Welcome to the Horseshoe River Haus! A Beautiful home on the Guadalupe River with a patio and large back yard to enjoy the river, sit back and relax with a cool drink (Beverage of your choice) under the 100-year-old cypress trees. With direct and private river access you’ll want to spend your afternoons tubing, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming or simply relaxing.

The 3 bedroom, 2 bath house is perfect for families and friends to enjoy. Walk on over to Whitewater Amphitheatre for a concert or drive a short way down the road to Gruene Hall to hear your favorite band. A little further down the road you can visit historic Wimberley, Texas to do some hill country shopping and wine tasting.

Location Location Location

This is our second year to stay at Horseshoe River Haus & it didn't disappoint. The location of this house along with the cleanliness & large covered back porch is what makes it our #1 choice when we visit Canyon Lake. We love that we are able to access the river from our dock as well as walk to Whitewater for concerts. The kitchen is pretty well stocked. The beds & linens are clean & comfortable. We are already planning to book again for 2025!!

Making memories with Friends

This house is so spacious in the perfect spot. Private river access was amazing. We enjoyed the large covered patio playied corn hole (provided), and relaxed on the river. We were Walking distance to Whitewater for a concert. This house has everything you need and want. We will definitely rent again.

Slice of heaven

We come to the river every year and will definitely be coming back here. Perfect location. Great house, clean. Patio with fans and sun shades is clutch when the sun is high. Walked right down to the river and tied tubes up, and sat on the deck with tunes playing. An absolutely amazing place. Can’t wait to come back.

First ever trip to the river!

Geat location, house was clean and in good condition, AC worked fantastic. The walk down to the river is the biggest negative. Several steps and turns and trails to get there. If you have difficulty climbing or are unsteady on your feet, I would not recomend this location.

Clean house, perfect location, great ownership!

My friends and I rented this property to float the river and visit the Whitewater Amphitheater. It was the PERFECT place!! Walking distance to the tube rental place and concert venue. It was a beautiful, clean neighborhood for a nice morning walk as well. Close to gas stations, restaurants, and a grocery store as well. On top of everything else, the check-in process was easy and the house was extremely clean and spacious! I look forward to recommending this property to others, as well as visiting again! Thank you to Peggy and her family for a wonderful experience! :) :)

Family Vacation......

We enjoyed our visit to the area. The location is exactly what we were looking for. The home has a dock however, there is also a side gate that takes you directly to the steps of the public entrance into the river. The stairs going the dock is a bit steep and getting into the river from the dock is not necessarily easy, however, it was no big deal since we had the side gate to the public steps. We had tubes, so she were able to float the river numerous times and had a short walk back to the house, without having to drive anywhere. We were also able to fish under the bridge, where my son caught his limit of rainbow trout. The owner was very helpful and the check in process was super easy! We would definitely stay again.

Perfect House, Perfect Location

Every summer my husband & I gather with our friends to float a Texas favorite...float the Guadalupe. We have friends that live in Kentucky that fly down as well as the rest of us live in North Texas & East Texas. Every year I try to find a better house than the year before & this year, Horseshoe River Haus did NOT disappoint!! It literally is the first house on the horseshoe & within walking distance to Whitewater. Location alone makes this house the best house we've stayed in. The large porch was where we all hung out in the evenings mostly because they have pull down shades which protected us from the sun's rays. Inside, the house was very clean & spacious. The kitchen had many amenities, good large refrigerator & plenty of counter space. The bedrooms stayed nice & cold with good clean linens & mattresses. The bathrooms had good water pressure as well as updated fixtures. We had 8 adults & we had plenty of space. The owner was awesome to work with & answered any questions we had. We will definitely be back to Horseshoe River Haus!!

Great River Trip

My friends and I rented this house for our yearly river trip. This house is great, very clean, has everything you need and has beautiful outdoor areas. We thoroughly enjoyed the direct river access and being the first house at the horseshoe, convenient to jump right on and walk back. I highly recommend this rental, this house is awesome!

Perfect Getaway

We rented the house to celebrate family birthdays. The house was perfect. Spacious, clean, comfortable beds, had all the amenities we needed and an ideal location - the very beginning of the Horseshoe Float. Drop in at the backyard, float the shoe and short walk back to the house (less than a mile) from the exit at Whitewater. Or just swim right off the dock. The river section here is deep and slow flowing. All the appliances worked, and the outdoor grill was clean. We were thankful for the porch ceiling fans and large patio table. Over 5 stars!! We will definitely look to book this for future trips.

We are family owned and operated. This is our first time renting the house to tourists. We love this house because of the location on the Horseshoe. It has been a dream come true to enjoy this home on the Guadalupe.

We bought this house because of the many memorable times our family has spent floating the Horseshoe over the last 20 years. We all get together and float down the Guadalupe. The ability to walk back to the house, restock your cooler and go for another float is so enjoyable.
