Beach Front Condo (Ocean View), Best Snorkeling/Surfing.

This lovely, spacious condo at Kahalu'u Beach (Turtle Beach) has Ocean and Sunset views, and is the perfect escape for guests wanting easy access to swimming, snorkeling, surfing, paddle boarding and golfing. Ours is an unit on the ground floor in the back with views of the ocean and coastline (no stairs and away from street noise).

Our complex, the Beach Villas, is the newest development in Kailua-Kona and offers off-street parking, an infinity pool overlooking the ocean, a cozy lava rock spa, a gas barbecue and a large picnic area with tables, chairs and lounge chairs for family gatherings. The Keikei area of the Infinity Pool is great for kids to play in or simply for all to sit and sunbathe in the shallow water.

Kahalu'u Beach Park across the street is well protected by sea walls, and provides for gentle swimming and a tide pool for kids. Sea turtles and colorful fish of various species are so plentiful making this spot the snorkeling paradise in the Big Island. Immediately to the north past the swimming/snorkeling are the rolling surfs where surf boards may be rented. Guests may use the boogie boards stocked in our unit, saving the trouble of renting boards. Cooler, umbrella, beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel gears and sand toys are all available to guests without extra charges. However, to assure better fits, guests may bring their own gears.

Golfing in the Kona Country Club is only 1/2 mile down the road. Its 4 star Ocean Course offers a spectacular setting of lush, wide fairways, and the sparkling Pacific at one's feet. Its 4-1/2 star Mountain Course overlooking the ocean offers a more challenging terrain with Ancient Hawaiian rock slides running through the center. Its Vista Restaurant has a spectacular view and serves customers breakfast and lunch.

Shopping and restaurants (including the famous Sam Choy's Kai Lanai) are all within a short walking distance, making our condo a comfortable home away from home for guests.

Our condo also offers a full cooking kitchen. Costco is a convenient stop on the way from the airport where guests may stock up for groceries.

The rental was perfect for my friends and I. The kitchen was well stocked with necessary amenities. The door key code was challenging so we just used the key. Response was quick and helpful. Mornings on the lanai with coffee was a wonderful way to start the day. Some of us started our days at the beach watching the sunrise. The unit was comfortable and clean. The extras were useful- chairs, beach towels, etc. I woupd definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay

Location was great! House was comfortable, beautiful view from the outside porch, great location to stores and the ocean. The pool looked good but I'm a ocean person. Walking distance to the beach with corel and great snorkeling like the listing states. Short drive to supermarket, other stores and activities. When I had a questions, easy to ask and quick responses. Highly recommend this!

Amazing Place to Stay!

Great Snorkel Location

We stayed for the second time in this complex. The location is great just walk two minutes to great snorkeling on a lovely beach. Accommodations were great with a very comfortable 2 bedroom condo. It was fully supplied with cooking implements beach towels and comfy beds. We will return!

Great for the week

Lots of room for our family. We loved that the second room had twin beds. The location is peaceful and convenient to get around the island. There is a great view from the porch. Check in and out was super easy and the communication was great overall.

Close to shopping, the beach is right across the street, and the trolley stop is right in front of the condo complex making it easy to get to restaurants and bars. Everything was perfect!!

We loved out stay here. Great view from Lanai, enjoyed the snorkeling at the beach just steps away. Great farmer's market in the shopping center. We enjoyed having the grill for our dinners and use of the beach things.

This is our third time staying in this apartment complex, we love the proximity to kahalu’u beach. We have two small children and it's perfect for lower stress vacationing. Less time driving to destinations and more time snorkeling! Clean, comfortable, and convenient.

We had an incredible stay. The condo had absolutely everything we needed, comfortable and cozy. The snorkeling directly across the street was the best! My family lives in Laguna Beach, Southern California. My wife and I enjoy strolling along the beach taking in the fresh air and watching the beautiful seascape. I also love snorkeling, swimming among colorful tropical fish. My three sons are avid surfers and bogey boarders. They are out there catching the waves whenever they have a free moment.

While there is surf and sand in California, we love to vacation in the Big Island of Hawaii frequently because of the bluer and warmer water, the greener and lusher vegetation, the colorful tropical fish and the longer riding waves. Besides, we have many cousins throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

My son jumped at the opportunity of buying VRBO Property #731756 together with a friend when it became available in early 2014. We enjoy the snorkeling and surfing across street from the condo so much that we just bought this second unit in the small beach front complex. We now have two adjacent units at this favorite spot of ours so that our entire family can return together every year --- we never get tired of it.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

In the mornings, we wake up to enjoy the beautiful ocean view from our lanai. After having our morning cup of coffee, we gather our snorkeling gear and walk across the street to enjoy the best snorkeling spot on the island before the crowds show up. Sometime we are the only ones there and get to see the fish and turtles while the water is still pristine. After about an hour, we head back to the condo for a well deserved breakfast. Later in the afternoon after the crowds have left, we return for another round of snorkeling, surfing, or paddle boarding. There is nothing like NOT having to pack your gear, towels, food, and water; driving your car, and then looking for a parking space.
