"We lucked out" is what you'll say when you walk out on the terrace. The apartment was remodeled in 2024 and boasts new wiring, powerful AC, solid wood doors, new paint, new floor, new bathroom & fixtures and a window in the shower that looks out on the ocean.

Guests can watch tourists & locals stroll the Malecon below and see cruise ships, whales, moon sets, local vendors, sculpture art & sunsets from the terrace of this comfortable studio apartment.

Conveniently located between Centro and Zona Romantica, the location can not be matched. You can WALK EVERYWHERE!!!! It is not handicap accessible and has no elevator; it is 4 flights from street level.

Nice Condo on Malecon

Perfect Location

Uno Malecon is a perfect location on the ocean. The listing is very accurate. We enjoyed whale watching from the balcony and walking the Malecon. The location is close to the Romantic Zone, grocery stores, markets, banks, restaurants, buses and is very walkable. We enjoyed birding along the nearby Cuale River. The condo was very comfortable and the rooftop patio was a great place to meet other guests, relax and take in the sights and sounds of the area. Pat was a great host and Marina and David (condo staff) were very helpful. We hope to return over and over again. We would highly recommend this condo.

Very very nice location, but before renting, ask the host if they repaired: 1) Air conditioner 2) Ceiling fan (just hummed) 3) Multiple broken tiles 4) Peeling paint

Fantastic hospitality, fantastic location

This place lived up to the reviews we read when deciding where to stay. The owner was so helpful and a joy to meet. We saw whales while sipping coffee on the porch. It was a easy walk to the steps up to la cruz. Eco bike shop was only 5 minutes walk away and had a great day of mountain biking from there. The walk to the romantic zone and all the restaurants offering what ever you are in the mood for was a breeze. The Malecon was always entertaining and the ice cream vendor literally just a step away had amazing lemon and strawberry sorbet. I could go on and on. The other item we loved was watching the sunset from the rooftop, dipping in the cool pool after a long day exploring all PV has to offer. Needless to say we will be keeping our fingers crossed that this gem will be availible on our next visit. This is place was perfect for the 2 of us. The bed was very comfortable and the crashing waves had me sleeping like a baby.

Best location in PV

This place is central to everything. Love the sounds of the ocean when you are falling asleep at night. It can be a little noisy being right on the malecon but it didn't bother us, we wanted to be where the action was. Ac worked great. Marina was so nice and everyone else who lived in the building. Thanks for the great stay!

Location is everything.

The apartment was exactly as described. Plenty of room for a solo traveler. The property is older, but everything works. Very comfortable bed. Plenty of towels, etc. AC works well and there is a ceiling fan as well. Marina and Fabian were attentive and helpful. The balcony is quite small but the view is wonderful.

Ideal residence in multi faceted, safe neighborhood.

Clean, spacious suite. Utilities & appliances work well. AC was quiet and effective which was invaluable given the high humidity and higher than avg temperatures. Residential building is quiet. Sounds of casual life on the malecon below when booths are set up in evenings are peaceful enough to enjoy from the balcony, and completely inaudible inside. 4th story balcony provides a better view. While still being close enough to enjoy the sound of gentle surf on the shore. Even from inside if patio door is open. A great way to start the day! Communication with owner was prompt and clear. Landlady is helpful. Bldg laundry facilities are an asset and not crowded. Residents are invested in security of bldg but are friendly to guests. Centro & Romantica neighborhoods are easily & safely walkable. Convenience stores and pharmacies throughout. The malecon is a diverse scene that changes through the day. But be sure to escape its hucksters and shysters hawking t-shirts & trinkets, overpriced liquor, and underwhelming food. The immediate neighborhood has an abundant variety of good and excellent restaurants. And several galleries featuring an impressive array of arts & crafts.

Great location

When we arrived Carlos and Fabian help us with our bags and were very courteous. We had a great time and every night the pirate ship is front row view from our balcony. But you want a better view just go upstairs to the common area and check out PV. We will definitely consider staying here again. It's located right on the Malecon. In the middle of it all!!!!

Loved the Location/Great Ocean View!

5 star for location for sure ! We loved being able to walk to everything from restaurants ,beaches and being situated smack dab on The Malacon always great people watching . Being on top floor it was quiet all but the sound of ocean waves .The building felt safe (,we slept with sliding glass door open every night )and the staff were more more than helpful. Marina who is go to girl at the condo can speak English so communication was fine . Also response time and questions to owner were answered ASAP The pics of condo are bang on It’s simple ,clean ,comply bed and provided all the amenities my hubby and I needed BONUS rooftop pool 👍 Thank you We will return ! Been staying here for a few years, crazy cool location, the ocean wave lullabys ate no match to anything. Excellent communication. Clean. Afforadanke. Great bed! Great sheets! Overall...pack your bag, GO!

Excellent place

Stayed at the studio for two weeks. Property is very well kept, upstairs pool(s) are gorgeous, along with the views. AC worked very well as did the internet. Quiet after midnight even on weekends, but tons of great food and people outside the building. Everything was perfect.

beautiful location

Our dream vacation unfortunately was just that a “dream”. Our 2nd day was reality set in with renovations to the pool which was directly located above our suite. In addition to the hammering of pool tile the Malacon walkway right below out suite was also being cut up to install new lighting. So unfortunately there were no afternoon siesta to be had. To make matters worse we decided to take off on a road trip for 4 days hoping all the work would be finished when we returned. We were disappointed only to find the work still going on and we were now paying high season prices for the same noisy place. Beyond that the place was perfect, location perfect and the sound of the ocean heaven!

Lovely Studio Rental

This studio was a great week getaway for my boyfriend and I. We loved walking into the room with the far wall completely opened up to the outside, looking over the water. We didn't get to see the sunset but instead incredible lighting storms over the water each night. It was really hot in August so when our AC broke I got no sleep. Shauna was wonderful and oversaw it getting fixed the next day while we were away exploring. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen convenient, the view was lovely, and Shauna was very helpful. The building is in the best location, right next to the beach with tons of stores and markets in close walking distance. Super easy to catch a bus nearby to get out of town for exploring. Overall we probably won't visit Puerto Vallarta again but Casa Kai was great.

BEST EVER!

I stumbled upon this rental! WOW, I am extremely elated that I did! I will not stay anywhere else from here on out when visiting PV. I have been coming to PV for over 20 years. Always stayed in one place, till I found this oceanside, hidden gem. Its fantastically located, crazy cool sunrises, sunsets, viewing the water from all directions and having the "people" watching at your fingertips makes for this well appointed condo. The entire wall of glass doors open up unto the waterfront, the cross breezes are refreshing. There is wi-fi, tv, AC, and thee MOST friendliest MOST responsive host, Shawna. She is quick to answer questions, lead you in the right direction, and pays close attention to detail in every fashion. My son is there right now, staying in "my" studio. The pricing is very fair. The studio is safe. I cannot say enough about this place. Hop a plane, and plan your mexican getaway right this second and book this place! Its sets a high bar of standards all the way around. I have been vacation owner for many a years, I know what to look for, this studio apartment has ALL of it. I will return again and again and again. Gracias!

One word: AMAZING !!

We have found the paradise :). We are a couple in their fifties and when we are on holidays, we like to be well centered. This is THE spot. If you want to see people, musicians, ocean, entertainers, pelicans, dolphins, spectacular sunsets, cruising boats, yatches, you are in the good location. The description and photos of the condo are like the reality. The wall in front of the ocean is a wall of sliding windows. You can open it completely, and where ever you are in the studio, you only see the ocean. Also, you can keep it open all day long; you'll never see a fly or a mosquito! Also, with the ocean breeze, you don't often need the air conditionning. If, like us, you like to have long walks, you will be well served. The Malecon boardwalk is absolutely fantastic ! Many restaurants, boutiques and all you need are around. If you prefer to take the bus, it is just in the street behind the buillding. Also, Shauna, the manager, is very helpful. She does all she can to make our staying fabulous. She answers rapidly and accommodates us the best possible. So, if you look for a great place, don't hesitate to rent this unit. It'a a little jewel !!!

great value for a couple that wants to stay near the action and be able to walk anywhere you want

The keeper met us at the door when we got in late from the airport, gave us our keys and showed us to our room, pointing out some of the amenities. The room is a studio with kitchenette and a queen bed. It's very clean and the whole wall to the small balcony is sliding windows. The balcony has spectacular views of the bay and the malecon. One flight up is a rooftop patio with a pool with views of the centro, romantica district, the mountains behind and the sweeping coastline. The location could not be more convenient for those that like to walk and explore. Out the front door you are steps away from the male con, centro and romantica districts. The view from the deck, and the location makes you feel you are in luxury digs, for modest pricing. Highly recommended.

LOCATION. Malecon Uno is conveniently located on the ocean in Centro, a 5-10 minute walk to Zona Romantica. It is very close to public bus service, dozens of restaurants, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Los Muertos Beach, and Cuale Island Flea Market. Walkabilty at it's best.
