Jolly Rogers has been totally restored from hurricane Dorian. 3 Master KING Bedrooms with ensuite shower baths and 1 room with Queen and Bunk beds with a shared tub bath. Each King room has a full length mirror and all bathrooms are equipped with blow dryers and night lights. The extra large Porch with partial covering allows for shade and sun overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and has steps down to one of the most beautiful beaches in the Bahamas. Great room has stunning cathedral ceilings and a wall of windows providing a sunrise spectacular to start your day! Ocean Views are available from EVERY room in the home! Gourmet kitchen equipped with Keurig coffee maker (single or carafe size k cups are provided to fill with loose coffee or bring your k cups along), 4 slice toaster, Ninja blender, crockpot, air fryer, Dishwasher, All new stainless appliances , Arctic cups, springform pan, cookie sheets, filtered water pitcher, extra large pot, colanders, and more! Kitchen island seating for 5 and beautiful locally built table seats 8. Home is equipped with extra large automatic generator in case of island power outages. Central Air condition and ceiling fans in every room. Comfortable seating in living room with 2 couches and a 49" TV. Blu-Ray player with streaming capabilities and numerous dvds provided. WIFI service.Lots of board games and cards. The Jolly Rogers is located a 15 minute beachside walk or a 5 minute golf cart ride from world famous Nippers beach bar voted top 3 beach bar in the Caribbean. We are also convenient to Grabbers beach bar, Captain Kidds Cove Tiki bar and Sunsetters Restaurant. Nippers, Grabbers and Sunsetters have pools available to cool off , or grab a complimentary paddle board or kayak at Grabbers while enjoying lunch. The Abacos are famous for its beautiful reefs which can be accessed right outside your door or charters and boat rentals are available in town. We are a short boat ride from famous swimming pigs and you can charter a trip to swim with sharks, rays and turtles! We have rented in the Abacos for 25 years and settled on Great Guana Cay as our absolute favorite among the islands. We built our home with all of our favorite aspects of every rental home we frequented and feel that we have provided everything you need to enjoy a vacation you will never forget. Our hope is that you leave the island loving it as much as we do and that we will see you back year after year.

Our experience started shorly after booking when we received an email from the property owner with a TON of helpful tips. It continued when we were greated by the caretaker who escorted us to the house and showed us around. The house was even nicer in person than in the pictures. It truly had everything we needed, including some things we didn't even think of. If that wasn't enough, walking out onto the deck and seeing that view?? Stunning! I only wosh we had stayed longer!!

The entire home needs a 're-do.' All kitchen utensils need to be replaced, all plastic glasses (yuk) - no wine glasses, pots and pans with handles that are about to break off - dangerous - replace tea towels - refrigerator that didn't make ice - entire interior disgusting - stove that does not heat correctly - sheets that didn't fit the bed and came off during the night - lights that did not work and had to be replaced - and imagine finding someone else's contact in your bathroom. The amount they charged is outrageous compared to the condition of the property.

Great Stay at Jolly Roger on Great Guana Cay

Our family of five adults had a great week. Ocean front, close to Grabbers and Nippers, gorgeous ocean view. Jackie met us for an easy check-in. Dive Guana is the best for golf cart rentals.

Home was lovely with high ceilings and a wonderful view of the ocean! The electricity went off on island one day but we hardly noticed because the generator kicked in automatically and we kept cool and had all the electricity we needed. Beach chairs were appreciated! Home had spices which helped with cooking. Having 4 en suite bathrooms was wonderful!

Beautiful place

This house is exactly as advertised. Four nice big bedrooms each with its own clean and modern bath. Beautiful views of the Atlantic side from the front two and side views from the back two. The beach is gorgeous with soft white sand. Entry into the water through the reef is a little tricky. Even more so in rough conditions. Guana Cay is SMALL. Both ends of the Island are private so don't expect to go far unless you rent a boat or take a ferry. The house itself does not disappoint and the sunrise views each morning are priceless. We were lucky to get the moonrise also. We loved our stay.

What a great house and even better owner/caretaker

Melanie the owner, was fantastic and provided the best communication and advice to get to and from the island. Upon our arrival, Jackie the caretaker took over and provided everything we needed to get to and from the dock to the house. In my opinion, Jackie went way beyond expectations, and we deeply appreciated her care and if you get the chance try her rum cake! The house did not disappoint, and the beach was pretty much ours every day! The house was well stocked and had air conditioning and fans that kept us comfortable all day. You'll need to rent a golf cart, so make sure you do as soon as you can. There is a well-stocked store on the island that had everything we needed but we still stop at the store in Marsh Harbour before we got on the ferry. Prices on GGC are high, so whatever you can get on MHH and carry over that will ease cost a little. I set up Taxi service from MHH with Joseph and Susan Knowles and he and his wife were fantastic! It was great having his help getting to and from the airport and he was always on time and provided so much help, and he took us to the liquor, pharmacy and grocery store before our ferry...He is a must have! All in all...great trip, house was great, and the people were even better. True pleasure!

Beautiful home, perfect for our family

We were very happy with this property! The view and the beach are spectacular and super private. My only reason for a 4-star rating on the location is that we love to snorkel and would've enjoyed being closer to the reef. We had one issue with the a/c not working, but Jackie got on it and got it fixed right away! Only suggestion for the kitchen would be a simple coffee maker. We used the french press but it was time consuming for our 5 coffee drinkers.

Owner and property manager were both very helpful leading up to and during our stay. Property is very nice and well appointed for the 4 couples that stayed. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing place

I have stayed in Guana many times and this property has been the best one. Unbelievable location. On the water with the beach downstairs. The property was clean and everything that you would need is there. The property manager Jackie met us at the dock and helped us with whatever we needed. She was extremely helpful and friendly. Would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!!

perfect place. only issue is the water pressure. i understand the value of water in the abacos, but the tanks were all full so 9K gallons of water and the pressure was so weak the soap was impossible to remove from our bodies. the outside shower had pressure so we would rinse off downstairs

Spellbinding

Jolly Rogers is positioned perfectly on a small bluff above the ocean, the views are spectacular and access to the ocean is easy and dramatic, there is something so lovely about the way the stairway leads you down to the ocean. Every detail, including design, layout and decor was well thought out. The bedrooms and bathrooms are private, all with gorgeous views. The great room with kitchen, dining and living flowed beautifully and again, the view, spectacular. We walked to Nippers via the beach and to Grabbers via the road. Both walks were beautiful and easy. We rented golf carts from Dive Guana and used them to explore the island, pick up groceries, liquor, ice and water, all are located less than ten minutes from the home, but miles away, in terms of privacy and bustle. We spent a wonderful day with Dive Guanaā€™s, Captain Anthony, that included snorkeling on the north reef, feeding rays, sharks and pigs, swimming in a horseshoe shaped crystal clear cove, and eating at a fantastic little place called Pineappleā€™s (have the strawberry daiquiri). Our best memories though, came from the time we spent on the beach in front of Jolly Rogerā€™s, bobbing in the swells, body surfing on the waves, snorkeling and sea glass hunting. White powder sand, turquoise water, pink sunsets, dramatic sunrises, an experience you will never forget. Jolly Rogers is definitely the kind of place that makes it hard to go home.

Beautiful property, great location, easy communication with owners and one site contact, Jackie, is awesome! It's a 30 minute ferry ride from Marsh Harbour to get to but worth it. Also, in our opinion renting a boat is a must for easy access to all the surrounding islands on your timeframe as the ferry doesn't run that often.

Paradise found

Our stay was amazing! The pictures and description in the listing do not do the property justiceā€¦it was much better than expected! The rhythm of the waves crashing on the shore would lull us to sleep. The view of the turquoise waters just beyond the back porch allowed us to forget all the stresses we left behind. The location of Great Guana Cay was perfect. It is just a short boat ride from the reefs at Fowl Cays, picturesque Hopetown and the beaches of Green Turtle Cay. I have no complaints about the house. Jackie Sands was very helpful and she provided us with delicious Johnny cakes. I would definitely return to this piece of paradise without hesitation.

Best Rental House on the Island?

We wanted privacy and beach front and Jolly Rogers delivered. With a wide cushion between this house and the next, and private steps to the beach, the house was all we hoped for and more. Hardly anyone on the beach - hardly a handful of people walked past on any given day during our two week stay, and people at neighboring houses were few and never within shouting distance. House was attractive and clean, amply supplied with linens and towels, and clearly managed with care. Sunrises and sunset were spectacular. The sound of the ocean waves was a beautiful backdrop, but then sometimes the surf was gentle and called to us to come float. If you want ocean side versus facing the inside the Sea of Abaco, this houseā€™s position in the middle of the most beautiful beach makes it, in my opinion, the best on the island.

Amazing beach vacation

The beach and house were beautiful and in a terrific location. Jackie was extremely helpful and available as needed. Highly recommend boat and golf cart to fully enjoy the island and nearby locations. The beach behind the house was terrific for kids and adults and very private. I

The beach on Great Guana Cay was always my husbands favorite and one year he made an offer on a lot and they accepted! He designed a home with all of the things we always wanted when we rented and we built our home.

The beach in front of the house is so very peaceful. You can see the sunrise to the right and sunset to the left from the back porch. I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be.
