Blue Sargasso is a very comfortable 3 bedroom/3 bath cottage one block from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean on Man O War, Abacos, Bahamas. Our home has a wrap around porch to relax on after enjoying the Abacos. We also installed 20 solar panels for power. Also included are WIFI, A/C, backup generator, washer, outdoor grill, and porch sitting areas. Man O war is famous for boat building, great food, gorgeous beaches and harbors, fishing, and slow-paced island living. MOW is a wonderful community with friendly people, incredible boat builders, Community Museum with a Bakery, fully stocked grocery, multiple locals that prepare meals out of their homes, 3 churches, oceanfront baseball field, fantastic beaches and harbor, boat rentals, golf cart rentals, gift shops, custom sail bags, and much much more. Local protected Fowl Cay is a wonderful place for snorkeling, diving, and relaxing. Hopetown is a short boat ride away with the famous Hopetown Lighthouse. Come visit to swim in the beautiful water, enjoy the local company, and fish the pristine waters.

Such fun!

Blue Sargasso is the ideal vacation rental. Beautiful, comfortable home with all the amenities you would want. Close to the beach, close to the dock where we parked our boat. Close to stores. All six of us loved it!

Family Fun in MOW

This was our second year in a row in MOW, but first time staying at Blue Sargasso. The location is great because its both close to the beach and close to the settlement. Our children (8,6,3) always love our trips to the Abacos and the Blue Sargasso was very comfortable for the whole family. Mady and Dave were great help as well.

Awesome Man-O-War cottage!!!!

Awesome little Man-O-war cottage!! We loved every minute of our stay and the quiet little island! Blue Sargasso was conveniently located to the marina, grocery store, and the ocean. The house was very clean and equipt with everything we couldā€™ve possibly needed during our stay. We will definitely go back again! Thanks Darlene and Jimmy!!

The house was beautiful,comfortable and well supplied with dishes cookware etc.Location was close enough to the ocean to be easily accessable. Our hostess was so helpful letting us know what to bring.Tth caretakers were very helpful once we got there.Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again

Quiet and Welcoming

we loved our time at this house! it is well taken care of and any issues we ran into were tended to immediately. M-O-W is a quieter island but we really liked that particularly given how much we heard about crime related issues on other islands. Not here! everyone knows everyone and it felt very safe. Would definitely rent again

Blue Sargasso... Wonderful!

Blue Sargasso was amazing. Even better than advertised. The owners have thought of everything. Man O War has a unique laid back lifestyle. The house is fully stocked with all the necessities and more. It's perfect for 2 people or 6 people. There's even a sweet cat that greets you on the porch daily. All you need to pack for a trip here is your bathing suit. My family would DEFINITELY vacation here again.

Wonderful place to stay

This was our 7th year going to Man-O-Way and we loved staying here and especially since it has 3 bedrooms. Enjoyed the game room every night. Was a close walk to every where. Very clean and well maintained. Will definitely stay here again. So fun to snorkel, swim, kayak and walk around to the shops and restaurants (especially the Hibiscus Cafe). The Coffee Shop is a great addition. Enjoyed breakfast there a few mornings. Everyone is friendly and enjoyed visiting with lots of people. Rented a boat and went over to Hope Town to the Lighthouse, then Tahiti Beach, then Mermaid Reef at Marsh Harbour. Can't wait to go back again.

Perfect Getaway!

Clean, Charming cottage with nice open floor plan, felt both spacious and cozy! Obviously newly renovated and nicely furnished. Unique spot with friendly local residents, uncrowded beach, good fishing and great snorkeling. Nice local restaurant and well stocked grocery within walking distance..more good restaurants, sites, and shopping a short and pleasant water ride away. Can't wait to go back! Would highly recommend.

Blue sargasso is the perfect Man if War retreat

Blue Sargasso was the perfect Abaco/Man o War retreat for our long weekend getaway. We appreciated the central location mid island for exploring on foot. It is a comfortable historic cottage with great ā€œbonesā€ and has been thoughtfully renovated to maintain the traditional with a contemporary design. The kitchen is well stocked, open, spacious, and connected to the porch for outdoor grilling and fish frys. The bedroom suites both upstairs and downstairs support privacy for couples and/or families. Furnishings are minimalistic and artwork reflective of island life. The large wrap around porch is itā€™s best asset as it can accessed from every room and creates that special connection to experience nature and community that we adore, especially on this tiny island chocked full of beauty and local culture. We enjoyed our quiet early ā€œcoffeeā€ mornings as friendly locals on golf carts waved their good mornings- And, then ā€œcocktail afternoonsā€ while golden sunsets receded in the distance- the quintessential backdrop for retelling the days events in between-as conch diving, snorkeling, and island exploring. We will be back to Blue Sargasso, but for a much longer stay, and we will bring our family and friends. Thank you to the owners who obviously understand the essence of island living and created this lovely and comfortable retreat!

The Blue Sargasso Cottage was beautiful. Very spacious. Well equipped. We felt right at home.

Everything about this house was great. The decor is beautiful., very livable. We had more than plenty of space for our group of 4adults and two children. The kids loved the second floor living area . The kitchen is stocked with everything thing you would need. The yard is very tropical. Beautiful plants . We totally enjoyed the use of the golf cart. Man-O-War is the neatest island and the people are warm and friendly. We rented a boat from Water Ways and Jay Sands . He was so helpful . My grandchildren loved snorkeling in the waters all over Abaco in our 6 day visit. Mady the caretaker of Blue Sargasso went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and fun.

The Blue Sargasso Cottage exceded our expectations.

When we arrived on Man-O-War Cay we found our reserved boat slip easily & our golf cart was waiting for us at the head of the dock. Within minutes of our arrival, Dave the caretaker, showed up to assist us with our luggage and supplies. Throughout our stay we found him to be friendly, very competent and happy to share his local knowledge of the island with us. The Cottage is even better than the photos on VRBO showed. It is very clean, beautifully decorated and well maintained. The wrap around porch with comfy seating, swings and hammocks is a great place to relax. The gourmet kitchen is stocked with everything imaginable for easy food prep and serving, including a new, top of the line dishwasher for easy clean up. In fact, all of the appliances appear to be new and top of the line. The furnishings are comfortable, clean and attractive with plenty of lighting for reading. The beds are comfortable with quality linens and pillows. The baths are large, beautifully decorated and well stocked with basic supplies & quality linens. The upstairs suite has a cozy TV and gaming nook complete with lots of books, board games and videos. The WiFi is fast & available throughout the Cottage including the porches. The golf cart is well maintained and made exploring the town and island a fun adventure. The Cottage is located within a block of the Atlantic Ocean. The beautiful turquoise waters and white sand beaches are perfect for beachcombing and sunrise watching. When you stay at this property, you won't be disappointed. Our whole family enjoyed our stay at the Blue Sargasso Cottage and look forward to returning in the future.

My husband has been coming to the Abacos, since his teenage years. His parents owned a home on Elbow Cay. My first visit was in 1992 and he proposed on top of the Hopetown Lighthouse. Unfortunately in 1995 Hurricane Floyd took the family home. We visited other destinations, islands, and countries along the way, but the Abacos kept calling us. We fell in love with MOW ( The Promise Land) and decided to return as homeowners of Blue Sargasso Cottage.

We love to spend most of our time in the boat. We also wanted to become a part of the community, so it made sense to us to have a home one block from the beautiful pristine beach and a few blocks from the harbor. We love to cook, sit on the wrap around porch reading books, visit with the neighbors, and go for a walk on the beach.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

Our home did really well with Hurricane Dorian. We are fortunate to have 20 solar panels with an inverter for power ( along with BPL and a generator as backup). We have 2 split units and a central A/C. More importantly, we have wonderful neighbors and exceptional caretakers, that have become family.
