Light and airy cottage with high ceilings and special King sized brass bed. You will enjoy this comfortable retreat with views of mountains and Hendersonville Country Club. If you need additional space The Garden Cottage (Property 990033) is located on the same property.

Helping Henderson's Homeless - 5% of your rental fee goes to feeding and providing rescue care for the homeless in Henderson County.

ACCESSIBILITY
Please make note, the access to this property requires climbing approximately 30 uneven stone stairs. It is NOT accessible for those with limited mobility. It is NOT handicap friendly. The deck is NOT safe for small children to be left unintended.

Private "Guest Cottage" located in a small, private mountain community called Laurel Park, 5 minutes south-west of historic downtown Hendersonville, 25 minutes to Asheville Regional airport, 40 minutes to the gates of Biltmore Estate, 30 minutes to Dupont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest.
Less than 2.5 miles by car to Historic Downtown Hendersonville; 8 minutes to Flat Rock, only approximately 35 minutes south of downtown Asheville, 15 minutes to Asheville Regional airport, and 40 minutes to the gates of Biltmore Estate. You are also an easy 20 minutes from Biltmore Park shopping and the Asheville Outlets.

This cozy cottage is a 1-Bedroom retreat, nestled within the mountain town of Laurel Park, with easy access to top restaurants, shopping outdoor activities, swimming, hiking & more!
The Woodlands Cottage is a popular cottage for couples due to generous accommodation and deck with views of mountains and Hendersonville Country Club. The cottage offers a secluded feeling, natural setting, outdoor space, but also within minutes of Downtown Hendersonville & Historic Flat Rock.
The Cottage was a 1940's one-room log cabin built as a servants quarters as part of this 3 home property (see The Garden Cottage, VRBO # 990033). The Woodlands Cottage was added onto with a large bedroom, a modern bathroom and an exterior deck. The cottage has been recently re-decorated and refurbished.
You are just minutes from America's favorite scenic byway, The Blue Ridge Parkway, Dupont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest. Enjoy motorcycle touring, biking, hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lining, or just about any outdoor activity! Or, take a quick ride to downtown Hendersonville to enjoy the first-rate restaurants, shopping, galleries, spas, and unique shopping and festivals.

We had a perfect anniversary trip at the Woodland Cottage! Unlike other ā€œsmall cozyā€ get-away rentals weā€™ve stayed in, the cottage was exactly as pictured and described. Immaculately clean and simply but tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of extra pillows and blankets. To be such a small cottage the bedroom was huge and included a comfy loveseat. We enjoyed the deck and the beautiful view of Godā€™s creation. Although you had no control over the weather we were blessed with beautiful sunshiny days. We enjoyed downtown Hendersonville and the surrounding area; took several hikes. We had everything that we needed to make our stay special. Thank you for making this ā€œlittle gemā€ a home-away-from-home for our stay!

Given the great number and variety of VRBOs in this area (our favorite region), we rarely repeat-visit a property. The Woodlands Cottage is worth revisiting, thanks to the convenient location and comfortable amenities. We even spotted a white squirrel nearby!

Eclipse Getaway

We made a last minute switch from Jonesboro AR to Hendersonville NC for the eclipse...weather uncertainty and a shorter drive :). Hendo is our go-to destination to get away from Florida and this trip was another good one, including the lovely Woodlands Cottage. It was just as advertised, convenient to our favorite places, great king bed, great deck, and wonderful owners. They have a fabulous property with TWO rentals, both super cute, and they're great with communication. One inconsistency: the pictured toaster oven was replaced by a regular (albeit fancy) toaster. But we weren't visiting to eat-in!

Very comfy property

Great place for short stay. Heat and air, TV service, and shower all working great. Small kitchen nook and no stove, but wasn't a problem for me. Kinda tough hike up to the cottage with heavy suitcase, but the mountain view there is really something! Thanks for the accommodations!

Perfect

First of all the scenery was gorgeous, but more importantly the house was perfect. It was comfortable, clean and had everything you would need. The bed was super comfy. There was a lot of kitchen equipment and supplies. There was even a grill. I especially loved all the storage so I could unpack everything. The balcony was the best part. The owners asked several times if we needed anything. As I said before it was perfect.

the cottage is adorable and very clean, my partner and i had a great time! the owners live onsite and were very accommodating. even though we had some trouble with the lock batteries not working, we still felt safe.

Hendersonville holiday

Bob and Georgina are kind, generous hosts. They were quick to offer fresh towels and linens during our stay even after only a few days. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The grill on the front porch was perfect for grilling after a long day of hiking. All their helpful tips on dining, hiking and tours were spot on and so appreciated. We felt so welcome, it was like staying with friends!

The perfect getaway!

Everything was perfect - extremely clean, comfortable and accommodating. Beautiful property and super convenient to downtown Hendersonville and several local wineries that we enjoyed. We also really enjoyed hiking the nearby DuPont State Forrest. We met Georgina briefly - super friendly and kind. We appreciate the hospitality! :)

Georgina and Bob Winslow moved to Hendersonville from Texas in 2015. Georgina loves to garden, and has created a new garden adjacent to The Garden Cottage. It is still a work in progress but she is happy to be in an environment which reminds her of growing up in England. You might see her weeding, watering and planning her next project. Gardening suggestions, thoughts and ideas are always welcome! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do, and that you can take time to wander around and make yourself at home, enjoy the views or sit quietly on the garden bench with a book. Georgie also is a volunteer gardener for the Flat Rock Playhouse.

Bob is a website designer mainly for Christian churches and ministries. He works from home located on the property. We attend, and are active at, Biltmore Church in Hendersonville.

Georgie also is a volunteer gardener for the Flat Rock Playhouse.

Bob is a website designer mainly for Christian churches and ministries. He works from home and offices in the Woodlands Cottage also located on the property. We attend, and are active at, Biltmore Church in Hendersonville.
