Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). It would be nice to have an updated tv in the bedroom. Also helpful if you give directions. Google maps does not take you to parking lot. Otherwise the place is a little old but it was okay.

We appreciated the location and all of the amenities to help us on our quick stay. We couldn’t find sheets for the pull out couch. The parking lot and check in directions could be a little more clear since there are so many lots and lock boxes. Plenty of pillows and towels were nice!

outdated and in need of maintenance

There was mold on the ceiling in the bedroom and around the shower, the blinds in the living room were broken, making it impossible to get it dark to sleep on the very outdated pull out couch. The location was nice but this condo needs serious maintenance and updates, outside of the newly redone kitchen and bathroom.

Outdated and needs maintenance

This property is in desperate need of some upgrades and maintenance, and the photos don't accurately show what you will get. The kitchen and bathroom are nice and upgraded, but the living room blinds were disfuncional, the pull out couch was old and very uncomfortable, and there aren't enough seats for a group of 4 to hang out together. It seems like they updated the kitchen and bathroom for the photos, and ignored the sleeping spaces, which need some updates. A carpet cleaning, new couch and blinds and a refresh of the bedroom would make a big difference to future guests' overall comfort.

Not as good as expected

The location (town, hikes, people, full time residents) was breath taking, magnificent, friendly and worth the hastle. Lots of nuisance, no clean blankets/sheets that took all afternoon of contacting VACASA and giving ultimatum to finally get someone to bring clean linens, dirty towels (blood and other things don'teven want to list) I was told by one of the reps 'oh that is an easy fix, you can wash them since there is a washer drier', parking lot is not easy to find- look for bakeshop sign, same for their dumpster-- which is in town and not clearly marked. But that is lack of professionalism and poor management. The big issue with the apartment though, which is on the owner is the lack of ventilation, the mold and the hole in the bedroom ceiling with pipe sticking from it from unrepaired water/moisture damage. Giving it a 3 star, as mentioned above just because of location and the people we met, friends we made.

This place is fairly old with sloped floors, etc. but it's a great option if you're just looking for a bed, shower, and a kitchen.

Great location in beautiful Girdwood. Excellent customer service. But the apartment is in serious need of updating. Old, hard to open lockbox. Musty smell from old carpet and couch. No Wi-fi!!! No cable; three old TVs that don’t work. Tired old bed and pillows. No end tables in the bedroom. Only one way to get fresh air in: screen door at the entrance. Old blinds. Still, it was clean, the bathroom and kitchen are fine and parking was close by and easy.

Affordable Yet Nothing Too Fancy

Place was located near the base of Mount Alyeska. It is an affordable option compared to the price of the hotel. The kitchen was nice and clean, however it is a bit of an older place that smells musty when you open the door to enter. The carpet and furniture are a bit older as well as the bathroom area.

Look for a different place

The location is beautiful. The people in town, as well as the coffee shop and the guys at the bake shop fantastic. So the location and town is worth it for sure. However this particular apartment, unless they take care of the mold issues, ventilation problem (no ventilation unless you open the front door and the back door which opens into the internal hallway storage and their clubroom with foosballtables and such so anyone could literally just walk in), water leak from upstairs that has damaged the left corner of bedroom ceiling (there is a hole with visible mold and tube sticking out, change their stove (it does not work properly and burners' electric connection are unstable, had to wiggle them back and forth until electric connection worked) is not worth the $. You need to use the dumpster in town, which is fine, just not the easiest to find- the dumpster has a very small sign that says vacasa on it- look for the laundry mat. Though our stay in this particular apartment was not ideal and will not return, we will defenetly go back to Girwood, and look for a different accomodation. Our neighbors- 2 doors down also rented and their condo was night and day and not a health hazard.

The property was cleaned well by the cleaning staff, but mold and rot in the structure of the property gave it a very dirty feel and smell.

We did not find the instructions on how to get to the property helpful. Once we figured out how to get there, however, all went well. Very spacious.

It may be right by the ski lift however the condo itself needs some repair. Some lights did not work(on the stove) etc., a chair had armrest that needed to be mended, the blinds in the livingroom were totally inoperable, with broken slats and cord, and the window really needed to be washed. The ceiling in the bedroom, in the corner, looked like it had water damage a few years back and was not addressed very well. The washing machine and dryer were nice to have and there was plenty of cook ware.
