The Sandbox is a vibrant, charming, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom beach-style cottage home. During your stay, you will be greeted by a relaxed atmosphere, breathtaking views of the Chesapeake Bay, and swoon-worthy sunsets!
This home sleeps 8 comfortably. The Master Bedroom has a king size bed and a private bathroom. The first guest bedroom has a queen size bed and the other has two twins.. The second bathroom is located in the hall. There is also a full size sleeper sofa in the sunroom.
The layout is spacious, with an open living room area and kitchen. The living room has a nice sized television, and cozy fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with all of your cooking necessities, there is even a "seafood station" in the middle, which is perfect for shucking oysters or picking crabs (Cape Charles has the best!).
The sunroom leads out to a beautiful back porch and backyard area, the ideal location to soak up the views.
This property has a convenient outside shower, making cleaning up after the beach or a pool swim much easier!
The private beach is a smooth 5-minute walk from The Sandbox, so is the Beach Club and state of the art fitness center. Don't forget to take a trip into the town of Cape Charles to explore the public beach and shops. Ask us about renting a golf cart to make your commute more easy going!

Beautiful cottage with everything you need for a get away. Best part was vicinity to the ocean for the ladies to enjoy beach off season and the men caught TONS of fish

But the best part of Bay Creek was the private beach on the Chesapeake Bay - BEAUTIFUL !!!!

We even did an oyster roast on the back patio with local harvested oysters which was heavenly. The home has 3 bedrooms that comfortable accommodates a small family plus the hideaway bed if one needs it. Great location to walk to the beach for sunsets. Easy 1/4 mile to the golf course. With friendly local families and a wonderful environment, one cannot go wrong with this lovely home. Only negative comment, there is always one, is the fans need adjustment to keep them quiet. Reported this and the management said they were on it.

Decor nice, furniture and beds comfortable. Numerous bikes and beach chairs plus other beach toys to use. Noted kitchen faucet needs some maintenance to keep it from running. Master bedroom could use some new pillows, ones there quite old. Otherwise very enjoyable time. Would stay again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoy Bay Creek but this house needs some tlc. Upon entering the front porch light was broken and hanging from the wall. The house was dirty and looked like it was poorly cleaned. Our toddler had black on her legs from crawling on the floor and there were crumbs on the table cloth and under the table. The a/c was broken when we got there but they notified us that a technician was on the way. He showed up but was unable to fix it. The door nob on the back storage shed was broke off and a bench was holding it shut. We closed it and had to do some of our own handy man work to get it back open. I'd recommend a different house.

Quiet There is a lot of construction work nearby that was thankfully on pause during the Labor Day weekend. Well stocked storage room with lots of beach and outdoor gear and an extension cord for charging your golf cart rental.

The only negative is that the outdoor table and chairs are very old and were not usable.

This has been the best rental and vacation for my family. House was extremely clean and accommodating. Short walk to the beach. Easy golf cart path access to town. Loved every minute!!

It would have been very helpful to know that the fridge doesnā€™t make ice(especially in the summer at the beach) and no ice trays. Therefore, we had to go out and buy ice, which wasnā€™t convenient. The only other issue was that the outdoor chairs are falling apart, so trying to eat outside is really not practical. A great little cottage!

It was so great to have more space than a hotel room, and it was in great condition. Comfortable bed etc. It was so peaceful; a few minute walk to a lovely beach for sunset viewing. Plenty of quiet roads to walk or ride bike, and could easily bike into town.

Wide-open across the Bay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for a golf tournament this past weekend and we had a great time. The place isn't necessarily big, but it's in a great location. The master bath has a beautiful shower with very nice water pressure. The beds could've been a little more comfortable, but overall, not too bad. The water could've also been hotter, but still not a deal breaker. Lastly, they have a washer and dryer and Keurig. Pretty nice amenities. The one thing I would change is the TV Reception. It's Terrible!!!
