To have a place to stay in London for a reasonable price, this met the need. We were here for five days, and made great use of the tube. The Kensington stop was an apx 15 min walk from the flat. In the days leading up to and including the day of arrival, the communication with the owner/manager of the VRBO was pretty non-existent, including confirming a luggage drop off time that had been granted at the time of booking. One time there were days before my question was acknowledged and the reply was “greetings.” My specific question about a luggage drop off time was never answered even after asking repeatedly. So we had to lug our baggage with us all over London. Customer service and communication were very poor. In addition, our reservation states a 3p check-in time but the host messaged the day of arrival to change it to 4 which meant we did not have time to check in and get to our 5 pm attraction. When we arrived shortly after 3:00 pm, our check in time as stated on our reservation, the cleaners were still cleaning. They left promptly at 4p, but left a load of linens in the washing machine; floors were grimy and not swept/vacuumed very well; and bed linens/comforters on the beds did not smell clean and had dirt/sand. We made repeated calls to VRBO both before arrival because we started to suspect our reservation was a scam and 2 times once in country. The pictures in the listing are adequate but are from a different flat. And the roadside pictures are not of the flat.
