Not for kids and not access friendly (steep staircases) but absolutely beautiful space and location with a hot tub to enjoy under the stars! Coffee beans and a grinder!

Idyllic

Cozy space complete with deck and hot tub. Everywhere are signs of the owners beautifying the property with flowers and plants. Owners were friendly and left us alone.

Place and stay at property was great communication with agency AWFUL!!

i would have given it 5 stars except for the ability to communicate with the property manager before during and after our stay. The apartment was lovely. Great woodsy location with a nice view. Bed comfy but hard. Kitchen adequate for breakfast and lunch. We didnā€™t do dinner because that would have been just microwave meals. Loved having the hot tub although it goes through a noisy filtering process for 4 hours each day. Bring a sleep mask in the summer. Top of the alpine windows do not have any curtains. We did meet Steve the owner on site and he was lovely. COMMUNICATION with property manager. I am inclined to never book with something that uses Vacasa again. There is virtually no way to get in touch with a real person! I could not find out anything about certain amenities that normally I would have been able to talk with the owner about. IE: coffee filters. We bought them and there were probably about literally 1000 coffee Filters there already because everyone else had the same problem and bought them. Also no way to find out if there was a hair dryer. They could have listed these things in. Amenities. I know these are little things but I am totally turned off that i could not talk with a real person . I communicated with AI via text. I trued to call the phone number but was either on hold for 20 minutes and the. Got disconnected. VRBO needs to be more transparent ability vascasa.

Great property. Beware this isnā€™t really VRBO it is Vascasa and that sucks.

This property is great. The communication with Vascasa is lousy. Hard but comfy bed. Nice views . Woodsy cozy atmosphere. Good location for a various activities in the anchorage area. Hot tub was great except it has a four hour filtering process that is a bit noisy. Bring a sleep mask in the summer. The black out curtains only go half way up the tall windows.

Great spot!

The location was perfect for hiking, coffee and food around Girdwood. The view from the hot tub was breathtaking. Great place to relax after being outdoors. Great host who gave us some great recommendations for us. I very highly recommend!

Loved our stay !!

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was great! The hot tub was nice (just couldnā€™t turn up temp but other than that we had no other issues) it was clean and you can also mess with room temp if youā€™d like, stores and food was a 4 minute car ride (8 minute walk) and nice and private!! The view in the hot tub was nice and they even have a cover over the hot tub for the rain! And your own parking spot!! If youā€™re looking for a nice get away I recommend this place!! I will definitely come back sometime this summer!!

We really enjoyed our stay and loved the area/scenery of Girdwood. The room is up two flights (doable for seniors unless you have mobility issues) of stairs where you come to a deck with hot tub and outdoor seating. The owner lives below, was very quiet but helped and offered information when asked. There is a small refrigerator with an ice tray, you will need to get ice and try to fit in a small compartment. The room is quite small as well as bathroom but shower water was hot and bed very comfy and all was clean! We would definitely recommend for two people!

Great place to relax for two!

This is not the first time my friend and I have stayed in this wonderful small and very cozy place. There is everything you need for relaxation. Always clean. Quiet place, but good restaurants are within walking distance. Beautiful view of the mountains! This is a good place to take a break from the bustle of the city. Very friendly owner. We will definitely come again.

Way over priced

Adequate but over priced we stayed here many years ago/ at a fraction of the price. We only stayed because my wife's request for her 80th birthday $800.00 for three nights Come-on we won't be back any time soon.

Cute spot!

Nice room and very clean! Location was great, and walking distance to town. Would recommend an eye mask to sleep without light. Bed is little firmer than we like. Overall wonderful stay!!

The only issue is there are no black at curtains or curtains on the higher window, which makes it very tough to sleep in Alaska when the sun is up for 24 hours.

Cozy Studio Near Town

We really enjoyed this studio rental with great location. It was easy walk to the town, grocery, and brewery/restaurants and an easy drive to the Amtrakā€™s Resort. Parking was easy, and we really enjoyed the hot tub and the great views.

Getaway Stay

The room was very nice. Great location. Hot tub was very relaxing after hiking. The early checkout requirement of 10:00 am was challenging. Normal checkout time is 11:00 am for most rooms.

We stayed here 10 years ago for our first trip. We came back as a parents weekend away. We went to the Nordic Spa and bounced all over Girdwood. We had a very relaxing weekend away. It was just what we needed to reconnect and relax.

Romantic get-away

This was a wonderful get-away! A quiet, cozy and private apartment with a hot tub on deck is a very nice amenity. A cute kitchenette allows for a more homey atmosphere. We loved our stay here.

Great location!

What a great loaction for a getway for a couple or as a solo trip. Loved the lay out and the views. The hot tub is a nice touch and so enjoyable. Super clean and the bed is compfy. We will stay again when we return to Girdwood.

Just the right spot!

This 'chalet', as my husband called it was just the perfect place to stay for our daughter's wedding. It was near the venue and near restaurants as well. Perfect location! Would definitely recommend!

Cozy Retreat

This was the 3rd time we have rented this property. It isn't big, but it is perfect for two people. Although it is connected to the owners house, we never heard or saw them. The area is nice and quiet and in walking distance to Chair 5 and the Mercantile. Also, the hot tub is great! The perfect way to relax after a day of skiing. Besides the microwave, there isn't a way to cook so plan to eat at one of the many fabulous restaurants in Girdwood. We love to eat out so it wasn't a problem. The cleaner showed up promptly at 10 am (which is the check out time) so plan to be ready to go. :)
