Your Perfect Beach Vacation Cottage

Adorable beach cottage in very desirable area of Harwich Port. A short two minute walk to the Atlantic Ave Beach. We are on a private road with three bedrooms 2 queen rooms and a double bed in the third room. This home sleeps six. A cozy screened in porch for extra seating. Ample outdoor space with a grill and picnic table. Many new updates including newly installed Air Conditioning and Heat and free high speed Wi-Fi. Two TV's, a brand new 50 inch flat screen smart tv and a 24 inch TV in the master bedroom. We are a five minute walk to town with great shops and restaurants. Awesome large attached outdoor shower is the perfect way to begin or end a beach day. You will not miss not having an indoor shower. Extremely clean and clutter free home. We are located close to beach and town with one of the largest yards in this area of Harwich Port. We know you will enjoy the comforts of a home in this charming beach community . We do not allow pets or smoking.

Great beach cottage

This place was perfect for a family of five. It was located short walking distance to the beach and downtown area. The outdoor shower was great and kids did not mind. Definitely a great place to visit and everyone in the area was friendly and pleasant. Ginny was a great host and answer any questions promptly. Looking forward to coming back!!

Annual Teacher Getaway Trip

My girlfriends and I have made Cape Cod our destination for our Annual Teacher Getaway Trip. This is our 3rd year staying in the Cape. The Red House was our favorite so far. The cottage was just the right size for the 4 of us. We absolutely LOVED the outdoor shower...we didn’t miss an indoor shower at all! Ginny was very accommodating and responsive. We are slow walkers, so the beach was about a 5-7 minute walk for us, but it wasn’t a problem at all. The beach was beautiful. I found many pieces of sea glass, which made the trip even more fabulous!

Wonderful house and location

My first time booking a rental house, and it exceeded all of my expectations. Ginny is a great host, the house is just right, and the location is just a short walk away from the beach in one direction and the charming town of Harwich Port in the other.

Easy walking distance to beach

We really enjoyed the proximity to the beach, although it wasn't right out the door as it appears in the picture. The cottage is among other houses and a short walk to the ocean. Our only complaint was that the beds weren't very comfortable. Overall, the cottage was a less expensive option than many others in the area, and it worked out well for us over the wedding weekend.

Nice Rustic Charm

Located in a fabulous area, very short walk to beach and fun downtown with great restaurants and ferry is close by for a day trip to Nantucket, which we thoroughly enjoyed. House itself, was comfortable, rustic and had a good vacation feel. Note, only has an outdoor shower, which was actually kind of cool.

Charming cottage in the perfect location

On a private road, close to beach and town, this cottage was comfortable and charming . We really appreciated the welcoming touches like wine and toiletries provided by the host, Ginny. We loved the screened-in porch, private backyard and large outdoor shower. What a great place to relax!

Perfect Getaway

The cabin is very cozy and has everything you need. It was very clean and well taken care of. The location is perfect! There is so much to do and see. Ginny is an absolute pleasure to work with…very responsive. She was even kind enough to let us check in a little early. We are already planning to go back. If you are thinking about staying here, just do it. Jen B P.S. I was a little nervous about the outdoor shower but I needn’t have worried….it was amazing!

Last Minute Trip to Cape Cod

What a great home to find! I fell in love again with the home and location. Great outdoor shower, few minutes walk to gorgeous Atlantic Ocean, private neighborhood, screened-in porch and peaceful. Look forward to going back.

Love this place

This was our second time staying here for our girls trip. We love this place and hopefully will be coming back for a third time. Owner was very easy to communicate with. The location was amazing. Just a short stroll to the beautiful beach.

Loved our stay!

This little cottage was amazing. The updates like the TVs and mini split ACs were great. Everything was clean. I wish we could use the washer and dryer that was in the shed in the backyard. The backyard was really cute and a perfect spot for get togethers. Location was perfect. We hope to come back year after year!

Great location!

The cottage was perfect for 2 of us, and we could have had at least a couple more people stay with us comfortably. The outdoor shower is lovely, and it was a short walk to the beach, as well as to the houses of our relatives in that same area. We'd definitely stay here again!

Great family getaway

We had a great time staying at the red door! We had 5 of us there. My husband and three young kids (4.5yrs, 2.5yrs and 9 months). It was the prefect amount of space. The outdoor shower worked well for all of us (including the baby!). The beach was wonderful. We brought a wagon with us to bring everything back and forth. There was great shopping and dining in the area. We also did a day trip from the Harwich ferry to Nantucket. Great experience overall!

Great location, clean home

A nice getaway not too far down the Cape. Easy walk to small beach, and nice town with shops and restaurants. A bit bare bones--needs real dishes and lamps! The third bedroom is dark and small.

Absolutely Perfect

This was my first VRBO experience, and I don't think I'll be able to top it. Wanted to escape with my two daughters. We were celebrating their birthdays, turning 12 and 16. The girls' weekend away was perfect. The house was quaint and clean, walking distance to the beach, and Ginny and Wes, the owners, were so helpful- always responsive when we had questions about the house and helpful with suggestions on where to eat/explore. We can't wait to go back and only wish it were available to rent in the June, July and August months.

Perfect for Family Wedding Getaway

Perfect cottage for our needs- we are a family of five and prefer cottages over hotels this worked wonderfully for us. Cottage was clean, cozy and offered all that a hotel offers and much more for less $$. Beds were comfortable and made with nice sheets and short walk to nice beach and town. Thanks Ginny we were really happy with our stay.

Great stay & location

This was our 1st visit to the Cape and the location was great! Close to the beach but yet very quiet and relaxing. It was a very enjoyable weekend for our entire family.

Just Perfect-super clean

Perfect location - easy walk to the ocean, or to the local stores. Perfect in charm/cleanliness/neighborhood... We felt so at home--the knotty pine walls, shiny wood floor, blooming window boxes...and who knew how much we all adored an outdoor shower! We can't wait to book it again. The whole VRBO process was simple--and the host of this house was attentive to texts/e-mails from booking through leaving. Oh, and bunny's in the yard each morning and evening--perfect.

Sad to leave!

We spent almost a week at the Red House and had a great stay. The cottage was clean and un-cluttered. Great outdoor shower. Perfect, quiet location, yet only a few minutes walk to town and the beach. Really has all you need for a relaxing beach vacation!
