DIAMOND RIDGE is at the top of the Mountain, connects to the 500,000 acre Pisgah National Forest and is just 10 steps away from a trail to the Catawba River and Catawba Falls. The Cabin is located just 10 miles (20 minutes) from the town of Black Mountain and 23 miles (30 minutes) from Asheville. The home has 5 Master Bedrooms with King Beds & En Suite Bathrooms located on 3 levels as well as a BUNK ROOM that sleeps 6 in twin beds.

The First Master Bedroom on the upper level has a King Bed, a Private en suite, shower and tub. The Second Master Bedroom on the main level has s King Bed, a Private en suite, and a walk-in shower. The Third Master Bedroom on the main level has a King Bed, an en suite bathroom, a shower and tub. The Fourth Master Bedroom on the lower level has s King Bed, a Private en suite, and a walk-in shower. The Fifth Master Bedroom on the lower level has s King Bed, a shared en suite, and a walk-in shower. The Bunk Room on the lower level has a shared en suite, a walk in shower, (3) Bunk Beds with twins on top and bottom with steps instead of a ladder for safety.

The newly appointed Gourmet Kitchen provides Granite Counter-tops and all Stainless Steel appliances. There is a GAS stove-top with 5 burners, an oven, dishwasher and built in microwave. There is also a breakfast bar (with stools) that opens up to the dining room and family room. The well-stocked kitchen provides all the cookware, utensils, appliances and items you will need for your home cooked meals. There is an oversized floor to ceiling stone covered WOOD Burning Fireplace that can be used from October 1 to March 31. The 360-degree wrap around hardy plank decks (no splinters) are excellent for entertaining. They also provide year round breath-taking views and endless peace, quiet and relaxation while listening to the sounds of nature. There is an outdoor 6 person HOT TUB on the lower level that affords both privacy and spectacular views. The GAME ROOM is fun for the young and old alike. We have a large screen TVs for sports lovers (Direct TV Plus) in the Family Room and Basement Recreation area. We also have a full size "Old School" arcade console with over 95+ video games. If you like foosball, Ping-Pong, board games or books, we have that too. There are Bluetooth speakers that guests can connect to anytime to play your favorite music in the kitchen & game room. Our gated community is entirely paved so you will not need an all-wheel or four-wheel drive car. The oversized driveway is not steep and can easily accommodate up to 8 cars.

Diamond Ridge is truly a unique mountain retreat that you never need to leave. Because of its one-of-a-kind location, there are literally 360-degree views from the oversized windows and expansive decks. There are spectacular views of Mt. Mitchell, Grandfather Mountain, Chimney Rock, Linville Gorge, Lake Lure and Hickory Nut Gorge to name a few. Being so close to the Pisgah National Forest, you have access to numerous hiking trails inside and outside of Catawba Falls Preserve. There are countless hiking trails, streams, rivers and waterfalls nearby. The most common animals that you may encounter while out and about are deer, wild turkeys, rabbits and birds that span the colors of the rainbow. At Diamond Ridge, you will feel a million miles away, but you are minutes from the cultural conveniences of Asheville & Black Mountain.

All linens, blankets and towels are provided and we have an extra large Washer & Dryer for your use. We also have hair dryers for your use while visiting. The custom made (from reclaimed bowling alley lanes) dinning table really seats 16, there are 3 stools for seating at the kitchen bar and extra chairs and tables if needed for family gatherings. Steps from the cabin is a shed that has firewood for your use in the winter months. For outdoor grilling, we have a propane gas BBQ grill for you to use. SMART TV'S in all areas and bedrooms with unlimited YouTubeTV with tons of local and cable channels, and all the apps you expect, that you can access with your login/pw to use. There are Flat Screen TVs located in the family room, the lower level recreation area and ALL 5 Master Suites. The Wi-Fi Internet is provided through Sky Runner and works great for surfing the web, checking emails, and streaming. The house has a landline for unlimited U.S. telephone calls. Cell service depends on your carrier, but Verizon cellular service works best for mobile phones. We also have an outdoor gas fire table.

PET POLICY: Up to 2 well behaved dogs MAX. (no cats) that are NOT puppies, that ARE housebroken, that NEVER chew and will not scratch or freak out and scratch when you leave, assuming you don't bring your own cage to use while you are out. $195 non-refundable pet fee and you must get prior owner approval as to the type of dog(s) before any pet are permitted.

Friends ask why we are renting such an amazing log cabin. After living in New York and South Florida for over 30 years, our family decided to move to the enchanting town of Asheville, NC to raise our children. We still love living in Asheville, but we wanted a mountain escape that our family could enjoy from time to time. After years of searching we found the perfect Mountain Top site to build our dream vacation and eventual retirement home that is in a gated community with paved roads and some of the most breathtaking views in North Carolina. The best part was that is less than 30 minutes to Asheville. So in 2018 we built the most amazing log cabin vacation home in the perfect spot with 360 degree views as far as the eye can see. Since we live so close and enjoy it all the time, we decided to share this incredible log cabin so other families can enjoy it as much as we do.

We keep our availability calendar up to date. Please check our calendar before inquiring about availability. We usually respond to all email inquiries right away or within a few hours at most. If you inquire by phone and there is no answer, please leave a message with the dates requested and any other details and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We have a 3 night minimum requirement in the off-season (Sept, Nov-May excluding holidays and spring break) and a 3-7-night minimum in-season (Memorial Day through Labor Day and October) and all holidays and spring break. Please do not inquire for less than 3 nights.
