Great place.

I really like the location is next to the beach, nice pool, everything was great just wen we arrive the place smells old and the carpet look dirty.

Lovely home

It’s a very comfortable and centrally located condo with great amenities in the complex. The carpet is clean and bathroom tiles do not have mold so it has been updated.

Great location

It was much nicer than I expected and the location within the complex was perfect. Very easy in and out. The unit is a little dated, but not a big deal. I would definitely rent this unit again. We kept the door open in the bedroom and were plenty cool during the night.

Well The condo needs updating the bathroom are old and needs updating there was renovation next door and I think up stairs the whole time the location was great and the ground looked great I would stay again

If picky don't stay here

Carpet fity get rid of it. Throw away trash beach chairs. Need plastic glasses for pool area. Showers work but awful . Kitchen is fully stocked and clean. Bed soft and clean. U would only come back if there was nothing else.

Nice but needs a spruce-up

TV HDMI inputs are worn. Causes them to be ghosted as an input selection. Carpet has a few large stains. Overhead fan in bedroom and switch not working.

Dated, Tired Condo

The Kamaole Sands property/location/amenities are spectacular, the condo however, is as the title says. This unit is in its original condition and is in desperate need of a complete redo. If that is not possible, then at the very least it needs painting throughout, and the stained original carpets replaced with flooring. There are no useable beach chairs or umbrella either. This condo does have a wonderful view of the property and ocean though.

Condo was clean and well appointed. The unit could use some updates and minor cosmetic repairs, which did not negatively impact our enjoyment or use.

Beautiful view from the lanai - gorgeous grounds

This place is right across the street from Kamaole Park, a beautiful beach with great snorkeling. Our stay was very comfortable. The resort was clean and very well maintained. The some parts of the unit were a bit older, but we didn't mind because we only spent time in it when sleeping or preparing for our day. The concierge at the pool was very kind and knowledgeable. One of our favorite features was how the pool was shielded from the trade winds that kick up in the afternoon. We will definitely stay there again.

Remodel Long Overdue

This condo is in very poor condition. Carpets are old and filthy, no way to clean something that old and matted. Walls look like children painted them 20 years ago. A/C unit iced up and doesn’t cool. Towel bars fall off the wall. Shower tile and grout is from the 80’s and is nasty. Tub shower slow to drain. Beach furniture is so bad good will wouldn’t even take it. Outdoor furniture is all chipped and gross. This unit needs a complete gut.

I would not rent this unit again

Positives: The facilities at Kamaole Sands are as advertised. Good pool and hot tub; good work-out room; well-manicured gardens; nice tennis courts; nice reception people. The location is excellent within walking distance to a market, restaurants, bars, and of course the gorgeous state park and beach across the street. The negatives: I'm not sure when the owner took the photos posted on his/her rental listing, or when the last time the owner put money into the unit to update it, but the unit needs updating and work. The carpet needs to be replaced - this was the type of carpet where you leave your socks on; numerous stains, stickiness, run down and generally gross. There is black mold in one of the showers; the shower needs to be re-tiled. The other shower's sliding glass door is broken. There is ripped furniture. Scuff, streaks, stains, and gouges in the drywall and wall paint. These are just examples. The unit's condition is not accurately represented by the owner's photos; and at $200+ a night the unit is not renting at fair value. In sum, I would stay at Kamaole Sands again, just not this unit.

Thank you for your review, Patrick. The carpet cleaning has been completed, the sliding glass door has been fixed, and the walls have been cleaned. The grout in the shower is stained, so we have recommended a re-grouting to the owner. The torn cushion is being replaced. We hope to see you again!

Location Good

I loved the location of this condo. However, it is dated and could do with some help. The gardeners tend to be a bit too noisy for my liking and make sitting outside on your patio some mornings not too pleasant. We didn't spend too much time inside the condo so it did not detract from the quality of our vacation. Could really use some new beach chairs and a better/stronger umbrella.
