Coco Cottage at Poipu Beach is a classic, sugar plantation-style home located on the sunny south shore of Kauai. Completely rebuilt, it offers beautiful furnishings, a fully equipped kitchen, full-size washer and dryer, two air-conditioned bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, two bathrooms, and a huge, breezy lanai - offering island living at its best. Located in the heart of Poipu, Coco Cottage is just a 30-second walk to the ocean at the end of the street where you will find Brennecke's Beach and Poipu Beach Park for some of the best swimming, sunning, snorkeling and surfing on Kauai. Restaurants, delis, coffee shops, surf & beach rental shops, and a tennis club are all within an easy stroll of the cottage. Kauai is a dream destination, with the famous Na Pali Coast on one end of the island and stunning Waimea Canyon on the the other. Coco Cottage is the perfect place to take advantage of all the adventures Kauai has to offer, or to relax and do nothing at all.

The Coco Cottage was impeccable. From the moment you walk in you are in awe by the quaint and stunning styling of the home. From the welcoming gifts, to the amazing amenities it has easily become our favorite place to stay in the Poipu area! The proximity to Brenneke's Beach is also one of the best.

Truly lovely house with cozy rooms, plenty of fans, efficient AC, a cook’s kitchen, and a fantastic loving vibe. Very short walk to Puka dog, Brennecke beach (and restaurant), and shopping center with bakery, coffee, sushi including a small market for essentials. Dying to go back!

Happy repeat visit!

This was our second stay at the Coco Cottage and it did not disappoint! In addition to the perfect location 5 minute walk from the beach, the house is exquisitely appointed with everything needed for a great vacation, even including beach supplies such as chairs, umbrellas, and toys! We hope to return a third time some day!

Charming cottage near Poipu beach!

We loved staying at Coco Cottage, just a short walk to the beach for fun in the sun. The hosts are wonderful, and we absolutely loved this charming place-- especially the lanai and the "oasis" in the backyard-- very lush and beautiful, and relaxing to just wake up and listen to the morning birds. We will definitely return!

Awesome House

This house is exactly what it looks like except even better. It is fully equipped, comfortable, great location. The back deck is so inviting we sat there for many hours. I would definitely stay here again. It is a comfortable walk to the beach and restaurants. Great home.

We've lived on Kauai for over 40 years, and our grandchildren represent the 5th generation raised on the island. Rick's grandparents came to Kauai in the early 1920's; his grandfather was a civil engineer in the sugar plantation industry. We've traveled the world, but can't imagine living anywhere else. Until recently, Rick was a part-owner of Coldwell Banker Makai Properties, a local real estate company, which he sold to Coldwell Banker Island Properties from Maui. Rick is now a broker with CBIP and Joan recently retired after a long career in education.

Some of Rick's fondest memories include learning to swim, body surf, and surf at Brennecke Beach and Poipu Beach. We have classic photos of his mother swimming there in the early 1930's. Our own daughters spent their childhoods on these shores. We were thrilled to find this little house for sale in 2016, as we could see the potential for a perfect vacation home. We spent most of 2017 renovating it, and adding all the special touches we would want in our own home.

With the French Doors open to the trade winds, ceiling fans gently turning, birds chirping outside, and the beach just steps away - you'll be in instant vacation mode. The kitchen offers everything you'll need to make a casual snack or turn out a gourmet meal. The king-size beds are of high quality and comfy, and plantation shutters ensure a good night's sleep. Both bedrooms have air conditioning units, giving you the option of a cool retreat on warm nights. The bathrooms are spacious and inviting, and the closets provide plenty of room for your belongings (bathing suit and shorts!). You can enjoy breakfast on the lanai, a run along the coastline, or a sunset picnic at the beach pavilion. We invite you to come, stay, and build special memories of your stay on Kauai.
