Welcome to "Poipu Palms #104". We just finished an extreme renovation of this condo. It was a complete tear down and rebuild, so everything inside is now NEW! Featuring two bedrooms, new bathrooms, new kitchen,Ā new flooring, new beds, new furniture andĀ new paint throughout.

The location has always been one of the best on the island, but now that everything inside the condo is new! it's just an amazing place to stay while on your vacation on Kauai!Ā 

PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT THE UNIT DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. WE DO HAVE CEILING FANS AND IT DOES GET A NICE BREEZE. ITS ALSO ON THE FIRST FLOOR SO ITS COOLER THAN THE HIGHER FLOORS.

Imagine watching a whale breach, or dolphins play right in front of you as you relax and sip a cocktail on the lanai of your very own ocean front condo in sunny Poipu on the south shore of Kauai,.

This delightful island home is located in the Poipu Palms Resort, which is a quiet condominium complex with only 12 units and located directly on the ocean front. If you've previously experienced a stay at one of the large resorts (with their large crowds), you will find this condo to be a very refreshing change of pace. The dramatic views from the condo are just amazing, and we also have an ocean front pool where you can relax and also take in the gorgeous views of the ocean.

The location couldn't be better... halfway between (and within a walkable distance to) both of Poipu's main beaches (Shipwreck Beach and Poipu Beach). Also just a stone's throw to restaurants, shopping and the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

If you wish to experience living on the ocean while visiting Kauai, there simply is no better spot.

Air Conditioning- Hawaii is known for its trade winds. Many homes on Kauai have been designed for "open airflow" using screened windows and screened sliding doors, and DO NOT have air conditioning. Please be sure and confirm when making your reservation whether the home you have chosen does or does NOT have air conditioning. Depending on the season, or even the day, temperatures typically range between 74 to 84 for the highs, and 60 to 74 for the lows, year-round. Refunds or discounts ARE NOT given for lack of Air Conditioning in a property.

This is a great VRBO in a great location. Clean, well appointed. Even the frying pans were nice pieces. The balcony views are great, as shown in the photos. Each bedroom has a bathroom attached, which means that there isnā€™t one off of the main room. The location is very convenient to everything. The host was great, staying in communication before and throughout our stay, in case of any need. Highly recommended and I would stay here again.

Beautiful condo, in a great location!! Owner added a portable a/c unit which was a nice surprise when we arrived. Unit has everything thing you need, including beach chairs and umbrella. Would highly recommend this unit.

Great Views & Location!

We stayed here for a week and the condo was perfect for the 2 of us. We used the beach gear provided - which was really handy to have. The condo had everything we could have needed and the view was so great! We watched the whales from the deck every morning! We thought not having any AC might be an issue since we sleep in the cold and there were plenty of fans and breeze so it wasnt a problem at all!

Whale watching from the lanai is a tough job but sombody has to do it šŸ™‚

Right on the Ocean

The best thing about this property is that you are literally right on the ocean. The view is amazing, having the pool and deck was really nice too. The biggest downside was how much you could hear from the guest above us, we could hear them rolling over on their beds at night. We did find a cockroach in the shower but I think these critters come with Hawaii living! Otherwise it was a great place to stay for out family of 5

We would rate the accommodations about 7 of 10. Positives: - ocean front - pool - not crowded or busy - basic condiment supply, linens, etc - proximity to services - walking paths - sea turtles, spinner dolphins and whales were very active out front - the cold beer, coffee and chips were a nice treat on arriving late. Negatives: - bed mattress was hurting back after a few days of use - lack of unit BBQ - lack of A/C, fans were insufficient and noisy - not all windows could be opened as screens were missing - unit could use deep cleaning, it was neat, but buildup was very noticeable on fridge, ledges, etc - I repaired screen door early during stay as it would not open and was very noisy for neighbors. Suggestions: - bit more info in unit on island points of interest - recycling info - a small cooler - plastic cups for poolside

Fantastic views

The view and location is awesome. We chose this property for the view. Items that can be improved upon are: cleanliness, there was still hair on the bathroom floor, there were tiny bugs on the kitchen counter, such a beautiful view, show that off and clean the windows. Ice machine on the fridge was not working because it was so full of ice it was frozen over. Clean up the outside of the entry way there was bird or rodent droppings. Overall the unit was nice but could use some tender loving care. The flooring in bathroom off of dining area was very spongy and needs to be replaced. The building is old and you could hear tenant above us walking around. The outside pool area and decking were the best part. Would be nice if the complex had a gas grill for barbequing as compared to briquets style.

Amazing location

We stayed at this ocean front condo for 7 days and loved the incredible ocean view, ocean front pool and very convenient location. The property manager was very helpful and went above and beyond for all our needs. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. There was a few issues that were addressed and resolved very quickly. I would like to suggest a few things to the owner. There was no space to put away our groceries so we kept most of it on a kitchen counter. Some kind of cabinet for dishes would work great there since there was extra space for that. Same thing with the closets that had a lot of extra pillows and bedding but no dresser or shelfā€™s to put away our clothes. The furniture in the living/dining room on the pictures was nicer than the one that is actually there. There was also a rooster right next to our bedroom windows that kept us up from midnight to 7am everyday. I know itā€™s hard to control this since they are everywhere on this island but this one is just too close for comfort. Overall we had a great experience and thank you again for your hospitality.

The entire experience was disappointing

Sadly, this condo is described as a "luxury vacation rental at its finest." This condo is not as advertised, and here is why: No blankets for any of the beds. It was cold and rainy while we where there. Mattress on sofa bed sounded like a whoopie cushion, so my cousins had to move it to the floor. They had no comforter. Only sheets. Beds in 2nd bedroom are not twins. More like camper beds; very small and very hard. I couldnā€™t sleep and my lower back was in pain for two days. I took the top sheet and very thin bedspread off the other ā€œtwinā€just to keep warm. Two bad nightsā€™ sleep for all five guests. There was no bathmat in their bathroom. The floor in their shower is made of plastic, and my brother in law said it was very slippery to the point he didnā€™t want to move around for fear of slipping. BTW, he's in great shape.There were no hangers in the main bedroom.I had hangers, however, the closet door in the second bedroom was off its track and they just left it inside the closet, which btw was filled with clutter. The door was leaning the other one blocking the inside of closet so I couldn't use it to hang my dress that I was going to go out to dinner in. The closet was unusable. BTW, the host has yet to respond to me, his management company, or VRBO and it's been over 2 weeks. This was not close to a luxury condo. Even the drinking glasses looked dirty. This was my Christmas present to my family, and frankly, Iā€™m disgusted by the entire experience.

Location, Location, Location

We spent a great week in Kauai. The location was perfect. Near beaches and perfect spot to adventure from. Very centrally located to get all over the island. Loved the pool and common deck/grill and the views were heavenly. Unit was nice, maybe the most equipped property we stayed in, and fit our needs perfectly. Fridge/freezer stopped working while we were there, but property manager acted quickly and got us a replacement that day. Would definitely stay there again!

Amazing Property, Breathtaking View

Loved our stay, it was the perfect condo for a family of 5! (19, 21, & 12 YO) It was clean, had everything we needed and the view was simply gorgeousā€¦ you can watch the sea turtles, from the lanai or pool. Well maintained, stocked with everything we needed to cook, relax, and had awesome beach šŸ– necessities (snorkels, fins, beach chairs, beach chairs, beach blanket, towels). It was very comfortable, no need for AC, it has fans, and beautiful trade wind breezes. We will definitely return, and give it šŸ’ÆšŸ’ÆšŸ’Æ Rico and Corey (property manager) were both fabulous and easy to communicate with. Maholo!

Great view

Nice 2 BR, 2 BA with sleeper sofa with great view of the ocean. We were concerned with the lack of AC but we were comfortable because the unit is on the lower level and doesnā€™t get much direct sun. Floors were dirty but we appreciated the welcome goodies (fruit, chocolates, wine) and better stocked kitchen including Brita filter. The laundry access also came in handy! Good communication with property manager, and nice safe community.
