating their best employee would meet us at the apt with the keys. We waited in front of the apt building for 10 mins before he arrived. We took us into the apt building that was to be ready for our arrival. The apt was hot, the rug was dirty, the curtains didn't close completely, the shower & wash basin was in the only bedroom. No air conditioning in the bedroom! After taking a shower the bedroom became muggy & even hotter. This apt is not suitable for 3 or 4 adults. It might be ok for 2 adults & 2 kids. I texted the property manager with all my issues & asked for a one days refund of the four days we had paid but they refused any compensation. Renter beware! This is not a brand new apt.!

We started off by being told we had to pickup keys at another location. then we were promised that someone would be waiting for us at the apt with our key & to let us in. We waited 10 mins for someone to show up,after a long flight from SFO. We entered a very hot apt, without air conditioning In the bedroom. We were disappointed in the apt. It doesn't look brand new. The kitchen chair fabric is dusty & worn. The rug in the living room is dirty & needs to be vacuumed. There isn't any place to hang up clothes. The drapes do not close properly, they are too small for the window. The shower & sink are in the bedroom not in separate room, which makes it difficult for people that have to take a shower where someone else is sleeping. I will not recommend this apt especially for the price that we paid. I did request to be reimbursed for one days stay but was refused. I will also think twice before renting a Belvilla property. We travel every year and stay for a total six weeks. Their response was sorry, sorry and sorry. Blah, Blah, Blah. They did offer to clean our room in the middle of our stay but they had plenty of time to clean it before we arrived.

La personne de Checkmyguest qui nous a laissés entrer dans le logement a eu du mal à ouvrir la porte et l'a signalé à son gestionnaire afin que quelqu'un passe la réparer dès le lendemain. Elle était fendue dans le bas à l'intérieur. après avoir déposé nos bagages, ce samedi soir, nous sommes allés souper au restaurant. Mais au retour, vers 20h, impossible d'ouvrir la porte. Nous contactons à nouveau Checkmyguest. Un autre représentant vient sur place et, tant bien que mal, finit par réussir à ouvrir la porte non sans y avoir donné de très gros coups. ....Impossible donc d'y habiter. On finit donc par nous reloger, il est près de 23h, complètement à l'autre bout de Paris, dans un arrondissement où nous ne voulions pas aller, en nous disant que c'était là le seul logement disponible. Nous avons dû y rester 2 nuits attendu que la réparation ne se ferait que le lundi dans l'avant-midi ! À notre retour au logement, fin de journée lundi, nous sommes obligés de passer l'aspirateur laissé là tout démonté puisque la saleté résultant des travaux n'avait pas été ramassée. Enfin, pour sublimer le tout, hyper faible débit d'eau dans la douche et pas d'eau chaude .....Un technicien viendra y remédier le mercredi dans la journée. Sur un total de 7 nuits réservés, seules 3 ont été conformes !!! Avis aux intéressés !!!! Cet appartement est idéalement situé mais il ne semble pas que quiconque ait vérifié son état avant notre arrivée !! Ils sont prêts à prendre votre argent pour louer mais peu enclins à vous dédommager quand ils sont clairement en faute.
