The front room is a great place to gather for family fun, with a TV, a wide selection of games and puzzles, and a large game table. A separate living room features post-and-beam ceilings, a stone fireplace, lots of comfortable seating, and a second TV with an eclectic collection of DVDs.

The well-appointed kitchen is designed for cooking, with a Frigidaire gas range and oven, a wine fridge, two sinks, and a Bosch dishwasher. You’ll also find a wide range of tools and appliances, including a blender, ice cream maker, waffle iron, 12-cup coffee maker, teakettle, lobster pots, and more. A kitchen island invites family time during meal prep, while a separate dining area seats 8–10.

The main bedroom features a sumptuous king bed, a walk-in closet, a cozy loveseat for reading, and a small flat-screen TV. Large windows bring in morning light, and a French door opens to the back porch and garden. The luxurious main bath offers a whirlpool tub, separate sinks, and a huge dual shower with deluxe rain shower heads.

An airy second bedroom on the first floor offers twin beds, great light, and plenty of closet space. Also on the first floor is a private powder room and a separate, well-stocked laundry room.

The second floor offers two spacious, light-filled bedrooms, one with twin beds and one with two queen beds. Another full bath includes a shower, bath, and twin sinks. Also upstairs is a charming reading nook featuring a sunny window seat and shelves with books for all ages.

You’ll really feel that you’re on vacation in this home. It’s designed for comfort and relaxation, with spacious rooms, cozy seating, comfy beds, and plenty of separate areas for rest, reading, conversation, and family fun. A choice of temperature controls--including screened windows throughout, ceiling fans, and A/C units-- lets you select what works for you while helping to protect the environment.

THE GROUNDS: FUN IN THE SUN (OR SHADE)

Outside you'll find an inviting wraparound porch that's perfect for morning coffee or wine and cheese in the evening. There's seating all around, including a cushioned sofa and chairs, tables, and lounge chairs for relaxing in the sun or shade.

The large private yard has trees full of birdsong, flowering bushes, and lots of space for playing or sunning. A teak patio table with umbrella is great for outdoor dining, and the deluxe gas grill is big enough to cook for everyone. A fully enclosed outdoor cedar shower is the perfect way to end a day at the beach or in town.

The house comes with a full complement of beach equipment, including towels, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, coolers, and sand toys, so you don't have to buy things or drag them from home. You'll also find outdoor games like paddle ball and frisbee.

A WONDERFUL CENTRAL LOCATION

The property's Surfside location is central to beaches, shops, biking, and hiking. Take the bike path or back roads to the south shore beaches, just 1.4 miles away. The adjacent Nantucket State Forest is great for walking; you can also try out the forest's public 18-hole disc golf course.

Right down the street is the Hinsdale Park & Discovery Playground, a multi-use area with a great accessible playground. Also nearby is The Creeks Preserve, a lovely park that overlooks the Creeks salt marsh and Nantucket Harbor.

Lots of hidden-gem shops are within easy walking distance, including the Nantucket Meat and Fish Market, Espresso to Go, the Nantucket Bake Shop, Pip & Anchor, and some of the island's best family-owned restaurants. To go further afield, you can catch the WAVE bus line just two blocks away to get to pretty much anywhere on the island.
