What a house! The word “palatial” comes to mind!! Way more room than we could ever have wanted!The location was superb. 5 minutes from the Interstate, yet still suburban/country! All the stores & restaurants you could want just off the Interstate!And best of all: a DOGGY Door!! This should be the second “amenity” listed-just after the fenced backyard!!!We’re only sorry we were too tired to use the pool or hot tub! They would have been great!

Deer Valley retreat

My family and I had a wonderful long weekend staying at this property. We enjoyed the peaceful setting, relaxing by the pool and sharing meals together. This property was in excellent condition and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I would highly recommend it to other families.

Paradise in the desert for all ages

Spacious, clean, beautiful inside and outside with views. Very safe for toddlers (fenced in pool) and older kids with lots of activities (basketball hoop, ping pong table, games pool toys) and furniture for them. Lovely walks and trail hike up a hill from the front door. Hosts were very responsive if we needed anything. We will definitely stay there again for our next family reunion!

We had an amazing stay at Julie and Matt’s property!!! They were absolutely wonderful to work with. The Home is spectacular and the time spent was so good. I can ever Thank you both enough!!! Simply Wonderful

Due to last minute cancelation, we were left with finding a place to stay for the month of March. We contacted Julie, the owner of the property, who bent over backwards to accommodate us. The property was more than we could have hoped for. Our two dogs loved the access to the heated pool. The dessert views are spectacular. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was such a beautiful home close to hiking, restaurants and had a lovely patio, pool and hot tub. We also had so much fun playing connect 4 outside. We celebrated my husband’s 60th birthday with our adult children and granddaughter. I can’t say enough how accommodating Julie and Matt were. Thank you so much for a very memorable vacation!

Comfortable home, great for groups

We had a good two week stay at this house. It was just our family of three and two dogs, but it was clear this house would be great for a group! It’s well equipped - the kitchen had everything we needed, there are tons of activities and games - and comfortable. The beds and towels were great! Even though it’s only five minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, etc, it has the feel of being out town - it’s on septic and well water. It is part of a small neighborhood. And there’s a beautiful view of the hot air balloons every morning. The owners are also incredibly responsive and clearly take good care of the place.

Phoenix/Scottsdale Resort Style Home in Sonoran Desert

Location is great! Had a group of fellows in town for the Waste Mangement Golf Tournament. The location took us about 20-25 minutes to park for tournament. Also, very close to Quintero Golf Course. House comfortably slept our group of 5 guys without any issues. The house has many amenities including a hot tub located in front looking over the city lights. Also, a nice backyard with heated pool and many tables and areas for entertainment. Keep in mind, there are (5) bedrooms. 1 bedroom is about 1,000 sq. ft. and is definitely the master. The other rooms are all regular in size. I think the house is listed as a (4) bedroom. The 5th bedroom is just a hid-a-bed with no closet or nightstands. House has all the cooking supplies needed on site and ready to use. Overall, a wonderful house in a great location. Thanks, Matt

Liked it very much

I am a 71 year old American traveling with his wife. We had a 5 day family get-together consisting of 3 couples and a 19 month old toddler. First, the bottom line. We thought the house was worth what we paid. The house held all of us and afforded complete privacy with the way the bedrooms are arranged. There are 4 bedrooms with 2 being jack-and-jill style. All are en-suite – very nice. You could leave all the blinds open in the 2 west-facing bedrooms and still feel complete privacy with the nearest house being so far away and lower in elevation than this house. Entire house is nicely decorated and appointed. The dining room table would easily seat 8.Televisions EVERYWHERE but only local channels are available. 2 refrigerators with one in the laundry room and both gave ice and water through the door. The house has an out-in-the-desert feel even though there are some other houses around. Back yard has a fair sized lawn that is so nicely manicured I thought it was artificial turf at first. The back yard is completely fenced and was just perfect for the 19 month old to run around in and kick the soccer ball that was with the house. The pool is past the lawn, elevated about 4 feet and completely fenced. It is not heated. The outside sitting area is under the overhang of the roof, completely protected from any weather, large, with 2 ceiling fans and very comfortable seating for 6 adults. The lighting was a little sparse because we could never figure out how to turn on the 6 lights in the ceiling fans. But the couple of recessed can lights were adequate to playing games in the evening. The hot tub is on the front porch which seemed a little odd until we sat in it in the evening and realized that there is a nice view of the lights in the valley from the tub. The master bedroom is so enormous it actually looks a little empty. Note, that the access to the master bath area is not separated by a door from the bedroom. Some people might like this but its not my cup of tea. But it is down a little hallway from the bedroom so you are not totally exposed. In the end it worked out OK. One REALLY nice little thing that we appreciated very much was that ALL the hot water faucets have instant hot water. I have this in my own house and you don’t know how nice it is not having to run the water for a long time to get hot water. Very strong WIFI – 10 MB download speed which should be adequate for just about anything. More to say but characters are limited.

Loved everything about this place. Beautiful, cleanly, and remote, but close enough to major road arterials to get around town. Lovely desert setting, beautiful sunsets, and lots of area to walk, ride bikes, etc. Host was fantastic too. Will stay here again!

In the beginning of February my wife and I spent two lovely weeks at this wonderful VRBO home. The owner (Julie) was on top of everything. She gave us a few tips about things in the area we may want to see. The house is comfortable with good AC, instant hot water, a hot tub with a nice view, a serene setting for relaxing, heated pool, a bevy of quail and much more. It is a short drive to many restaurants, markets and other shops. We hope to stay here again in the future.

We had a wonderful time staying here Thanksgiving week with our cousins. Plenty of room for the kids and the outdoor area was beautiful. House is updated, clean, and well-stocked. We will be back!

Fabulous North Phoenix Vacation Home

Fabulous property. Great layout of space. Very clean and well equipped. Communication with host was also wonderful and easy. Loved the pool. Great location (close to freeways, shopping restaurants). Beautiful surroundings and a bonus city view. This will definitely be our go to Phoenix home.

Love Love Love

We had a big family group from Grandparents to Great-Grandchildren and the house was perfect for everyone! We really enjoyed being close to shops and freeways but also just far enough out to enjoy the peaceful nature, beautiful sunsets, and morning hot air balloons. The house is well stocked with towels, blankets, pillows, and the kitchen had everything you would need! The big walk-in closets in 3 of the bedrooms was a nice surprise! Julie was amazing, very responsive and made sure everything was perfect! We can’t wait to stay here again!

Private Vacation

Great location for those wanting a little privacy. Located at the edge of the Phoenix Sonoran Preserve, its very close to great hiking trails and only a few minutes from grocery stores & restaurants. The house is very spacious, clean and is generously stocked with towels and kitchen items. Our visit unfortunately was only a 4-star visit. We would have given it 5-stars except for the following items: 1. First day of our visit the swimming pool heater was not heating properly. The heated pool was a critical part of our decision to stay at this VRBO. 2. First day - the hot tub didn’t work. 3. The exterior furniture were extremely dusty/dirty. We tried to clean them ourselves but ended up sitting on towels so the dirt wouldn’t get on our clothes. 4. The starter on the outdoor fireplace didn’t work. We used a lighter to start it each night. Please know that Julie was extremely responsive to each of the issues we had. She was accessible by phone on multiple occasions throughout our stay. She sent electricians to the home the second day and they resolved the hot tub and the pool heater issues. In the end, we had a wonderful stay. But, for the daily rate we were paying, we would have liked it to go a little smoother.

Gorgeous Views

Home was in a really great area, lots of wildlife, beautiful sunsets & hot air balloon watching. It’s also only 10 minutes from restaurants & shopping so you get that “private” feeling without being too far from anything. The home has plenty of space for large groups, beds were comfortable & tons of storage in closets as well. The yard is just as pictured, & the additions of yard games & kids toys was so appreciated for our family. The home is definitely fully stocked, which was great! The only negative is that the home had some minor repairs (speaker wires hanging), but I notified Julie & she assured me they had plans to fix it. She was a great communicator & host, overall a great stay! Thank you!
