Enjoy the 18th & 19th Century houses, Parks and squares. This is the nicest place to live in London. This is the part of the metropolis that many aspire to live. Property prices are sky high, why, because clean streets loaded with charm and wonderful shopping on the Kings Road. Our property comes with twin beds, shower no tub, living room with Samsung HDTV , mini kitchen, the all,important Free WiFi so you can stay in touch. Great little in-law apartment. Small but had everything needed for a couple wanting to use it as a base to explore central London. Very clean and convenient. Hosts could not have been any nicer. Does not have an oven but it was not needed if you plan.

Your survey asked me to rate my winery experience. There was no winery experience and none was expected.We thoroughly enjoyed this charming and cozy flat. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The area was within walking distance of everything we neededā€¦shops, buses and the tube. Chelsea is a safe, beautiful and historic area.We hope to stay here again next time weā€™re in London.

Ted and MFā€™s apartment was the ideal stay for us. The neighborhood was quiet, but well connected to transportation and shopping. All the rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. There is a small electric fireplace that we could use if the living room got chilly and the towel warmer in the bathroom kept it nice and cosy. We especially appreciated the washer/dryer combo during our 2 week stay. The kitchen had everything we needed and having a smart TV made streaming easy. Ted and MFā€™s hospitality was very welcoming and responsive. As previously mentioned, Ted took us on a neighborhood history tour and kept in touch during our stay with sightseeing suggestions. We highly recommend this property and would return again.

Lovely apartment, great neighborhood. Teds historical tour of Chelsea was a wonderful introduction to the the area. lots of stores and restaurants just a few blocks away, and easy access to bus and underground.The apartment was tastefully decorated, with comfortable seating, lots of books and maps, which made if feel more like a home than a stark, bland apartment which we have experienced in many other places. Thank you, MF and Ted for a wonderful experience. On future trips to London, this will be our first choice for a place to stay.

Wonderful Chelsea

This one bedroom flat is very comfortable. You go down about 10 steps with a railing to the flat. (We are two friends that are 78 and 84 so safety is a concern.) The large room is a kitchen, living and dining area with an electric fireplace if you need a little extra heat in the morning or evening. The bathroom has a walk in shower that had great water pressure and a heated towel rack. The twin beds were comfortable and there is plenty storage for clothes if you do not want to live out of your suitcase while there.It took us about 10 minutes to walk to the bus stop on King's road. Probably would take 20 minutes to the tube at Sloane Square. The Surprise Pub (a block away) is very good, but best to have a reservation. Very busy on the weekend. There wasn't a lot of street noise although you do hear people talking as they walk past the flat. Typical city living. The owners are very helpful and so nice. We felt very safe in the flat and in Chelsea. All in all good value for the price.

We came to London to see the Chelsea Flower show and were happy to see that we were close enough we could walk there from the flat. King's rd also dresses up for the Show and it was a short walk as well. Ted and MF are experienced hosts who are a wealth of knowledge about their area. We had a terrific time!

We stayed 7 days and nights and found that we had stumbled into a quiet oasis. We really enjoyed the location, as it was close to transportation, quiet, and allowed us to fix breakfast and late night snacks. Also there are bike (for rent) stands a block away. Very comfortable flat in excellent location

We stayed eight nights in this well-maintained, comfortable and well-equipped flat. It is in a pleasant neighborhood within easy walking distance to a pub (2 minutes), a Tesco Express (3 minutes) and shops, restaurants, supermarkets and the world on King's Road (6 minutes). A 10-minute walk to Sloane Square and a 17-minute walk to South Kensington. The location is very quiet. The flat is perfect for two people, with two comfortable twin-beds, a dresser and closet space and mirrors in the bedroom and a sofa, table with two chairs and an ottoman in the main room. The sofa faces an electric fireplace which can be set to give off heat or not. The main room also serves as the kitchen with a range, microwave, refrigerator and washer/dryer. There is no oven but all of the other normal kitchen appliances are present. It is well equipped. The shower is roomy and the water flow strong. There is good lighting throughout the flat. Our host and hostess - Ted and MF - were pleasant and informative; Ted is a retired London guide and took us on a walk through the immediate neighborhood pointing out things that we would not have noticed and telling us of notable personalities (many from stage and screen) who had lived in the surrounding buildings. We have been to London many times - it's one of our favorite places to visit - and generally stay in the South Kensington/Chelsea area. This is one of the best flats we have stayed in and we have no hesitation of recommending it highly.

Cozy Flat, Perfect Location!

This flat was incredibly comfy with separate bedroom (2 twin beds-VERY comfortable), lovely bathroom with an AWESOME shower. I have long hair and usually the shower pressure won't rinse the soap out, but this was NOT the case here. The water temp was amazing, the lighting perfect for makeup application! The family room had a comfy couch, fabulous electric fireplace, mini fridge, microwave, sink (kitchenette), and everything you need. Testco market was a block or so away. Mark & Spencer is a 10 minute walk with a huge selection of food, clothing, necessities, etc., so you won't panic if you forgot to pack something. The only downside to the flat was it's not the front door you see in the photo. It's located around the corner of the front door, down the side stairs into a basement. When you open the window curtains, you look at cement walls. We didn't see this mentioned anywhere before booking, so, just be aware. Ted and MF are an incredibly sweet couple, they have great suggestions for sites, food, experiences, etc. I loved them right off! Ted offered to help order a car for the morning we left for the airport, and we had plenty of time. The location of the flat couldn't have been better. It was only a 10 minute walk to the tube, we hopped every line/bus/train to get to where we wanted every day, and had a peaceful walk back to the flat each night. Thank you Ted and MF for a wonderful place to call home for 8 days!

Fantastic location

My husband and I stayed for one week in October. The location of the flat was absolutely perfect for us. We could walk to the V and A, Royal Albert Hall, and the Kings Road with ease. The Sloan Square tube is an easy walk. Ted, our host provided great communication as well as a very nice tour of the neighbourhood. The flat itself is roomy and comfortable, in a relaxed grandmother style of decor, although a little chilly for us. We were unable to use the washing machine as a part was on backorder. Not a big deal. Loved there was a Bodum french press, toaster and fridge. The Marks & Spencer has an excellent grocery department, a short walk away. Overall, an excellent stay.

Truely Wonderful!

Host are lovely with a wealth of knowledge about Chelsea and London areas. Lovely area in Chelsea within a very short distance to Kings Road Shopping and Thames River walks. Loved Battersea Power Station just a short stroll from Tite Street. There is even a prestigious local Pub ( The Surprise)! just down the road surrounded by Victorian Terraced houses! Amazing Stay! Amazing Hosts!

My Husband and I had an amazing stay at this lovely apartment over the Christmas holiday. Everything about the apartment from location, to charm, to our hosts was above all expectations! Close to shopping and pubs and public transportation, we look forward to staying here again one day. Ted and Marie Francoise were charming hosts who delighted us with tidbits of history and tricks for navigating the tube and buses. Ted arranged a car for us back to the airport and positively loves his town. We travel a lot and this was one of the best experiences we ever had. Thank you to our hosts!
