Clean comfortable Studio in the Shawnee Forest. 700+ sq feet with full bath and fully stocked kitchen. King bed, full bed, and set of bunks for sleeping. Large flat screen television, recliners and couch in the living area, with sliding doors that lead out to the wrap around porch. There is a charcoal grill or a fire pit with a grill if you prefer to cook over wood.
Studio sits on 40 acres, shared with 2 other rentals and our personal residence. There are mowed walking paths throughout. Stocked fishing pond with sand beach and lounge chairs. A hammock sits in the pines across the pond.
We are pet friendly and there is a friendly beagle, Waylon, that roams the property.
We are located in the middle of nowhere and a 30 minute beautiful drive from many attractions

This was our second time staying here and it did not disappoint it is clean and even has all the amenities that you need. The owners are so nice and prompt when you have any questions. My husband and I needed a weekend away without WiFi to just enjoy each other and this place was just that. We will be back for sure.

Away from it all!

This place was just what we were looking for! The remote location was so peaceful, yet was close to so much the Shawnee area has to offer. We hiked some of the beautiful trails and made the short drive to Metropolis and Paducah. We're already talking about what we want to do next time! This studio served as the perfect home base and had everything we needed. It's also a wonderful place for relaxing with a good book on the deck or by the pond. Definitely recommend.

Family vacation

This was an excellent family vacation with our children and grandchildren. The cabins were beautiful and perfect accommodations for all of us. The family loved fishing and swimming in the pond at the end of a day hiking and biking the trails in the different forests. Found a local photographer that did family pictures of our family in a park by the waterfall and lake. Absolutely perfect vacation in this amazing VRBO. We recommend this location to everyone and we will be back.

I can't recommend this property enough. There are three cabins to rent on the property plus their home. The pond is kind of situated in the middle and it was perfect for our kids and dogs. Our cabin (the studio option) was exactly what we wanted. The beds were comfortable, it was clean, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook/cook out over the camp fire. We used the charcoal grill one evening and we loved sitting on the back deck watching our kiddos play. Tommie was more than accommodating and made us feel right at home. It does seem a bit off "the beaten path" but it just depends what your plans are. We went to Dixon Springs State Park, Lake Glendale, Hogg Hollow Winery and the Chocolate Factory, all within reasonable distance. I felt safe and comfortable our entire stay and would recommend again and again. We can't wait for our next free span of a few days to come hang out and Shawnee Pines again!
