Honey Haus on the Horseshoe awaits and is ready to comfortably host your next friends or family Hill Country getaway. This home is perched high above the clear waters of the Guadalupe, directly across the river from Whitewater Amphitheater, Texas's premier outdoor music venue. A newly built staircase allows easy access to the refreshing river water below. Honey Haus gives you the choice to attend the upcoming concert with ease, or see and hear loud and clear from your private backyard... or perhaps a little of each!

The backyard offers spacious surroundings and ample seating, where you can kick back, relax, and take in the show. Who else can say they had a 'backstage pass' to the concert which also allowed them to grill up a steak, kick their feet up, and maybe even enjoy the backyard fire pit at the same time? S'mores anyone?

Inside, you'll find a newly remodeled, tastefully decorated home, ready to comfortably host your friends and family... and don't forget about some much deserved R & R for yourself! There are two spacious living areas, perfect for creating a little division between the adults and kids. The beautifully updated kitchen has seating at the bar and additional seating on the back porch. The first bedroom has a cozy king bed, the second hosts a queen bed, and the large third bedroom houses a king bed, queen bed, bunk bed, and futon with room to spare.

With all there is to see, do, and enjoy at the home, don't forget that Honey Haus is conveniently located near several local attractions:

Fun Stay

Enjoyed the property. Great treehouse feel being above river. Great backyard outdoor area. Would be nice if there were some outdoor games included like cornhole or other. Bunk bed mattresses could be upgraded - too soft even for my kids. Master bedroom does not have its own bathroom which would be nice when you have a family. Thanksgiving rate was high due to the holiday but think a bit high for the accomodations layout. Interior very well decorated with decor extras for the fall season. Secluded and cozy.

Family River Get-A-Way

This location was the best spot on the river. It is right where there are little rapids and my kids spent all day in their tubes on them. The outdoor area is perfect. So many places to sit and enjoy being outside with family with lot's of shade. House has everything you could need. The kids enjoyed the house so much they are already asking to go back. Kids living room is separate from Adults which was perfect. I could go on and on, but book this house! You won't regret it!!

Best Home Base for Whitewater Amphitheater

Came to town to see Willie at Whitewater, and Honey Haus was an ace-primo location! We walked to the venue in less than five minutes and the following night got to watch the show again from the amazing ambience of the sprawling back deck! Kids enjoyed the tire swing and wading in the river. Voodoo Coffee truck just a stone's throw walking distance was an unexpected perque, too! The home was cute and clean and met our needs perfectly.

Best House Yet

This is our 4th trip to the Canyon lake/ Guadalupe river/ New Braunfels area. Having a family of 7 plus extended family means we have rented houses or condos every time. Honey Haus was by far the sweetest one we have stayed at. Spectacular location and great home. I hope we can rent it every time for our future vacations.

Great River House!

We spent 4 days at Honey Haus and enjoyed every minute of it!! The house itself is very comfortable and has everything you need for a nice stay. The two living areas makes it nice for adults and kids to have their own spaces. Comfortable beds, nice linens and a well stocked kitchen. Outside has plenty of seating and the deck over the river is beautiful! We got to sit out and hear the Billy Currington concert! The location makes it easy to walk up the river and float back to the house if you don't want to do a long float. It's a great place to hang out in the water or just watch all the floaters go by. It is definitely my favorite river house and we will be back for sure!!

Great River Home / Best Deck on the River!

Plenty of room. Great spaces inside and out. Stocked with everything you need for an extended weekend with friends. Perfect location! Highly Recommend.

Excellent location but smells like mold

We initially planned to stay at the house for 3 nights. However, we had to leave early because we couldn’t eep in the house as the bedrooms smell like mold. We are not very sensitive, and have stayed at many VRBO places in the past including this area. However, the air in this house is very moldy and smells very bad, especially the bedroom with 4 beds in it. The backyard is beautiful and the direct access to the lake is awesome. But if good sleep is important, I wouldn’t recommend staying at this property. Not sure if they had any water damage that was not repaired or what, but we couldn’t breathe all the smell anymore and left.

Awesome home

We had a great time at the honey haus! Kids had their own space, adults did too. We enjoyed the fire pit and grilling out back. Fishing in the river was a lot of fun too. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. We loved the local eateries in canyon lake and gruene. We made memories and will be back for more hopefully soon.

Girls Trip at Honey Haus

Perfect place to have a girls trip! If you ever watched the HGTV Show 'Inside Out', this hose was a perfect example. Both were beyond our expectations and highly recommend if you want to catch up with each other, relax, laugh and make wonderful memories! The island in kitchen was a perfect place to make a charcuterie to snack on all day!

Amazing house & location

We had a great time at the Honey Hause!! The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed for our end of the summer vacation with our kids :) I actually stayed here a few weeks before with a big group of guys for a bachelor party and enjoyed it do much booked a family vacation.. the back yard is AMAZING and has access to the end of the river rapids so our kids had a blast.. definitely looking forward to booking the house again next summer!

Honey Haus stay

Great house, great location. The house must be very well insulated, stayed cool even in July! The shop fan on the porch was a plus, I always pack one to an Air BNB, but didn't need mine here. There's no trick photography with the scenery on this property, it is as magnificent as it looks in the pictures!! Will definitely look to book here again!

Perfect Location

The house and location are perfect! The backyard is beautiful and a perfect spot on the water to just sit and hang out. We floated once and spent the rest of the time hanging out on the river people watching and having a blast. I did fail to to notice you can only have 3 cars and 10 people at all times so it is hard to have friends renting at other locations to come by and hang out. So be sure to let them know ahead of time if you will have more people. My one and only issue was with the property management team coming in the property without our knowledge! They came and grabbed the trash on the patio and put the cans on the curb which is fine but we had no idea. Some of us were on the water and the others were sleeping. The sleeping were my children which are over 18 but this Momma was still freaked out by this. And when I called to ask about it the situation was blown off.

This house is amazing! Incredible location on the river. Walk to a concert at Whitewater OR take it in on the top deck, middle deck or sitting in the river right behind the stage! Plenty of room. Great amenities. Great communication with host. Would definitely rent again!!!

Perfect spot

Weekend guys trip. Been a while since I had been to Née Braunfels. Great location and rooms were all very accommodating to our needs. Minus food the property has all you need on site so no need to bring a lot of extra other than maybe your favorite pillow (house does have pillows) and towels for the river. Outdoor space is excellent and stairs are convenient for river access. Short walk or drive to the start of the horseshoe and rental spots if you are looking to float. Already looking at making a trip for 2023.

Paradise on Earth

Our second time staying at this beautiful Hill Country get away. The home is incredible, the location is perfect and the views are breathtaking. Perfect for friends and family.
