Our Costarican home is the perfect portal to a restorative vacation. A pure and safe heaven right on the beach in the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.

Should you be a couple looking for a romantic escape or a family looking for good waves to surf... this is the perfect spot for you.
It is a 2 hour drive south of San Jose airport,
Great location in between Playa Jaco and Quepos-Manuel Antonio's park. There are many activities in the surroundings. The closest village is Parrita, a 10 minute drive from the house, grocery shopping is available in Parrita.

We offer a full service property management and also take care of the pool and garden.

Notre maison du Costa Rica, située à Playa Bandera, offre l'opportunité unique de passer des vacances dans un environnement privé et relaxant. En effet, il s'agit là d'un véritable havre de paix. Parfait pour un ou deux couples ou encore une jeune famille. La maison est située directement sur une plage vierge côté Pacifique. Nous sommes également à 45 minutes de deux villes touristiques, soit Quepos et Jaco. Une panoplie d'activités et d'excursions sont offertes dans les environs. Le village le plus près de la maison se nomme Parrita, on peut y faire tous ses achats, à 10 minutes en voiture.
En plus de vous accueillir, une personne ressource qui demeure à proximité s'occupe de coordonner l'entretien de la maison, du terrain et de la piscine. C'est un endroit à découvrir !

Great location on the beach. Home was clean and well equipped. Pool was refreshing in the heat and had an opportunity for my daughter to release baby turtles one evening. Highly recommended and look forward to returning in the future.

We love this house. The location is a true oceanfront paradise. The house is fully equipped and roomy. The pool is nice and very cleaned. The host is very quick to respond.

Amazing Paradise

We stayed for a week at this wonderful property. The beds were soft and comfortable, the whole house was clean and fresh. Everything we needed was available at the house, it was amazing. The pool was so refreshing after a days long hike or tour. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back and stay again. Nicely located between Jaco and Quepos with so much to do and see around.

Perfect for our family.

This house is located about halfway between Jaco and Manuel Antonio, we spent time in each town and several days just hanging out the house in the pool or at the beach. The house is perfectly equipped to provide everything we needed, including a great host to help out if needed. Our boys had a great time in those incredible waves. Thanks for a great stay.

Excellent Accommodations and Service

Exceeded our expectations and was a magnificent experience. Marietta was an excellent host and was very timely with answers to all our questions. The house and grounds were the best we've ever stayed at. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Thanks for a wonderful experience!!

Excellent villa ! We enjoyed the house and the grounds. The beach was awesome and beautiful. You have the beach to yourself. The house keeper and the groundsman did a great job taking care of the house , pool, and the grounds. Be prepared for possible electrical outages during the rainy season . We will go back .

From the very beginning with the booking to the departure, everything was perfect. The pictures do not do justice to how beautiful and relaxing the property is. The house manager mariette kept our family up to date on some fun experienes and delicious restaurants. Highly recommend!

The listing photos of this property are absolutely amazing, but they pale in comparison to the in-person experience. We could hardly believe it was real! My wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary at Casa Amarillo, and will cherish our experience for years to come. Marietta was attentive, caring and genuine. She even helped book us massages right on the property grounds, which were so peaceful and special. Fernanda, the massage therapist is, in my wife's words "a living angel." You'll have to experience it for yourself! Overall, the experience was incredible, the property is stunning, the proximity to the beach is insane, the home was so clean and has so much character, and everyone we met was kind and gracious. If we have the opportunity to return, we'll do so with excitement and nostalgia in our hearts. ¡Muchas Gracias y Pura Vida!

Had the best family vacation. House was even better than pictures. Clean, well equipped and private. The pool and grounds were kept beautifully. Enjoyed hearing and seeing all the wildlife around house. Short drive to food stores in Parrita. Recommend guided tour in Manuel Antonio National Park, Il Iguana chocolate Farm tour (need 4x4) and relaxing. Thank you Josee for sharing and to staff that maintain. Mariette was so pleasant, helpful and easy to contact.

This place was absolutely beautiful. The house was fully stocked with anything you could possibly need, even beach chairs/coolers. We felt very safe in this location and area. We had many epic experiences while we stayed here thanks to the wonderful house keepers. She brought us down the beach to the sea turtle nursery and we got to release baby sea turtles into the ocean. This was a once in a lifetime experience and it was unplanned. They also made sure to have us fresh coconuts to drink out of when we wanted. Absolutely loved having the beach to ourselves and you must make a stop at The Bamboo Cafe down the road, you won't be disappointed. If you plan on going to this area in Costa Rica I would make sure to stay here.

Perfect Tranquility

This was such a relaxing trip. The property was just perfect and we had the beach all to ourselves! The caretaker, Nela, is a wonderful chef. She made an excellent dinner for us one night. Also, the manager, Mariette is super helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Amazing!

This was the perfect spot for my husband and I and our three teenagers! Plenty of beach time as well as multiple excursions within an hour away without our place feeling touristy at all! Jossee and Meriette were so helpful in getting us ideas for things to do. So great!!! We had a wonderful time!

First visit to Costa Rica

Playa Bandera, on the Beach, was the perfect location for celebrating our 40th anniversary. The home is clean and very well appointed, we wanted for nothing. The property is beautiful and secluded, perfect for relaxing and cooling off in the pool. The almost completely empty beach was great for our early morning and late afternoon walks. The proximity to Jaco, Quepos and surrounding areas is perfect with a rental car. Overall 10 out of 10 experience!!

Paradise

We had an amazing time in Costa Rica! Marriette was a phenomenal host as well as the house and grounds keeper. From fresh coconuts to our friendly stray dog I wanted to bring back with us, the sound of the ocean and amazing time on the property swimming in the pool we couldn’t have asked for a better week we had. Secluded Beach

Our family had a great time at this property. It was like having your own beach to yourself as usually you could look either direction and not see anyone. Our family enjoyed playing in the pool daily to an audience of iguanas. We also saw scarlet macaws and monkeys in the area. The grounds to the property were very well kept and communication from the host and next door neighbor (manager) were helpful. We created many new memories at this home and would stay there again!

Playa Bandera is the place to stay if you love nature and enjoy the peace and quiet of the surroundings. Guests always appreciate to spend quality time around this house. It is a pleasure for us to share the beauty of this part of Costa Rica.

Exceeded our expectations

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is much more spectacular in person. We loved lazy days at the pool and enjoyed the peace and solitude of the beach. The home was immaculate and very nicely decorated. The owner had thought of everything that you may need during your stay. The wildlife was such treat, we saw monkeys/lizards/Scarlett Mac laws and I even got to release baby turtles into the sea at sunset. Finally the staff were so efficient and friendly. The property is managed by Marrietta who was so lovely and knowledgeable. We would stay again, I was sad to leave.

Paradise

We enjoyed a lovely week at Casa Amarilla with our two kids (7 and 11). The setting right on the beach was unbeatable. The road to get there was pretty rough though. Significant rain made for a difficult last mile. The grounds of the house are gorgeous and very well maintained. We made great use of the pool too. The ability walk right out the door and into the ocean was perfect for our kiddos and made for a very relaxing stay. Mariette was very helpful and we appreciated her guidance. We would definitely recommend this home to others looking for a relaxing and low key getaway to Costa Rica.

The house is well located, the beach, the grounds and the pool are the keys to an excellent stay. Unfortunately, and we do not have control on that, the last part of the road is unpaved and the last 4 km can be rough at this time of the year. The weather is unpredictable and rain can affect the aspect of the road. We were told by the city that they would pave the road this year, we really hope it is done soon. We are sorry if it had an impact on your stay.

Amazing stay at this beautiful house

We fell in love with Costa Rica and this house. It was the perfect place for our family to stay with small children. They absolutely loved the pool and wanted to swim 24/7/ The beach was quiet and so peaceful to walk down and watch the waves. Our 5 year old was loving using the body board and catching the waves. We would eat the fresh coconuts found on the property or close by. Parrita was close so we went there for groceries, ice-cream and the fresh fruit. Rainmaker park and mangrove tours are also close by. We never wanted to leave the house that much because everything was there. Such a relaxing vacation for us. Mariette and her husband were wonderful and were there when we needed them. We can't wait to go back!

Playa Bandera, Casa Maria

This lovely beach home is even prettier than the photos show on VRBO. The gardens and pool are well groomed, and the interior is spotless. Costa Rican woods adorn the furnishings and ceilings. Kitchen is well appointed. Beds are very comfortable; nice linens. Would not change a thing about the house or grounds. Our host, Mariette, was very helpful and kind. She arranged for a cook to bring in the most wonderful local seafood dishes, and she responded within minutes to any questions that we had during our stay. The unimproved road from the main highway to the house, roughly 3 miles, is the only negative. Casa Maria is a real treat for those who enjoy privacy, the sound of the surf and the natural flora and fauna of this beautiful coastline. Pura vida!
