Welcome to Man - O - War Cay! A 3 by 1/2 mile island in the outislands of Abaco in the Bahamas. A small jewel in the Atlantic.

Our modern split level apartment on the second and third floor. Bottom level is open area with fully equiped kitchen, living and dining area. Also has a bedroom with 2 twin beds and bathroom with tub and shower. Second level has a queen bed and bathroom with tub and shower. It is located on site with another apartment and an efficency.

Dock area available if you decide to rent a boat or have your own runabout.

Man - O - War Cay offers and interesting history of industry with boat building at the forefront. Have a walk around town and see houses built by boatbuilders that have stood for 120 years against storm after storm. Have a walk through the Albury Brothers Boat Building shed as they build fibreglass verisons of their famous hulls designed in 1954. Stop by Joe's Studio and you might find Joe in his workshop building a traditional Man-O-War dingy with hand sawn maderia frames. Walk miles of white sandy beaches in search of seaglass and other interesting baubles.

A safe place for small children, as golfcarts are primary transport the speed limit is 15 mph. Walk from end to end of the island in 35mins, and with the island being so narrow, you just cant get lost.

Nightlife is 20 minutes away by boat in Hopetown, where there are bars and many restaurants.

There is a very well stocked grocery store on Man - O - War, along with gift shops and rentals for boats and carts. There are also 3 churches.

Welcome to Man-O-War, where I can forget to close the door at night, and not have to lock the door at all.

Great Location. Great price. Dock plus rental boat (call Conch Pearl Rentals) and golf cart onsite is fantastic. BYOB cause its a dry island.

Excellent location for our family

Our apartment was located on the second floor, which gave the porch a beautiful breeze and view of the surrounding palm trees! Our children loved the pool and we enjoyed having a dock nearby for our rented boat. Megan and Andrew were available to answer any questions. Thank you for a great stay on Man-O-War Cay!

Amazing Surprise!

There was an "Old World" charm that felt like stepping back in time! Beautiful Bahamian views of the turquoise clear water with sailboats around. The inside was quaint with excellent workmanship and a cozy loft. The balcony afforded many opportunities to sit outside and enjoy. The hosts were helpful, personable and a lovely family who had overcome so much done to them by Hurricane Dorian! Thank you

Amazing hosts, fantastic property, and unbelievable beach!

I cannot express how fantastic of a time we had staying with Andrew and Megan. They are wonderful hosts that shared their relaxing Cay with us. Come for the lovely coffee shop, homemade ice cream and stay for the hospitality and incredible beaches. The small grocery store is well provisioned, but be advised Man O War is a dry island (byob) We stayed to wind down from a week sailing, couldn't hand chosen better. Highly recommend!!

Lovely MOW homeowners

Megan and Andrew provided an exceptionally clean condo, helped us secure our first grocery run ( no restaurants open on MOW), offered to be available to us as necessary, and these homeowners are very personable and make every attempt to be helpful to us while vacationing in one of their condos.

Fantastic Vacation

Megan and Andrew were amazing hosts! They met us at the dock to help carry our luggage and to show us the unit, which was larger than expected, had two stories, and was very clean. Megan and Andrew treated us like members of their family. They gave us a golf cart tour of the island, talked to us daily to let us know who was serving what on the island and to let us know what was good. When the wind/wave direction changed Andrew retied our rental boat to protect it from banging against the dock without us even asking him to. They also lent us whatever extra cooking supplies we needed, took us to get homemade ice cream on the golf cart, and lent us first aid supplies when one of us wasn't careful enough in Hope Town. This wonderful family of hosts help make the perfect vacation for us!

Great place to get away from reality.

The owner and his family could be the nicest people I have ever met. The condo was perfect and welcoming for our long weekend trip from Florida. The island was quiet and welcoming and the locals were very friendly. We definitely plan to return as much as possible. I highly recommend this rental for anyone looking to get away to paradise.

My name is Andrew Cove. Born in the Bahamas. My parents and I fell in love with Man-O-War 21 years ago on a trip to visit family.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

The family bought this property and eventually built this building because of the location on the Creek. I was told as a child that if you had a boat, you should be able to see it out of your bedroom window. This eases the mind when you worry if she is ok. The Coves building is located on the Creek overlooking our dock area. It is a single family home with 2 split level apartments tied on. Myself, My wife, 14 year old, 6 year old and infant daughter live here. I will be available to help you with getting settled in and will be starting the generator when required in case of a power outage.
