My stay here was absolutely wonderful. The sunset views were breathtaking, and falling asleep to the sound of gentle waves each night was pure bliss. The unit was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. Communication with the host was seamless; clear, concise, and responsive. The property itself is stunning, with beautifully landscaped grounds and a serene pool area that I often had entirely to myself. The location was ideal - just minutes from a grocery store, great local spots, and countless gorgeous beaches.I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for sharing such a special place!

Awesome location!

Beautiful spot on the coast, close to the grocery store and to a very good snorkeling spot within walking distance. I loved the waves crashing all night against the rocks. I would definitely book this again when staying hon the Big Island.

Perfect stay for vacation!

Well usually I have a difficult time sleeping in hotels , but we all had the best sleep ever, especially when you are listening to the sounds of the ocean and the fresh air breeze!

Great apartment in the heart of Hilo

This was a clean and bright apartment in downtown Hilo. Restaurants. groceries, shops, and the Hilo farmers’ market were all a short walk away. Check-in instructions were clear and easy. Our host was responsive and available if we needed anything. Parking was right next to the apartment. My family of four enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Amazing Time☀️

We had a lovely stay at the condo. Peaceful, lovely grounds and activities. The unit was clean, nicely stocked, and had friendly communication. We snorkeled, saw many sea turtles, found great eats, stargazed, ocean views were mesmerizing, beaches were sweet to explore… and had a great place to relax and rise at. ❤️

This was perfect

For us this was the perfect rental. It was clean, spacious and located just right. The lanai was so nice to spend mornings eating breakfast, drink coffee, watching the waves, and just as nice to watch the sundown each evening. Rocco and Rita were both very attentive to our needs. We are already planning our next trip.

Great location, could be perfect

This location is outstanding for being next to the water. With a few dollars invested, the building could be a much better place. For example a new bed instead of old rickety twin beds. AC upstairs is needed too. The owner was very responsive to texts and should be commended for that.

Outstanding, Unforgettable Honeymoon Stay

We came to Rocco’s place for our honeymoon and were met with the most hospitable, welcoming, clean home. We had such a relaxing time listening to the waves at night, sitting on the lanai and watching the sunsets. We will take the memories we made here for the rest of our lives. Thank you!!

These are not luxurious properties, but they're not supposed to be. This condo is smack oceanside so you watch the sunset from your lanai. Pool and community facilities are great, and the residents graciously included us in their community potluck on Christmas Day. Our kids spent a lot of time on the tennis/oickleball court. Kahalu'u snorkleing beach is a 10-15 walk which means you don't pay and fight for parking.Great place for a family vacation.

Location!

This townhouse suited us okay. It is very small. Not hardly enough room and seeting in living room for family of 5. The air-conditioning units (1 in living room is a window unit that is loud and drips water and the upstiars master bedroom is on the floor up has an obnoxious vent out the window) so be prepared this is not central air. The unit is what i would say economical. Basic everything. The light fixtures need replaced as many are rusty due to the moisture. With all that said... the beds were comfortable, rhe grounds were lovely, they graciously gave us a late checkout and the view and sounds of the ocean not hardly 10 steps out the back door are worth the money.

Excellent location to beaches, stores & our excursions. The lanai was perfect, we sat outside every morning and had breakfast and enjoyed the view. The property description was great and the beds were very comfy. Having access to a in house washer and dryer was a huge plus as well. Bonus points for having some chairs, a cooler, body boards and snorkeling gear to use. The portable ac upstairs kept the master bedroom nice and cool, the bedroom with the twin beds was a little stuffy during the day, but we were only getting ready here so it was tolerable! My daughter was very comfortable at night with the fan they had here and the small portable clip fan she brought. The window ac unit downstairs worked great as well. Rocco was very kind and communicated with us with check in instructions and then made sure all was well the next day. Very appreciative of that. Ample cookware and utensils. They do provide a few essentials (trash bags, hand soap, dish detergent) to get your stay started, which is very helpful as well. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend this townhouse to friends and family. 10/10

Great location

Everything was great! The only thing we didn’t like was how hot the upstairs was. Both bedrooms are upstairs and the temperature was very uncomfortable. We ended up buying another fan because it was so hot! Even with both fans and the ceiling fans going it was still really hot. Other than that it was a great stay!

February 2018 stay

Enjoyed this Unit for the 5th Year in a row. We will most likely do it again next year. Only two small issues we had this trip. The keys are hard to operate in the front door lock. Perhaps the door know needs replacing & the dishwasher latch has been broken for two years and needs fixing.

We had amazing amazing 5 days at this property. Great location, beautiful community, easy access and parking. House is in good-great condition with fewer flows like upstairs bedrooms do not have a/c units and our first night was quite hot to sleep even it was mid December. However, from the second day weather got better and cool breeze was coming in but we need to keep our bedroom door open. Another issue must be fixed that upstairs bathroom shower door is not closing and due to this water splashes was going out on the bathroom met and on the floor. And one last thing the kitchen window do not have screen and that allows bugs to get in easily. Other than these issues my family and I had amazing time sitting outside watching beautiful sunsets and watching crashing waves. It was very relaxing vacation and we definitely coming back when we visit beautiful and magical Big Island of Hawaii.

Nice Stay

The patio backs up to the ocean for direct ocean viewing. A few locals fishing but no catches during our stay. Short walk to a strong waved beach and a short drive to a lifeguard snorkel area. Close (walkable) grocery for last minute needs-( although Costco a better option about 30 minutes drive but worth it). The condensed was lovely. Not extra fancy but very acceptable. You can see the ocean while cooking in the kitchen! Beach times available (we didn’t use them) as a nice touch. The upstairs room have no ac and the fans do ok- but something to know before you go. Washer and dryer available. Condo has a nice pool to swim/relax in. Small soda vending area with tennis/pickle and ping pong (you’ll need your own equipment). Beds not uncomfortable, closet space available to unpack. Located close to a downtown area and coffee farms. Nice trip.

I loved being so close to the ocean and location of the area was perfect, I was not that impressed with the condo itself. The photos that I saw seemed to be gorgeous and there were hardly any towels, bedspreads were old, there was a lot of dirt on windowsill above door, fan inkitchen, I used to be in the Travel Industry and I use to do inspections and for me it was a disappointment for the money we spent. It wasn't as big as the photos showed. The front screen door was not working real well, there a lot of things that need attention so I would never stay there again. I felt like it was way more expensive than most of the other places but from the photos it looked classy and it was not. The ocean was awesome and the view.

As always, we thank each guest for their reviews! There should have been plenty of towels, and guests can always call our 24-hour local contact if something isn't right. We love the opportunity to correct things while the guest is there. This townhome is consistently competitive on price and usually cheaper than the ones around it, not sure where the guest was looking to conclude that it's more expensive. The bedspreads seem ok, but we will make sure they are clean and still servicable.

Hot as Hades

I really wanted to love this place. We were so excited driving up and walking in. This place could easily be 5-stars for the view alone if the owner would put some darn AC upstairs. For what we paid per night, no AC upstairs (where both bedrooms are) is ridiculous. We were there in late Oct/ early Nov and when we arrived, outside was cooler than upstairs. A portable AC unit would have been great. This was also one of the least clean rentals we’ve stayed in. The front load clothes washer was very moldy and stank very badly. Yuck. Pros: - The view - sunsets were amazing. - The proximity to the pool and grills. The pool was great. - We saw rays and turtles off the back porch. - The beach amenities were great - update the listing to include these. Cons: - So freaking hot. You can listen to the waves crashing all night because you’re so hot that you’re awake all night, since there’s no AC upstairs. It sounds romantic to listen to the waves crash all night until you are up all night, basking in your own sweat and not sleeping while you are tormented by the sounds of crashing waves reminding you that you can’t sleep and that you are sweating. Then you need to pee. - No ice maker or ice trays. See above. The owner does not want you to find reprieve. - No deadbolt on the front door or secondary means to lock the door - didn’t feel very safe. - Moldy washer.

Great place to stay!

We have stayed at various townhomes here over the past seven years. This unit was great! The only down tick would be that that toilet paper isn't supposed to be put in the downstairs toilet. Not sure if this is a temporary issue or not. Thank you!

Always a wonderful stay

Our fourth stay at this condo and it's wonderful. Had an issue with the key lock box but on our random 30th time trying to open it, it just popped open. Would definitely help to replace it. Clean, quiet, and always great to fall asleep to the waves crashing. Will return! Feels like home.
