Not close to anything really, it's a 20usd cab fare to get downtown, so be prepared for that. Bugs (Ants) fell from the ceiling often. A glass pane broke and wasn't replaced while we were there. But it was spacious and the pool was nice.

Very beautiful

It was a literal paradise staying here! Loved the feel of the whole villa. Beautiful decor, very spacious, comfortable bedding and seating, had all the necessities, lovely pool, and had the most amazing view and access to the beach. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Can we get married here?

My fiancé and I stayed in this lovely condo for a week. It was clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials we needed. The sunrise from the pier was the most magical time for us! We saw manatees, dolphin, stings rays. From the villa, you can easily walk to the grocery store and it was very easy to get a taxi to town when you wanted. Concierge and property manager were responsive and helpful. We loved our stay here so much, we are hoping Beachside Villas will let us get married here!

Cute but...

The condo is pretty, away from the downtown area, well cared for, nice upper deck with cool winds off the beach. The Belizean cuisine is wonderful and the local people are very friendly. If you are looking for a place to stay with beautiful beaches Placencia is not your place. The beaches are dirty with trash, including the one in front of the condo. We needed to take excursions to Laughing Bird Caye and Nohoch Che'en for pristine beaches and rainforests.

Villa was clean and pool was lovely. There were nice restaurants in walking distance on the beach. Strongly recommend renting a car. Placencia was a great rustic town with authentic food! The weather was not optimal-very windy and there was limited visibility for snorkeling. Apparently, this is not typical!

Renovated condo with delightful natural light and spacious feel. Panoramic views over the swimming pool and Caribbean Sea. Excellent housekeeping service. Beachside Villas is a gem of an option for self catering on the Placencia Riviera but there are several interesting restaurants within walking distance. You do not have all the constraints of staying at a resort but you are in proximity to several resorts. Quite the best of both worlds.

Beautiful view

Property was beautiful. Jose was very helpful and he was always there. We couldn’t get anyone to clean our room we were there for 16 day. I got the bedding changed one day but I had to pay for it. I have never been anywhere where I couldn’t have a change of towels at least every 3 days. We went for 16 days with 3 towels each could not get wash clothes! Again it was Beautiful view needs work on management!!!!!

Placencia Beachside Villas Vacasa

The property is spacious. In addition to the king size bed in the bedroom, there is a futon and a window seat/twin bed in the living room. The rooms were very nicely laid out, fortunately we have been to Placencia and knew to bring extra blankets for the cook evenings. We’re so glad we did, since there were no extra blankets in the condo. We were in room 22 and had a nice view straight out to the ocean and directly below to the pool. Having the Large balcony was definitely a plus. We found that the WiFi code in the short booklet of house rules was incorrect, but we were able to get into WiFi using the placard that had the correct WiFi code. We were also provided with an incorrect code for the lockbox, however the correct code was provided with in a few minutes by a man that was onsite.

Tropical heaven

We stayed 12 days at Beachside and already plan on returning. The unit was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, fabulous deep porch! Units do vary in porch size so look at the photos. This one was deep and in the shade during the afternoon, perfect. A breeze blew everyday and we never once turned on the AC, the ceiling fans were all that was needed. Kitchen is well laid out, although could use some better utensils (the knives were dull and useless). One major con was the wi-fi was spotty, weak and useless for most of our stay. They are aware of the issue but seem disinclined to update it. In today’s world with check ins, confirmations and such, being without internet is pretty difficult. Example, we booked several local tours that required online waivers signed; it was literally impossible to open and sign anything. They need to fix this ASAP. But overall the place is well run, obviously well taken care of and we were very happy.

Terrible Property Management

This is a nice property; clean, well-laid out with a great pool and good beach access. Unfortunately for two of the three days we stayed there the hot water had been shut off to our room and was never re-opened. Moreover, early on the last day, the local power company cut electricity to much of the local area, so no water, electricity or anything prior to departure. Awesome way to prepare for an airport departure and long trip home (NOT!). Like many of the local hotels and rental accommodations in the area, this property has an electricity generator on site. As near as we could determine (and hear!) every adjacent property in the area started up their generators in order to provide uninterrupted support, service and electricity to paying customers. Not so much for the customer service / property management team at this property. Reaching out multiple times to the unresponsive customer service telephone numbers that accompanied our check-in took a dozen calls over 4 different numbers provided. When we finally did get ahold of an ‘acting’ property manager / customer service rep they, in no way, stepped up to address the issues and declined to assume any responsibility whatsoever. This was our first time to use a Vacasa residence. It will most likely be the last. Very disrespectful of paying customer and terrible customer service on the part of the property’s management team.

Wonderful stay

Wonderful place for rest, relaxation and a beautiful view. Breathtaking scene of the ocean and sunrise each morning out the front windows and off the balcony. Very quiet and serene.

Perfect family weekend

Lovely rooms! We booked a 2-night stay and had a blast. To our surprise, we didn't need to have any contact with the administrative staff. When we got there, our keys were in the security box and the code was emailed and WhatsApped to us. The rooms were spacious with AC, hot and cold shower, and a fully functional kitchen. This is definitely the place for us to stay in Placencia.
