The house is great! Huge, fully equipped kitchen and cozy wood stove with glass window so you can see the fire. Two levels of outdoor decks and beautiful views - especially sunrise! This was our second stay at Appalachian View and we highly recommend it!

Great property

Our family had a great Thanksgiving holiday in this wonderful location. The kids really enjoy the hot tub! The kitchen was excellently equipped.

Outstanding Mountain Cabin

Our family enjoyed our Thanksgiving vacation in this wonderful mountain cabin. The location was perfect, great views and very clean. The cabin was exactly as advertised. We will definitely come back!

Mother/ daughter/granddaughter getaway weekend.

Everything was as advertised. Cabin was very clean. Kitchen was stocked above expectations. Very comfortable. Considering making this a yearly trip. Views were amazing.

One of the best

This is by far one of the best VRBO rentals I have had the pleasure to enjoy. The house is clean, spacious, well equipped, and the view is amazing. The driveway is a little intimidating at first but after a couple of trips up and down you get accustomed to it. It would definitely require 4 wheel drive if there was snow or ice. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was a chef’s dream. Can’t say enough about how nice this house is. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Mountain Cabin!

We had a fabulous family Christrmas this year at Applachian View! The property was just as described. Very well stocked kitchen for cooking, which we did a ton of during out stay. The layout was great for family time and spread out enough for time to relax. We spent many hours in the kitchen area with the great big table playing games, watching TV with lots of laughs. The view is stunning from the house, deck, and hot tub. We caught every gorgeous sunrise from the main deck all week. Very pet friendly. Highly recommend.

Christmas and New Year vacation

Great house, great views, great amenities! A little weird that the hot tub can't be accessed from a door right next to it, but have to go outside the gage for to access it. We had a bit of a bug problem, but the property manager had a pest control out there within hours. Kitchen was stocked with just about any pot, pan, baking sheet, and any other internship you could think of. Loved the matter bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Dreamhouse

We LOVED our stay at Appalachian View. The cabin is gorgeous with EVERYTHING you need to cook. I saw in reviews that the check in process was terrible but it was less then 10 minutes away from the cabin and we got our cabin code earlier than we thought we would. We also didn’t have to bring a key back bc it was a keyless door. Yes, they only leave 2 rolls of toilet paper and small bar soaps for your hands but it was so nice to have had previous people leave extra of everything. We had hand soap, dish soap, sponges for dish cleaning, paper towel and toilet paper along with aluminum foil and parchment paper. Taking the trash 2 minutes down the road was no big deal either. The city of Waynesville is perfect with great food and there was many great hikes to pick from. Our family cannot wait to come back!!!

Quite Get Away - Beautiful Views

Nice home and amenities with a well dressed kitchen. The beds are a little soft for my liking. One criticism is the check in process. Even if you ask for an early checkin - the soonest you will be able to collect the keys is 2PM. Every other property I have rented on VRBO would allow for an early checkin if the house was open and clean. It was apparent no one had been in the house prior to our arrival. Ask the managing company for a copy of the rental agreement, it is not on VRBO. I received mine after I paid. The agreement is very specific; one small roll of paper towels, one small roll of toilet paper, one tiny bar of bath soap, 2 dishwasher pods, and the trash rules. A nice home cheaply managed.

You are correct, we do state several times prior to your arrival that we only offer a "starter pack" of amenities, not enough for your entire stay, similar to other property management companies. We are sorry you felt slighted by this. Also, as our check in time is 4pm, we felt that 2pm was a fair time to allow entrance to the home. Main couch in family room is pretty uncomfortable. Expectation of garbage removal is unrealistic.

Overall a good spot, great view, plenty of room for 6. Adding a TV in master suite and upgraded couch would go a long way.

Thank you for your comments here, through your feedback we are able to improve our services and we have passed your suggestions on to our owners. As for trash pickup, we let guests know that trash service is not included and that we have to pay an outside vendor to pick up trash if left at the property - we do give folks directions to available recycling centers throughout the county. Incidentally enough there is one located at the stop light adjacent to this home. Gorgeous house with all the amenities we needed. Great Decks and fireplace. nice hike to the top of the mountain and quick drive into town for any needs.

Beautiful Property

This was a great place for my friends and I to enjoy a long labor day weekend in the mountains. We had never been to the Asheville area and loved our time spent both in town and at the VRBO. The place was clean, the views were gorgeous, and the space was perfect for hanging out, playing games, and making dinner together. The one thing I would recommend is to have more toiletries on site (garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper). We had to bring our own trash to the dump but there was only one trash bag to do so. We ended up buying more of each thing.
