Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. However, I have no control over parking. The town of Matlacha is a historic little fishing town, with a small two lane road traveling through the island with small properties, most of which used to be fishing shacks on each side of the road, with water behind them. Leaving limited parking. We are actually lucky to have a parking spot for each room. Therefore, although the area is tight, you will have room to park.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. My descriptions are accurate, not misleading, you booked a streetside room for $85/night on a busy two-lane road, not a highway, during our busiest time of the year, of course, there is traffic noise. You should have splurged and booked one of our waterfront cottages, they are quiet, but they cost more, you chose and booked our lowest price room. However, we do not allow smoking, so there is no smoke smell, never had a complaint about odors in any of our rooms, in fact we get compliments all the time about how clean the rooms are. The bed you mention as old is only a year old, I get compliments on how comfortable our beds are often, just scroll through the reviews, you'll see them. You had a pet which you did not inform us about, you rearranged the furniture without putting it back, scraping the hardwood floor in the process. You rifled through our laundry room and took a roll-away bed, without asking permission, a bed that we normally have a charge to use, but I waived the fee for you. You said it was because you snored and your wife couldn't sleep with you, not that the bed was uncomfortable. You left the room an absolute smelly mess, you broke the wine key and the blow dryer and you complained the entire time about everything, trying to get even more of a discount. You are not welcome back.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. Yes it's best to book a waterside room instead of a streetside room, especially during Florida's busiest time of year, it's much more quiet away from the road.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We are always upgrading, we work on the waterside rooms first and therefore they have more amenities than the streetside. If there is something specific that you would like to see in a room, please let me know, perhaps it can be accomplished. Sharon

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. No the property isn't new, it's in the historic district, but yes we are constantly upgrading to the extent that the historical society will allow.

The road is very busy during the winter months, there is a lot more people here. There is road noise unless you stay on the waterside.
