This was the best house rental we’ve ever had. Everything was perfect. From the peaceful, beautiful location, the exquisite mid-century modern architecture, lovely home decor, well-stocked kitchen with cooking gear, spices, coffee and snacks plus the pristine clean rooms, we truly loved this place and highly recommend it when visiting the southern Black Hills.

We have rented many VRBO homes and this one,outside of Custer, was excellent: Beautiful tranquil setting, convenient location-only a few miles from Custer and Custer State Park, cozy home, nice walking neighborhood in the rural Black Hills and very helpful hosts. We had a fantastic time hiking Custer State Park, dinner at the delicious Blue Bell Lodge, ice cream at Horatios and touring Crazy Horse. We were so relaxed by the end of our vacation. We will be back forsure!!!

Absolutely perfect! Todd gave great recommendations on fishing/hiking spots and lures to use:) secluded yet close to town. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the hills. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Good place to stay. On the 4th night I discovered that we were sharing the place with a mouse which I saw run across the floor in the lower level and then take refuge in the rocker-recliner. For this reason I give an overall rating of 4 stars which is still pretty good. Remove the mouse and make it mouse proof (which I myself have done to both of the houses I have owned immediately after I bought them) and this will easily be a 5 star rating. Excellent in every other way.

Great Place to stay

Check is process as seamless, property is absolutely beautiful! It was perfect for our family to relax at night after a day of hiking and site seeing.

Location was perfect for Custer city and Custer State Park. Property is beautiful and we thought the outdoor shower was amazing! (Yes, the indoor shower is nice too)

We absolutely loved this property. We loved sitting out back and enjoying the fire pit and listening to the creek. It was a peaceful retreat!

We loved this rental and we hope to stay again. Our favorite was the seclusion, making our stay very peaceful and calming. We loved the outdoor kitchen and shower. We were able to enjoy the beautiful fire inside and out, beautiful views from the large windows and comfortable space all around.

Easy access to Black hills attractions

We had a wonderful stay. This property has easy access to the amazing Custer State Park! Easy day trips to the surrounding caves and Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse! Perfect kitchen and grill set up for cooking.

Relaxing place to stay while we explored Custer. The house was plenty big for 6 adults. The outdoor shower is great! We enjoyed being outside almost the whole trip. Loved listening to the creek and seeing the beautiful surroundings.

Black Hills Getaway

Great stay for our family getaway to the Black Hills. Michelle was great with checking in to make sure we were comfortable andbhad everything we needed. The property was well taken care of and clean! It was great listening to the nearby creek!

Wonderful and Peaceful Getaway to the Black Hills

We had a great time staying at this property. It was well appointed, very clean, and had beautiful views of the Black Hills National Park. The host and hostess were very accommodating and the overall experience was a very smooth one. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful property

Wonderful location right outside the park. But not too far away from alot of the attractions. Has a nice yard and creek in the backyard with a firepit and outside kitchen. Had a great time.

Great location. Was easy to get to many places in the Black Hills. House was well stocked with day to day items. Enjoyed the outdoor patio and grill area. We used it every night! Lots of yard space for the kids to play.

The property was very clean and pleasant. My family and I loved our stay. The home feels very secluded but also close to everything. Pur favorite part of the stay was enjoying the outdoor shower and stream. Star gazing at night was also fabulous. The owners were wonderful and were very responsive to any question we had. We will definitely stay at this location on our next trip to the Black Hills

Custer Adventure

We had a great time exploring the area. There is so much to do and see within an hour. The house was a fun 70's vibe and three generations loved it!!

We loved our stay!

Our family stayed here the week of the Fourth of July and had the best time! The property is absolutely gorgeous and we spent as much time outside as possible. We played in the trees, fished in the creek, and ate our meals at the outdoor table. We loved the seclusion but also the close proximity to downtown Custer and the State Park. The beds were very comfortable the house was clean and well-appointed. Highly recommend!

This property is a Black Hills gem! Beautiful home situated along Lower French Creek adjacent to the Black Hills National Forest and close to Custer State Park. The home has all the amenities one would want, including the unique outdoor shower which our family loved. Michelle and Todd have created an oasis filled with thoughtful touches. We would definitely stay here again.
