Picturesque Penthouse in Old Town Staffed Villa w/Views and Rooftop Pool

Thank you Renee for your kind words… well, at least up until the ‘but’. We must confess that we were a little surprised by your rather critical review given that at no time during your stay did you reach out to us regarding your concerns on the Whatsapp conversation that we create for all our guests. Your comments to us on the conversation always implied that you were enjoying yourself. As well, prior to your stay you mentioned to us that you had watched had our renovations from an apartment a few blocks further up the hillside which lead us to believe that you knew of the Villa’s location. Everything that you mentioned in your review, the hill, the stairs and the living room and kitchenette location are all disclosed in the listing as is a photo of the front of the house which clearly shows that the main house is 3 floors. The headline on the listing also states that the apartment is a Penthouse. We do have 3 other apartments on lower floors at the Villa which have full kitchens and indoor living areas but they are a higher rate than the unit that you rented. You also mention that there is no alternate route to the Villa to avoid the hill when in fact there is… you can reach the Villa up a short set of stairs from the next street over. And without complaint, we’ve in fact had guests in their 70’s and we had dinner parties at the Villa for a group in their 80’s. We will apologize for the dogs barking but it seems everyone in PV has a dog not to mention the many strays that wander streets and neighbourhoods in the town. It seems that you can’t escape the sounds of a barking dog in the town but you can escape the noisy buses and night clubs and bars which we do at our our Villa. While we’re certainly not diminishing your experience, we just don’t think we deserved this review. We went out of way to make your stay as comfortable as possible as we do with all of our guests. Our houseman even went shopping for you to buy beach chairs because you were upset that your favourite spot on the beach was now charging to use their chairs. We provide a beautiful villa with so many extras included for free that other rentals will charge you extra for. And our nightly rates are lower than our competition because most rentals are overpriced in PV anyway and we took into account that we are hillside and have stairs when we set the prices. We know we provide great value in our beautiful, fully equipped home. Maybe in the future, you might give us a second chance.
